A list of puns related to "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Companion"
While I'm saying that Scrooge is a Thief of Time, I want to point out something : I'm talking about the Scrooge seen in "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck".
Starting with the Class : Why Thief ? Honestly, the class's definition (this one) fits quite perfectly with Scrooge. I didn't find anything against it, apart from the "break rules and cheat the system". Scrooge doesn't cheat the system, he just exploits it well (one good example being "The Empire-Builder from Calisota", where he disguises as someone else to trick the tribe's chief into signing a contract [although, at one point during that story, he pays people to go burn another village, and that might be "break rules"]). Prince's description also fitted relatively well with Scrooge, but less so than Thief.
For the Aspect, though, it was kinda harder, as he seemed to fit a bit of a lot of Aspects descriptions (Time, Space, Hope, Breath and Blood), and for the other Aspect, either he didn't fit, or he almost didn't (by that, I mean "found only one weak connection". These were Heart, Light and Void). Time fitted more (Fighters [fought for his money], Marked by struggle [His journey started by the struggle of family taxes, as well as his family slowly dying], Tend to value destination [Being rich was his destination], At worst ruthless [prioritized money over the rest of his family]) Only thing against Time : Not a traditional journey. His journey : Worked as a shoe-shine, sailed to America, became a prospector. Sounds like a traditional journey.
For the other Aspects that fitted :
Space : Concerned with the big picture (McDuck's taxes, being rich) ; At worst, detached (Until Scrooge invited Donald and his nephews, he was detached. And I consider this period as one of his "Worst" periods). Against Space : Take things as they come ("King of the Klondike", where he single-handedly destroyed Slick's floating casino because he just told him his mom died)
Heart : Right for right's sake (but that's only after reuniting with the Ducks) ; At worst selfish (Yup, even if it still continues after the "Worst" part ended)
Breath : Heroism is an offshoot (His legend was built while he was just working to get rich. This also fits "Leaving an impact"). Against Breath : At worst gullible (Not really) ; "Underestimate himself" (Not at all)
Blood : Strength in bonds ("King of the Klondike", Casino even
Assuming thereβs an infinite supply at current market value, I suppose.
Or, for fun, an xkcd style analysis of how Mr. Jeff would exhaust the worldβs gold reserves and burn the world economy to the ground.
After running as far as he could from his home in Scotland from the Knights of the Cross, Scrooge was out of places to hide. His hunger and greed had kept him living for centuries as he would stay below the radar of the Knights by buying his way out of any problems. He had decided to flee to the New World and the power systems the Church had put in place. He was not prepared to leave so quickly from home, but he was blind sided by the holy order.
He boarded the first boat he could find. He already hungered for the wealth that waited him in the free world. He knew with the power of the coin he could find the legendary city of El Dorado and claim it ALL for himself.
He was not prepared to survive the seas as his power blindness his tainted heart had lead him to believe.
As I am not the best story teller, I will paint the picture in the best light I can, which is the sweltering light of the sun from the island he was stranded on after the storm.
The coin knew his host was too weak to escape the island of his own ability. The coin knew it had to preserve the body so it could be discovered and itself with it.
To preserve the mind of his greed driven host, he created a world in his mind. One where his greed had not driven his family away. A world where he was the hero his heart longed for. He would make a world where Scrooge would be one of the only living things he tolerated, a duck. Few creatures are as evil as a Denarian, but ducks are one of the origins of evil. It would be easy enough as the coin had seen his share of horrors he could share with Scrooge to keep him motivated and living.
These are the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his goal to protect all coins he can, safe in his vault.

"I have no apprehension, no fear of death. I do not believe in an afterlife. [...] I think of death as total peace. You're beyond the clutches of all those who would crush you."
It's always interesting seeing people who've gotten extremely old talk about death. Looks like the Good Duck Artist had no fear of it and perhaps even welcomed it, not surprising considering that when reaching an age so high most don't even get to it you've been through so much you just want to rest. Especially after you've had a legendary comic-book career. Rest in peace, Carl Barks.
I'm kinda new to the series so I don't really know, can anyone help?
ETA: this is chapter 5, not 4. I'm apparently having trouble counting
Hey JustNo fam, sorry it's been awhile. Between studying for midterms (finally my final semester), studying for my board exams (holy hell is this overwhelming), and the start of all three of my mini's birthdays(I'm a panda and only ovulate once a year resulting in very close birthdays), time has gotten away from me. NAW always, this particular incident happened way back before the turn off the century when Angerona and TS were still teenagers.
In our last adventure we discussed how it was always about money, and how I am the worst gold-digger in the history of the universe. Since I left TS I have fortunately learned how to control my anxiety over money better, although I do still have a ways to go. But anyways on to today's story...
So it is the year 1999 and school was out for the summer and they were preparing for their senior year of highschool. At this point they have officially been bf/gf for 3 or 4 months. TS and Rona were spending every possible moment together, as most newly formed young couples in "love" do. Rona notices TS seems to spend a lot of time on one particular website, so being the good dutiful GF she is, she asks TS about it. It turns out that this website is a mock stock market simulation that he had been participating on for awhile (have I ever mentioned the fact that TS and I are in fact huge nerds? No? Yeah... We are, like a lot). If you all remember Rona grew up in a poor military family, so while she knew of the stock market in theory she had no real working knowledge of it. So she took it upon herself to learn from TS, maybe this could be a new shared hobby for them. TS helped Rona set up an account when the next "game" started and off they went...
One thing you need to understand is that TS and I have very different attitude when it comes to approaching situations. I am generally one to observe until I am comfortable but I tend to still be more on the conservative side. I don't like unnecessary risk, games of chance aren't fun for me, and in general, I don't like not having at least some control of a situation. I have been called a control freak, and that isn't far off most of the time. TS on the other hand is, and always has been, an adrenaline junkie. From roller coasters to petty theft to gambling, if he can get that adrenaline rush, he is game.
So as you can imagine, the way we played the game was very different. I don't remember the exact duration o

This is airing May 8th during the two week period with the 7 previously announced episodes. Could there also be two more episodes that would give us new episodes every M-F during those two weeks.
Scrooge is fighting each member of the Mane Six individually; which ones can he beat?
I'd love to see them try to put a happy ending on that one.
Take Jeff Bezos for example, his base salary is $81,840, his total yearly compensation, is $1,681,840 and pays income tax on that amount. He is "worth" billions mainly because he owns 16% stake in Amazon, not because he has billions sitting around somewhere, if he were to sell all his stock at their current value, then he would have billions (and would be taxed on those gains), if Amazon goes under tomorrow, all those billions disappear.
>The quality of your lives depends on what you make of them! The only limits to adventure are the limits of your imagination!
Scrooge McDuck was once a poor Scottish duck with hardly a cent to his name. As a child, he was shown the ruins of the ancestral McDuck castle, and told of how his family once had great stores of wealth. Scrooge became inspired to build a fortune of his own and took on his first job, as a shoeshine boy. However, the pay he got for his first shined shoes was an American dime. Furious, young Scrooge vowed to make his wealth by being tougher than the toughies and sharper than the sharpies- and doing it all square. From there, he set out to America, where his dime would have some value, and began a lifetime of action and excitement as an "adventure capitalist", amassing impossible amounts of wealth and becoming the richest duck in the world.
