A list of puns related to "The Monkey King (film)"
Hi folks. I have recently been creating battle maps for all sorts of things, mainly my own campaigns, and I was being asked about what kind of encounters are in said maps, so I decided to write an encounter guide for one of them: Lost Temple of the Monkey King
The adventure takes our heroes into the mountains and then into a complex, fraught with traps, tricks and puzzles, all designed to thwart would-be thieves in the realm of the Monkey King. Finally, through into the mysterious underground โStone Woodโ before weaving through to the temple itself.
Hereโs a link download for the pdf guide (135mb): The Guide (compressed version)
Itโs basically 3 digital maps, and a 19-page guide to a series of puzzles, traps, tricks and encounters that you could use within your own games to fill the space I provide. Itโs only a bunch of suggestions and by no means do you have to use it, in fact I suggest you take a look and tailor it to your own needs. The guide is aimed at โTier 1 playโ but it does tier into 3 levels of difficulty by using my CIA system.
The guide also contains a new โcreatureโ and 2 new magic items (that can be used as a set).
You can find my original VTT maps here: Maps
Please note that all of my stuff is completely free (I donโt do Patreon, marketplace etc.), and a way to give back to a hobby that I have enjoyed so much for over 35 years. All I ask is that you donโt sell them, and you credit me wherever possible (if possible). This map is not available on other sites and therefore contains only images of my own creation. All content is original.
I appreciate your feedback and I hope you enjoy!
Anytime MK uses his ulti the game will lag for just over a second. Can't anything be done to fix this? This issue has been around since the hero got released and has only been made worse with the 25 talent.
Yesterday I asked my buddy to pick Earthshaker for me because he has the arcana, I picked him MK. We swapped heroes after the pick screen and when he bought aghs we noticed that monkeys from aghs earn money for me.

In the Marvel 616 continuity, the hero known in modern times as the Monkey King was originally a Chinese gang leader that had a degree of power and some martial arts prowess. He was later tricked by a jealous rival into entering the cave where the Monkey King's legendary weapon, Ruyi Jingu Bang, a rod which is said can extend or retract to any length, was housed. When he tried to take it, he was faced by the spirit of the original Monkey King of legend himself, who judged that there was evil in his heart, and so cast him down into hell. During the events of Fear Itself, the Monkey King was freed from Hell, and later states that his own soul had merged with that of the Monkey King, thereby granting him access to his powers, memories and Ruyi Jingu Bang.

Did he also make a new agony band, the thing that - at least originally - he really wanted to be rid of?
Also, if Monkey represents the mind, Pigsy the emotions, and the horse represents the will - the three traditional parts of the soul - what do Tripitaka and Sandy represent?
Some years ago Oda-sensei said that One Piece was hugely inspired in Journey to the West and Dragon Ball. He said he felt sad when DB couldn't become a real adaptation to the modern language of this story. So he decided that One Piece would be it. When I read that I thought: I must read this Chinese novel. And I did and also watched the films and the Netflix new program, but I didn't find anything in common with One Piece except for Luffy having Monkey in his name. And because of that everyone thinks that Luffy is inspired by Monkey King. But some days ago I have an inspiration out of nowhere. Luffy isn't Monkey King, but Zoro is.
If you don't know this story I recommend to read the resume in Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_to_the_West
So Journey to the West is split into two parts. In the first part, we learn how Sun Wukong was born and how he got strong and powerful. In the second part, we see the Journey to the West. Well, we don't have yet a flashback just for Zoro, but we know somethings about him. He was a very strong child that defeated even adults and was the best disciple of the dojo. Wukong also was the best disciple and defeated anyone. Zoro had a friend who died (Kuina) and her death impacted him a lot. The Monkey King in the movie also had a friend from childhood (The nine-tailed fox) who died and impacted him a lot. The two characters use weapons very strong and that only obeys them. Wukong with his stick and Zoro with his three swords. Both characters have followers who have a lot of respect for them. Zoro had Johnny and Yosaku and Wukong had all his monkeys subordinates. Zoro and Wukong also have a very similar personality. Both are very ambitious and want to become the best that ever existed.
Well, the parallels continue in the Journey to the West. Wukong was stuck in Buddha's hand for all the problems he caused in the sky. And he was sent free just for helping the monk Tripitaka in his journey to India to retrieve the original Buddhist scriptures for China. When we met Zoro he also was stuck and would be killed, but Luffy set him free with the condition of following him in the journey to Laugh Tale.
Zoro and Wukong are advised many times in the story by their own "captains" to not kill and to trust more in people. There is a scene in One Piece and Journey to the West when both characters kill the hosts because they were actually evil, but their captains get re

Does each clone hit for the magic bonus damage on each hit? Not home to test it myself, but would love to know the results.
I'm trying to farm Rajang horn+ (I need 3) and I haven't reached him yet in the village so I've been resorting to fighting him in the hub (Hub id is 51-7888-0131-3110) which has yielded little success since I've only beaten him twice and neither gave me the Rajang horn+...Could anyone of a high level help? Much appreciated! From what I was able to gather, hitting his horns enough with crag/cluster helps break them so while any build/weapons will do, builds that are designed to break monster parts are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Now that we hear about Arthur (based off king Arthur) and Sun Wukong (The Monkey King) coming to the game and are known to be characters based off public domain legends and mythology... What other similar characters do you think may be added to the game's roster?
I would imagine Dracula / Vlad the Impaler would make a great addition the graveborns, possibly as a necessary addition to the mage class and he'd make sense as a ascended-level Vedan.
What other legendary characters would occupy the Maulers and possibly Celestial and Hypogean factions?

Hi folks, hereโs a battlemap that Iโve created for my own campaign, but you could use it as you please. This is the first in a series of maps with which I intend to create, including an encounter guide.
If you enjoy this map, please feel free to visit my Deviant Art page for more downloads (all totally free): Zat's Deviant Art
Hereโs an Imgur link to the map (with and without grids): The Map
The map is 50x50 inch on a scale of 5 feet to 1 inch. Designed for VTT.

Using remastered way of four elements to create Sun Wukong the monkey king
I really like the idea of a Sun Wukong like character. I understand that making a 100% copy will never be possible, but making something that feels like it would be great.
Iโve read a few builds most of them using monk or druid or both, and some homebrews that people created. But I want to try something myself. When going through these I saw that a lot of these spells that where needed where on the list of the monk of the four elements, so I wanted to add those that where still needed to finish it.
But the original four elements arenโt that good, but luckily SpiketailDrakeโs has made a remastered version that is more user friendly. If you haven't seen it go have a look I'll wait....They also added some of the abilities arenโt spells or have an affect similar to spells but changed to fit the theme better. I want to use this same idea to create the abilities that I would need for recreating Sun Wukongโs abilities.
The abilities that I can think of are:
ยท Duplication
ยท Freeze enemies
ยท Flying nimbus
ยท Shape change
ยท Awesome staff
Some of these are already present like would flying nimbus could be Ride the Wind (Fly). And Freeze enemies would be done with Clench of the North Wind (hold person), which was removed but can be added back for a cost of 2 ki at 6th level. The awesome staff should be a magical item given by the DM Sun Wukong needed a long adventure before he got it so players should too.
Duplication could be done with Conjure Animals at 11th level, but you would only be able to summon apes that look like copies of yourself.
Shape change could be done in several ways: you can add polymorph at 17th level, or as an ability that functions as a weaker Wild Shape. I think polymorph would come late and isnโt self only. And making itself only for such a late and expensive would make it not that fun. Because of this I gravitate to a weaker Wild Shape.
Extended option for 6th level discipline:
Many earthly forms: as an action you can change your shape in that of a Beast you know for 10 minutes. This ability functions like the druids Wild Shape (This includes the beast shape table) except for the following changes:
- Your natural attacks count as magical for overcoming resistance.
- It lasts for 10 minutes
- At the end of the 10 minutes you can use your reaction to spend 1 ki point extend it for 10 more minutes
- The ki cost of transforming in a Beast is depen

And I think it's safe to assume, there's probably a Monkey King type character in several MOBA's back when everyone was trying to ride LoL's coattails as well.
It's an oddly specific pattern I've noticed, and it happens most prominently in MOBA's, although as Warframe has shown, not exclusively a MOBA thing. Just very often in MOBA's.
This Monastic Tradition was created for a d&d setting of my own creation. It is a order of Gnomes who study under the Gnomish demigod Saljin Tenshapes, who is based of the Monkey King from Chinese folklore. This is my first attempt at creating a Monk Subclass, and I am rather iffy on its power level compared to the other Traditions.
Many monks use the power of their life force to follow the way of the Immortal known as Saljin Tenshapes. This Gnomish immortal is famous throughout the three empires as a extremely powerful yet impulsive trickster spirit. He has many gnomes under his tutelage, and they are kept in both fear and jest by those who know of this trickster order.
Only gnomes can choose the Way of the Hundred Forms.
Your DM can lift this restriction to better suit the campaign. The restriction reflects the story of the monastic order in the world of Sandar'am, but it might not apply to your DM's setting or your DM's version of Sandar'am.
Starting when you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you can expend 2 Ki points to cast Alter Self. In addition, you may add double your proficiency bonus when making a Charisma (deception) check when concealing your true nature, and you have advantage on Constitution saving throws made to maintain your concentration on it.
Beginning at 6th level, using your Hidden Form feature no long costs any Ki points, and lasts until dispelled.
Beginning at 11th level, you can use an action on your turn to expend 5 Ki points and create a magical copy of yourself at a point within 5 feet of you. This magical copy lasts for 1 hour or until they are dropped to 0 hitpoints. You may only have one duplicate at a time.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can telepathically give it commands, which it carries out to the best of its ability. This copy uses a 1d6 for its unarmed attack and has half your hitpoints, proficiency bonus, and Ki Points, but is otherwise identical to you. If you do not give your duplicate a command, it defends itself from hostile creatures but otherwise takes no actions.
Starting at 17th level, your Duplicate lasts until it is killed, and you may have two duplicates at a time, spending 5 Ki points for each one. You can command both of them at the same time, but must issue the same command to each one.
In addition, you may use an action on you
