A list of puns related to "The Black Dahlia Murder (band)"
Also they'll be playing Embryonic Anomaly in full... as a support band. Lucas says they'll still be a fully instrumental band and comments for the first time on them leaving NB in the comments (although tries to spin it in a good way, not mentioning what NB said).
I've frankly found it very difficult to find a band I like better than TBDM in the vein of modern melodic death metal. Spotify is useless, as it always recommends me stuff like Job For A Cowboy and Whitechapel. Nothing is wrong with those bands, but they're not exactly melodic death metal. Lots of really great old stuff, but I can't find anything from newer bands. Suggestions are appreciated!
I see The Black Dhalia Murder being labeled as Deathcore a lot, which in my opinion they are not, but are there any specific songs that you would consider Deathcore?
Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some bands similar to tbdm. Looking for stuff with similar instrumentals and the same kind of mix of high and low vocals. Cheers!
I'ma put this here since I know I get away with it, but goddamnit I love these two bands, I'm even happier to know that some Deathcore fans here do too. My first song from BDM was Dave Goes To Hollywood (from Miasma 2005), whilst with Cattle Decap, it was the music video for Kingdom of Tyrants (Monolith of Inhumanity 2012)
I love slugdgeβs sound especially how they incorporate some clean vocals into the mix and the progressive nature of their songs. I love Dahliaβs technical rawness and agression. This sub has helped me discover some awesome bands, including these two. Any other suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated, party on! Other favorites: Mastodon BTBAM Gojira Tool Revocation The Mars Volta Animals as Leaders
My absolute favourite band, loved them for a while but never really found anyone I find that has a particularly similar sound to them, apart from maybe at the gates?
If anyone has a suggestion for a similar band to shadow of intent thatd also be great, been loving their stuff recently
Me and the rest of the band were going to support our friends in the bands Reanimator and Disillusion Effect from Morgantown, WV who were to open for TBDM at 123 Pleasant Street in Morgantown. Got a call the morning of the show from Jimmy the guitarist of DE saying they might not be able to play due to their bassist having a delayed flight and he asked us to bring our gear just in case. Good thing we did. I want to say a huge thank you to Disillusion Effect for having us fill in for them and to Reanimator for letting us use their guitar cabs and bass rig. This was our first time playing with a major label act. I'm still excited and wanted to talk about it! Still kind of surreal having got to open for such a bad ass band!
(Not the band!)- the gruesome murder of Elizabeth Short, nicknamed βthe Black Dahliaβ. The mystery of Shortβs killer is not even the most interesting part, but rather the condition her remains were found- leaving the description of βan abandoned mannequinβ. Shortβs murder is one of the oldest cold case files in L.A. (1940βs), as well as one of the most famous.
I'm a listener of a lot of genres overall but I always loved them, any recomendations?

The Black Dahlia Murder, After the Burial, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil (yay!!), and I can't read the last logo. I'll edit if someone can figure that out. I am guessing another death metal band.
Last band is Undeath. Thank you /u/beneath_the_wheel!
