A list of puns related to "The Great American Bash"
Happy Fourth of July everybody
*Jim Ross started off the podcast saying he had something to drink.
*Jim Ross has surprisingly faint praise for Fyter Fest. All he said was he thought the effort of everyone involved was excellent. He didnβt say he thought the show was good or anything like that like he did when he talked about Double or Nothing on the podcast. JR said a lot by not saying much. It felt like he was holding back giving negative feedback.
*Conrad then brings up Jim Ross not saying anything negative, which I like. Thatβs what I like about Conrad. He usually follows up with his questions.
*Conrad mentions the two main negatives people had coming out of Fyter Fest were the preshow and the chair shot. JR said he liked that Cody was going to take the chair shot on the side of his head and not the front. JR also said that because of the sharp thing coming out of the chair, the chair shot was not chair shot worthy. Said he feels chair shots to the head should not be apart of the wrestling business.
*When it comes to the preshow, JR said heβs old and stuck in his ways. Said itβs not his cup of tea but he acknowledges it wasnβt intended for him, it was intended for another target audience.
*JR talks a lot about everything going on. Talks Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff being creative directors, talks Gallows and Anderson not joining AEW, and also talks about Seth Rollins apologizing on Twitter. Very fascinating stuff.
*JR says the reason Baltimore was so successful for WCW was because promoter Gary Juster lived there.
*JR said one time he and other WCW guys went to a restaurant to celebrate Gary Justerβs wifeβs birthday and Kevin Sullivan took a birthday candle from the cake, went to the bathroom, got naked, put the candle inside his foreskin, and came out of the bathroom with only his robe on. And to top it off, the candle was lit. The reason why Kevin Sullivan did it? Ric Flair was there and he was trying to outdo him.
*JR prefers less Pay Per Views a year.
*Conrad says The Great American Bash 1990 is one of his favorite WCW shows ever.
*JR said Ole Anderson was great at developing heels but he also had horrible people skills.
*JR said that new is important to wrestling fans.
*JR said El Gigante was a nice guy but he didnβt have any talent. He said his training was mishandled from the very first day.
*Jim Ross talks about Ric Flair meeting with George H.W. Bush. Says it shouldβve been great publicity for WCW but TBS didnβt want to air it be

Batista vs Mark Henry scrapped last minute due to Henry being injured the week before.
Bobby lashley vs finlay scrapped because Bobby lashley was injured and was out.-correction bobby lashley was on roids
Undertaker vs the great khali scrapped because of some health issue with khali. Made even worse because the match they were facing in was 'khalis gimmick' match - Khalis health issues were ROIDS
Like 3 of the matches on this card were either scrapped or reworked because of last minute injuries. Is this the unluskiest ppv ever.
Edit - so double checking apparently some false positives happened which is why super crazy and bobby lashley were pulled from the card. Khali was apparently pulled because the back realized he was to inexperienced to pull off the gimmick.
I mean they changed night of champions to clash of champions already. I also would love to push to bring back Halloween Havoc.
Bash at the Beach just sounds so much cooler than Great Balls of Fire.

The 2005 WWE Draft brought a tremendous shakeup as the world titles switched shows: WWE Champion John Cena was sent to Raw and World Heavyweight Champion Batista was brought to SmackDown. JBL originally believed he was winning a newly-created SmackDown Championship until it was revealed that he would be the number one contender to Batista's title. Injuries were beginning to mount for JBL but he was still capable of doing his part to put over Batista; the problem is that this came off as the lite version of his feud with Cena months earlier. JBL was one of only two top heels on SmackDown (the other being Eddie Guerrero) which meant there wasn't anywhere else to go. This match ended in a predictable disqualification.
The Muhammad Hassan character came to an end at this show as he was taken out with a Last Ride powerbomb through the stage by Undertaker following their match to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Hassan had several masked "terrorists" assault Undertaker on the edition of SmackDown immediately following the bombings in London on July 7, 2005. The angle was bad enough but the timing was worse, and UPN refused to allow the Hassan character on SmackDown any further. Hassan was an interesting character, but the issues he addressed were too smart for the wrestling business. Shades of grey are cool, but it is ultimately about good versus evil. Furthermore, Hassan the wrestler wasn't very good and he had tremendous heat on himself backstage, some warranted, some not. Hassan would ultimately never make it back to WWE television and he would retire in quiet anonymity. Hassan was booked to win this match versus Undertaker and likely would have defeated Batista at SummerSlam.
The rivalry between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio reached bizarre levels as Guerrero began talking of a secret he threatened to reveal about Rey's family, particularly his son Dominick. This was a good match, though the story distracted from it a bit. Mysterio would win which mean Eddie promised to keep his mouth shut, but he would tell anyway, revealing that Dominick was in fact his son and that he was given to Rey's family to adopt (despite the fact that Dominick looks exactly like Rey).
Speaking of bizarre, Road Warrior Animal made a return to WWE television to pr

Or the taskmaster vs nobody in that falls count anywhere, were Jimmy and brain the only heel managers available?
Soooooooooooo obviously I'm taking a day to takeover again when my birthday comes around (three weeks from today) but I'm gonna try something unprecedented. Before I accepted my role as Seth Rollins, I was a mod that gave the people what they wanted. In an attempt to go back to those days, I think it's time to give back, and do it again.
So on Monday July 20th (or that Tuesday, we'll see when we get closer) I've decided to ask for your suggestions on what to play. Won't be there all day but in the end I have a movie in mind for a main event....
Anyway with this responsibility, there's some rules:
Only one suggestion per person.
Try not to go over an hour. I might make exceptions though.
Don't link to something we wouldn't normally play.
That's all. Go crazy. First come first served. Link stuff in the comments and I'll add it to the list. I'd like for the stream to go pretty long so everyone can add something, probably 8 hours leading up to either Raw (or Total Divas)
