A list of puns related to "The Conservatoire"
Hi there. I have applied to these three unis to study the Bachelor of Music program. I am struggling to decide on which one to go to next year. I want to hear opinions on where its best to study music. My thoughts are that Napier ranks 1st in the course and it is in one of my favourite cities, Edinburgh. Aberdeen is the only Scottish city I have not been to, but the music course is ranked 2nd and the university itself is one of the top rankings and finally, the Royal Conservatoire is more focused on Drama/dance and Musical theatre and it happens to be near family in Glasgow. If you were to choose, which one would you go for. I would appreciate any feedback.
Im' a 16yo cellist teenager and i'll start the conservatoire in a weeks in virtual classes (in Argentina is stil the quarantine). And i'm looking for some tips and advices I started reading "Concise Introduction to Tonal Harmony" by Straus and Burstrin. And after that maybe read "twentieth century harmony" by Persichetti. I'd appreciate it if you tell me if I'm on the right track.
Over the past year or so, I have been looking into the possibility of studying drama abroad at an acting conservatoire in the United Kingdom. I have currently decided that my first choice would be the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I am posting here to ask for some guidance in the application process. I'm an international student (from the US) and am a little unclear on what is expected in terms of qualifications? Any academic requirements? What to prepare for an audition? Any other conservatoires I should apply to? Etc.
Thank you for reading, I would really appreciate the help.
I would love to get in touch with someone who has been through the UCAS application process before!
How is the admissions criteria? What is the acceptance rate? Was the financial aid good? Did you learn a lot?
How is the financial aid for international students?
I'm looking to going into their Acting MFA program and would love get some insight and/or chat about it with someone already attending.
My 17 y/o brother really wants to study music and is going to apply for the Composition course at RCS. His school are being really unsupportive of this with no reason. His piano tutor studies there atm and has said she βdoesnβt recommend itβ without explaining what she means by this.
Heβs already exceeded the entry requirements and can play piano to the grade required - just needs to discuss 2 composition pieces he has wrote himself at an interview.
Just looking to see if anyone has studied here before and can offer any insight? Is it not as good as they make out or is it just really hard to get in?
If anyoneβs studied any other similar courses at other Unis you could recommend please let me know - weβre looking for some backups.
