A list of puns related to "The Bookstore"
Slim to Nun?
(Incidentally this is a true story and I got yelled at)
A Schopenhauer.
Guy: Of course sir. Which one?
Me: William.
Cashier: Hard back?
Me: yea, with little heads.
Worker: "Hard back?"
Me: "Yeah, with little heads."
Store owner hands him a jacket and says, βI got you covered.β
I work at a large retail bookstore, and my job is basically just to wander around and help people find what they're looking for. Yesterday I spotted an older gentleman looking lost, so I asked him if he needed help finding anything.
"Yeah, the new Dr. Seuss one, whatever it is."
So I led him to the kid's section where we have a whole display for What Pet Should I Get.
"This one's been really popular, as you can guess," I said as I grabbed one off the display for him. As I did so, a few of the books behind it toppled off the display and onto the ground.
"Yeah," he said, "I can see they're just flying off the shelves."
I laughed for a few minutes and he left with his book and the look of satisfaction that only comes from a top-tier dad joke.
Edit: Oops. Put 'today' in the title but it rly happened yesterday. Sorry! :x
Two friends walk into a bookstore After bying 23 pens 2 balloons and a pipeline One of them goes to the till Suddenly he remembers
I'm at my buddy's parent's house last night for his little birthday shindig with some friends. His mom is there and, while she's super sweet, she tends to find compliments for everything even if they're not needed.
His mom gets to talking to one of our friends about how the friend works at a bookstore downtown which happens to be a two storey building.
Friend's mom: "Oh, you work at Barnes and Noble? It must be nice to work there. It's such a building. It's so nice that it has two storeys."
Me: "I'm pretty sure there's a lot more than two stories in there..."
He said, βOf course. Which one?β
Me: βWilliam.β
The guy said, βOf course. Which one?β
