A list of puns related to "The Ballad of Davy Crockett"
Modern day, somewhere up in the northwest United States. In a similar episode to the classic movie The Warriors, in an anarchic ghetto downtown about the size of New Delhi, many groups of street gangs are left struggling for their turf and generally being the undisciplined, lawless youth they are. In a last-ditch attempt to reclaim their land, the gangs coincidentally all think of using the abandoned lab underground to clone back several historical figures to life. Specifically, ten of them, for these ten small gangs.
Specifically, these ten men are;
Sun Tzu, the Qi Chinese general who wrote a book that even millenia on still inspires tacticians to this day.
Hannibal Barca, the Carthaginian general who crushed the previously feared armies of Rome during the Punic wars.
Yi Sun-Sin, the admiral responsible for halting the Japanese invasions of Korea and decimating Japanese naval fleets at Myeongnyang.
Alexander the Great, the man responsible from bringing the small city state of Macedonia into the greatest empire the world had ever seen since the Persians.
Frederick the Great, one of the driving forces that lead the Prussian army to infamy and greatness, especially in the Seven Years' War.
Napoleon Bonaparte, commonly praised as one of the greatest tacticians who ever lived in his bouts from the dawn of the French Revolution til his fall in 1815.
Davy Crockett, One of the renowned 'Texas Martyrs' who lead the last stand at the Alamo in 1836.
Robert E. Lee, celebrated Confederate general and a force to be reckoned with in the eyes of Union soldiers.
Sir Douglas Haig, one of the biggest recognizable tactical names in the bloody, revolutionary warfare of World War I.
and Erwin Rommel, known as the 'Desert Fox', respected by comrades and enemies alike, and nearly crushing the British during his campaign in Egypt.
They decide to unleash their full potential out on conquering the entire city, with about a year's worth of prep to do so. They start off with a gang of 1,000, but can recruit new gang members out the population of 850,000. These gang members are armed with usual stuff street gangs carry; guns, knives, baseball bats, chains, knuckle dusters, swords, whatever they can get their hands on. Assume they're realistic gangs to start off, not martial artists like in the Warriors. Untrained, undisciplined, basically Bloods and Crips times ten. Optional 'top' mercenaries can be hired for $500 or so, but at best they're as well armed as the Colum

The two most compelling things I have heard of are the slave Ben's testimony that he died in the barracks and the Pena memoirs declaring that he surrendered and was executed after.
Are there any other details worth knowing?
Thanks.
It was cancelled in 1971, so well after the first ICBM was launched but before SALT. It seems like the sort of thing that would be useful in the event of a ground war, so I'm guessing total annihilation became the expected outcome of a war with the USSR?

I saw this on an updated episode of Antiques Roadshow today. What are your thoughts?
Alamode.
I got bored and wrote a mini essay on a weapon idea i had for fun. I know nuke launcher ideas have been floated around as a joke. But i intend to make a serious attempt at making one that is actually balanced and would work in the vanilla game. I would like to see others share their own ideas of a balanced nuke launcher as well.
300% Damage bonus, doing 450 damage on a direct hit. (Yes, i know +300% of the stock damage would be 448, but it will be fixed at 450 for balance)
300% Damage Push Force (This also affects rocket jumping)
100% larger blast radius
Damage is not affected by range (Though splash damage still is)
Has lingering radiation damage with a 50% larger radius than the blast itself that lasts 10 seconds (Radiation doesn't affect buildings & does same amount of damage as fire)
/ Makes a whistling sound as it approaches
/ Has a mushroom cloud effect for the explosion
Projectile is affected by gravity (Medium range when used on the ground but can shoot farther if on an elevated platform)
75% Minus clip size (Only holds one shot at a time)
95% Minus primary ammo on wearer (Only has maximum of 1 ammo)
Can only receive primary ammo from level 3 ammo packs
50% Slower move speed while active
100% Slower holster and unholster speed
Just one Davy Crockett nuke weighed 76 pounds, and the launcher itself weighed 185 pounds so i decided to have the soldier move twice as slow while wielding it and only have 1 nuke at a time. A direct hit will kill a fully overhealed heavy, but not one wielding the fists of steel and will instead do 270 damage. The weapon will stay true to it's nature in the sense that it is almost as dangerous to the user as it is to the target, so firing from the ground will always have you in the radiation zone no matter what way you aim it. Making it a medium ranged weapon when used on the ground. However, if you were to fire it from atop something fairly high of the ground or more, you can avoid the radiation damage.
Player will die instantly from any rocket jumping attempt with this weapon unless wearing protective gear like the gunboats, and even then, the fall damage will finish you off unless you are overhealed. The gunboats will leave you with 20 health left or more depending on how far you are from the blast and assuming you are at full health. Radiation, unlike fire does not follow you if you leave the source of it, so leaving the blast zone will stop the radiation damage. Radiation damag

A few months ago I was doing research on classic Disneyland, and there was a ton of footage of Frontierland being developed. It was really interesting to see how heavily Disney was marketing Frontierland as THE place to explore for fans of Davy Crockett (which was a huge thing with kids back in the 50's). So I wondered what the tv show was like, and I was only able to find bad bootleg rips of the tv show. I started watching it and I liked it a lot, but then I found out it would be coming to Disney+.
Well, the episodes are kind of combined into one big movie. There's some episode(s) missing, I'm not sure why. But holy moly, does the digital version of this movie look GORGEOUS on Disney+. It's kind of shocking how nice it looks, especially when you compare it to all the black and white footage of Disneyland on opening day. It's crazy to see how good film technology could have been before Disneyland even opened!
Anyway, just thought I'd drop a tip for y'all that are interested.
Just something I would say as well!
Three. A left ear. A right ear. And a wild frontier.
