The Great Escape (TGE) is the story of allied soldiers digging a tunnel to escape a German prisoner of war camp. Ironically, in BCS itβs the Germans doing the digging for the ΓΌber-lab and they are indirectly prisoners of Gusβ βwar.β The Germans are surveilled 24-7 by βguardsβ and they want to get out/back home. Kai seems likely to attempt his own βGreat Escapeβ out of the warehouse where he and the other Germans live in barrack-like facilities.
The S4 E7 [shots](https://imgur.com/a/vnxFJxC ) of Jimmy throwing a ball against the window to entertain himself while plotting his next scheme might be a nod to several memorable scenes in TGE where Hilts (Steve McQueen) entertains himself by throwing a baseball against his cell wall while plotting his next escape attempt. Jimmy is also in his own prison cell working, ironically, at a cell phone store.
2 other [scenes](https://imgur.com/a/aE7BtKc) in S4 E7 of Jimmy pacing/measuring office dimensions might be a nod to another memorable scene in TGE when Hilts tries to measure the distance to the prison fence under the ruse of retrieving his baseball, and almost gets killed for doing so.
The first name of Werner Kleiner, the German engineer hired to construct the superlab, might be a nod to βWernerβ the name of the German guard in TGE that is coerced into providing the prisoners key items needed once they escape. His wallet is also stolen by the prisoners in TGE so they can make forgeries of authentic-looking travel and identity passes.
In addition to directing Ice Station Zebra (which has a neat and symbolic role in the BB/BCS universe), John Sturges also directed ***Gunfight at the O.K. Corra***l and The Magnificent Seven, which Iβd wager are highly admired by Vince and Peter who have cited westerns as huge influences on BB/BCS.
Like in the Matrix, for example. They're shooting into the windows of a building with a helicopter and Keanu just magically misses them for so long?
It honestly tarnishes my ability to appreciate scenes like this for some reason. Anyone else?
It's finally happening. I am actually leaving my pwbpd and 8 years of marriage. She is away over the weekend (She has told me she is seeing family and doesn't know I know that she is seeing some guy). So I have the weekend to finalize packing. Monday and Tuesday I have taken as personal days for the move and to see my lawyer to get the divorce officially started. She has no idea I am going to ghost her. This may be the first time I have ever really stood up for myself with her and I won't be there to see it!
I have prepared extensively for leaving, with all my stuff being gradually sorted out over the last few weeks. I have prewarned my friends and family. My employer too as she has a history of turning up at my work places when she's disregulated. The plan I've put into motion has a name, I've called it 'The Great Escape'. That I've given it a name seems to help.
There is one thing I am really struggling with though. We have some joint pets which are a big part of why I have stayed so long. The idea that I may never get to see them again fills me with grief. Suppose I should count myself lucky that we don't have children. I can't imagine what people go through when kids are involved.
In the spirit of growth and development I am posting my plan outline. Also, feel free to point out anything I have missed:
*Β get therapy - in my case about two years worth before I could even start to plan leaving
*Β assess finances - workout exactly what is being spent and saved
*Β get own bank account
*Β get wages paid into it. Move money into the joint account to cover bills (this triggered the fuck out of my pwbpd)
*Β get access to savings accounts - I never fully managed this so had to save for a while
*Β evidence of affairs and behaviour to support divorce
*Β build and nuture support network
*Β self care - CODA group
*Β self care - gradually build up social stuff.
*Β self care - gym and sports
*Β get a lawyer
*Β buy a car
*Β work out what addresses need changing for move
*Β warn employer about what's happening
*Β spend as much time with pets as I can

*Β go see rooms to rent
*Β Pick one of the rooms and pay a deposit

I remember watching it as a child but most of my memories of it are very blurry, and I'm not sure about every detail.
I think I watched it from a DVD, but I'm not entirely sure, if it was in a DVD I think I found it in the "bonus" menu, this short wasn't the main movie in the DVD, and I probably watched it somewhere between 2004 and 2010 but the film could be older.
It was a short animated film about a guy, my memories aren't clear but maybe it was two guys, he doesn't speak he was trapped in a planet and tries to build up a spaceship or repair it, to leave the planet, I don't fully remember if he was trying to go back home or trying to escape from home.
The animation was in CG, its very unlikely but it could be in stop motion, the style was more cartoonish, or a very stylized semi-realistic.
I also have a very vague memory of a beach and a guy in a tiki bar or something like that, and the main guy successfully escaping the planet in a crazy scene where the spaceship is swirling around and we can see the inside of the flight deck and all the things going everywhere.

Welcome to Alcatraz Prison, where you will play as either The Warden or as one of five playable Gang Leaders.
Gang Leaders must plot intricate escape plans and procure escape equipment from across the prison to help navigate one of their many loyal Inmates to Freedom before Turn 29, whilst simultaneously competing with backstabbing rival Gang Leaders, and a perverse Warden.
The game plays between 2-6 players. And is played on a 89cm x 56cm hex board. The board has over 1500 accessible hexes that allow massive freedom of movement and freedom of strategy.
The board shows Alcatraz Island, consisting of the Inner Prison Walls and exterior buildings, two separate Security Fences, and the islandβs coastline.
The board is quick to set-up and is split into 6 segments/βSectorsβ upon which the prison Searchlight and Watchtowers exercise control over using specific βWarden Cardsβ.
There are eight potential Freedom Hexes (marked out with the stars and stripes) that an Inmate of a Gang must reach FIRST (before another Gang Leader does) to Win.

Well, it's done, I'm out. I am sat here typing this in my newly rented room. I'm safe and warm. Some of my stuff is with me, some is in storage and the rest is gone to new homes or chucked.
In the end, the plan was too ambitious, the timeline too short and she came home early. None of that stopped me, but I did get very little sleep over the last few days. We ended up talking about it, and I disclosed I knew of the adultery. She denied it until I said I had proof. She also agreed to sign off on a divorce with adultery as grounds, hopefully my lawyer and I can get her to stick to that as it will make things far easier. The divorce law where I live is rubbish.
Its so very lucky that she has a new FP, he seems to be picking up all the slack and this has made things far easier. Hopefully this will continue until the house is sold and the divorce petition is signed.
I'm doing OK but if I stop and reflect for any length of time some serious distress starts to make its way out. This is around leaving my old life and my pets, there is lots to grieve over there.
