Chris Evans appeared as Captain America in a movie every year for 9 straight years (2011-2019). This is a record that might not be ever be broken by another MCU actor. Further, this might not be something we see ever again in the film industry.
2011- Captain America: The First Avenger (Lead)
2012- Marvelβs The Avengers (Lead)
2013- Thor: The Dark World (Cameo)
2014- Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Lead)
2015- Avengers: Age of Ultron (Lead)
2016- Captain America: Civil War (Lead)
2017- Spider-Man: Homecoming (Cameo)
2018- Avengers: Infinity War (Supporting)
2019- Avengers: Endgame (Lead)
Robert Downey Jr.βs longest streak of playing Iron Man in consecutive years was 5 (2015-2019).
This is just meant to be a fun discussion. Will we ever see another MCU actor appear in a movie for 9 straight years? Will we ever seen an actor doing anything close to this outside of the MCU.
And to get ahead of the people who are going to say βtHoSe WeRe JuSt CaMeOs,β it doesnβt really matter. He still appeared in the movie. As far as I can tell there isnβt another actor who has a year-to-year streak of playing the same character anywhere close to this.

TIL the last hand-drawn animated film was the 2011 film Winnie the Pooh. In March 2013, CEO Bob Iger said there were no 2-D features left in development at the company; about a month later, its hand-drawn division was eviscerated and many veterans let go.

One of Peter Jackson's first films was "Braindead (1992)," where a woman is bitten by a Sumatran rat monkey. In "King Kong (2005)," a crate is seen containing this animal, and in "The Adventures of Tin Tin (2011)" produced by Jackson, Tin Tin's dog is referred to as such by the steamboat captain.

[US] A Separation (2011) A surprisingly tense portrayal of an Iranian couple and the husbandβs struggle to care for his elderly father who suffers from Alzheimerβs. 99% and 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. Oscar and Golden Globe winner for best Foreign Film.
I realize this isnβt everyoneβs cup of tea, but goddamn, this is a fine film. The cinematography is intimate, claustrophobic even. The editing is swift, confident. Every shot feels purposeful. The acting is out of this world realistic. The plot and screenplay is complex, each character is both virtuous and flawed. Thereβs a ton of gray area, nothing is black and white. Itβs so gritty, itβs one of those movies that is both art imitating life and life imitating art.
If you consider yourself a film buff or movie connoisseur you owe it to yourself to see this.

I (good) Cried at the Doctor's Today
I don't know if I flaired this correctly but I just had to tell someone(s) who would understand my news.
Anywho, hi, I'm Destiny.
I started this journey at 220 and a A1C of 11.6 2 years ago. I brought it down slowly and when I went in October they were talking about the possibility of insulin, which I didn't want. They have me on Victoza and Metformin at the moment.
Since October I've changed my diet even more and started doing yoga in hopes that it would change something.
I went in today and I am now down to 180 and my blood pressure had dropped significantly, I went to the room to wait and the nurse stick my finger. I'm sitting in the room waiting for my doctor to come and I hear outside the door.
"I got her A1C."
"What is it?"
"6.3"
"Are you serious?"
The doctor knocks and comes in with a smile on her face and all I can say is, "Did I just hear MY A1C?"
She told me yes and I burst out in tears. I was so prepared for bad news.
I just feel so happy and hopeful that I can keep losing weight and get things somewhat under control.
Thanks for listening, sorry for the ramble. π

Genuine question: What's so special about the 2011 film Drive?
I've watched it multiple times trying to understand why so many consider it a modern masterpiece but I just don't get what all the fuss is about. I found it to be really bland. Was it just overhyped or am I missing something?
