A list of puns related to "The Pleasure of Being Robbed"
Itβs nice to see Drummond play up to his capabilities; heβd surely be an all star if he was consistent all year
This is actually bothering me a lot. You donβt shoot someone point blank when theyβve given up. You sneak up on someone in a game of paintball and you make it clear that theyβre dead and youβre sparing them the bruises. Itβs a mutual agreement that that person is now dead and out. Pulse put the gun to hibanaβs head and disarmed her. She cheated by picking it back up later. He eliminated her, she lost. Pulse 1v5βd and is the real MVP here. Ubi just give the defenders the win, you got this all wrong.
Someone walks up to you at 1am with a knife and says "give me your money"
But your pockets are empty. You don't have any phone or cash or anything to give him.
What should you do?
I can't help but feeling like we were robbed of the proper GoT ending we deserve. Nothing will change the way this series is ending: There is only one S8E3, only one S8E4, and they are the ones we got. No do-overs. It's like being in a stupid car crash, just wishing you could turn back the time, undo it all, but you can't. It's done.
I know final two episodes are still ahead of us, but even if they are as best as they can be they can't fix what's already wrong (goodbye WW plotline and the entire "the only battle that matters" theme, hello "kinda forgot" and weird decision making) - they can only improve on what's left. That is, if they actually will improve, which is a very big if.
Sure, the book ending may be better, but (a) who knows if we'll ever get to actually read it, and (b) it doesn't change the fact that the ending of the series sucks.
The decline was slow since S5, but despite a few hic-ups here and there, the passion for the series and the excitement for a new episode were still there. Maybe it wasn't as a bad, maybe knowing that there is still time to undo the wrong. There is no way I will miss the final two episodes, but I'm honestly more anxious than excited now. At least the memes will be dank...
Guess what I'm trying to say here is just that I'm just genuinely sad about what's happening since E3 and wanted to share. I'm not depressed or anything, I'll get over the it and all, it's just so fucking disappointing.
Cheers, and here's to hoping E5 tonight will be good. Fingers crossed.
A lot of people miss the βglory daysβ of being a kid with no responsibilities. They were great, but whatβs great about being an adult?
yes Ive used the search funciton nothing substantial
Okay, look, this is really just my r/drrankdownlite cut, but Iβm really fucking proud of it so Iβm posting it here and Iβll just crosspost it to there as my cut. That sub really doesnβt get enough exposure anyways and Iβm sure Iβll harvest some healthy Mikan discussion by posting it here, anyways.
Mikan Tsumiki: arguably one of, if not the most polarizing character in the series. Iβm really shitty at intros, if Iβm real with you, so this is all youβre getting out of this. I promise the rest of this write-up is better, okay? Seriously, give it a go.
Fair warning before I go on with this: this has full spoilers for DR2 and DR3.
Design
In terms of design, Mikan Tsumiki has one of the best in the series. When you see her, you already know what you need to know: sheβs a nurse. Her apron makes this immediately visible, and her entire outfit really just tells you that sheβs exactly as advertised. Her pink, blue, and white outfit just has a very medical-ish vibe to it. Pastels are always right.
Not all relates to her talent, though: her outfit also hints at her backstory. The bandages she has wrapped around her left arm and right leg heavily hint towards her bullying. Alongside her uneven, heavily-cut ribboned hair, and the extra band-aid on her left kneecap, this tells you more about what she is: a tragic character.
Personality
Mikan is a character often criticized because of her personality, but the depth hiding within it is one of the best parts of her character. On the surface, she seems to just be a meek, timid, and fragile individual, crying at the slightest provocation, profusely apologizing, and often stuttering with her words. She constantly worries about annoying, boring, or offending other people. In her introduction, she even asks Hajime if it would be alright if she remembered his name. Naturally, being this delicate makes her a target for Hiyoko Saionjiβs constant harassment. Despite that, Mikan repeatedly states that she enjoys being on Jabberwock Island, if only because her classmates actually acknowledge her and find her useful while on it.
Despite this, however, Mikan loses that entire side to her when it comes to her job as a nurse. She gains a lot of confidence in her abilities as a nurse, and when it comes to autopsies, sheβs unparalleled in her level of knowledge and detail, something that comes back to bite her in 2-3. Furthermore, sheβll even go as far as to sometimes give unwanted information about how to make her classmate
... keep reading on reddit β‘From the ages of 4-18 we are trapped in schools for 8 hours a day. In those 8 hours we have to sit in a seat for majority of time and weβre not allowed to get up or talk or take too many bathroom breaks. Lots of kids hate school. When there is a snow day and class is cancelled they get happy and cheerful about it. Now imagine how much life could have been experienced in that time. How many relationships, adventures, exploration, time with our family that we were robbed of. How much shaming happens in schools, unnecessary competition, idle hours wasted, useless information we memorized. And homework because 8 hours, time spent commuting, time spent getting ready was not enough. Being unnaturally ripped out of our sleep early in the morning . Then when people turn 18 they start taking on 30,000$ loans every year. Once theyβre thousands of dollars in debt they start working a shitty job with low start pay (if theyβre lucky). Now they are 25, they were robbed from many healthy young years of their lives. Imagine the morals and memories that were lost in that time. 25 is considered young, 25 isnβt that young. Itβs young when you never had time to live.
