A list of puns related to "The Punisher (TV series)"
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any series that have an extensive element of violence similar to that of The Punisher or has psychological manipulation between a villian and heroine (i.e. Jessica Jones). Thank you!
I was watching The Punisher with my girlfriend after just beating TLOU2 some weeks ago and she said this would be a good game if made by the people who made TLOU2 and I canβt do anything but agree. The emotions in the TV series is something Naughty Dog is known for being able to translate that same energy into a video game. The characters are so lively in TLOU and The Punisher series and grimey. Thereβs a good amount of similarities when I think of translating that series to a game and I would not put that trust in any company besides Naughty Dog. Thereβs plain out action and suspenseful moments, thereβs also stealth moments. I really hope for the people who have seen the show share the same thoughts because I could definitely see the comparison and greatness that could come from it although it wonβt happen.
On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate it?
So, my dad is a picky watcher. He has a very specific taste.
This is how I describe my dad's taste in movies and TV:
With that in mind, I'm actually surprised that he enjoyed The Punisher so much and even asking for Season 3. But it also bring another headache for me thinking about what's next. I'm hesitant to give him other Marvel Series like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage or Daredevil because they might be not really grounded or has complicated stories. So my question boils down to two:
I appreaciate any help that I get. Thank you for reading π
After watching half of the Daredevil series this weekend, it got me thinking about what other gritty Marvel properties would be great additions to the small screen. I know that Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and the Defenders are all set to hit Netflix over the next few years but what about another popular marvel character; the Punisher.
I always found that the Punisher to be one of the best characters in the Marvel universe. A true anti-hero that is ruthless plus realistic and has a great story to tell. I always found the three film attempts made at the character to be rushed or missing vital components of his character and storyline. Perhaps going to TV is what the Punisher needs to truly succeed. I know Tom Jane has always wanted to come back to the character and a few years ago released this well received short film, Punisher: Dirty Laundry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWpK0wsnitc
I know Marvel again owns the rights to the character but I believe the character is in need of a show on Netflix or HBO. I know there was discussion over the last few years about it being launched on FOX, ABC and now nothing. It needs to be on a network that will allow the writers to explore the violence and dark story lines the comics are known for. Thoughts?
EDIT: character name.
The first question I had is with how in season 1 frank treated rawlins and Russo. I thought he operated on a one shot one kill policy so why did he prolong their agony so much? Second the whole weird dream sequence castle had with his wife while being tortured by Rawlins, what was the significance in that, and castle saying he was home and all that?
I've always thought that the Punisher isn't a movie character and better suited for a serialized show.
I am looking for some recommendations on TV series to watch while working out on the treadmill.
I just finished the 9 seasons of 24 which was perfect. Slow paced or subtitled won't do and I am not a huge superhero fan. Favourite genre would be action/adventure. I already watched: Lost in Space, Shooter, Black Summer, Peaky Blinders, The Punisher.
Any recommendations are appreciated!
Have already seen: Mindhunter, The break, true detective, manhunt, stranger things, nightwalker, dont f with cats, narcos, peaky blinders, fargo, dark, sherlock, sinner, bodyguard, squid games, breaking bad, punisher, blacklist, daredevil, better call Saul.
Edit: added few I've seen but missed to add.
I can only see them meeting during the blip. Where Natasha wants to investigate a mad man vigilante wearing a skull vest hunting down criminals and basically getting caught in the crossfire where she has to work with Frank to take out a mob that wants both of them dead.
I can see Natasha not approving of Frankβs actions since she didnβt approve of Hawkeyes decent into madness becoming Ronin but she would have an understanding of Franks actions since he had a wife and two kids murdered and it lead to him becoming the Punisher.
Would of been cool if there was a movie or tv series of one season if they both met during the blip maybe adding Ronin and having The Punisher, Black Widow and Ronin taking out a mob family like the Gnucci crime family since they all took over New York after Fisk went to jail and the lost population lead to law enforcement going down.
How does anyone seeing it playing out and what event should of been the meeting ?
He was tired of being pushed around
English isn't my native language (not even my second language). But I do love to watch british series in english and if available with subtitles(not often the case somehow). Imagine my confusion when a unrelated looking 30 year old calls the older women character Mom. Because it didn't happen to often on my viewings (maybe Ma'am isn't that common) I was confused but I put it always aside as me being not attentive enough. Only with the magic of subtitles was I able to understand how much of an moron I was.
