A list of puns related to "The Art of War (Sabaton album)"
Album was teased on their Youtube via the premiere feature today.
So, Carolus Rex may have lost its place as my favorite Sabaton album. I've only heard The Great War once so far, but I absolutely love it. I enjoyed every song, with my favorites being A Ghost in the Trenches, The Attack of the Dead Men, Great War, and The Red Baron. I'd say Sabaton has never made a bad album, and arguably never even a bad song, and I'm so happy to say that this is still true.
Anyone heard this yet? It's fantastic power metal with accurate WW1 history.

Title says it all, more specifically on songs like The Future of Warfare, Seven Pillars of Wisdom and Ghost in the Trenches. Thanks guys!
FUCKING FINALLY!!!!!!! THE WAIT IS OVER BROTHERS!!! WHO THE FUCK SAID I NEEDED SLEEP JOAKIM CALLS TO ME TELLING STORIES OF BRAVERY WITH PAR AND INDY!!!!!
I listened to the history edition of the album first (as Joakim suggested in many interviews) , then I listened to the regular version of the album, then I listened to it a few more times, and then I listened to the soundtrack version. And this soundtrack really surprised me the most out of everything. It's such awesome orchestral compositions that still feel like Sabaton. I expected the regular album to be great, and it was as I expected, but I didn't expect to get such an awesome soundtrack version!
I really hope they from now on will create soundtracks like this with every new album in the future!
Mine in this order:
Carolus Rex (Swedish)
Attero Dominatus
Carolus Rex (English)
The Art of War
Heroes
The Great War
Primo Victoria
Coat of Arms
The last stand
Metalizer-.-
Whats yours?
Edit: Thanks to everyone who has replied thus far! It's fair to say I have enough to listen to for many hours to come. I will faithfully make my way through your recommendations, thanks again!
There would be enough battles to fill a whole album
The one themed after the ASAP Rocky War between Sweden and the USA
This must be my favourite album by them so far. It's great that they span they globe, looking for exemplary individuals on both sides of the war to honor in their songs and the new members have certainly passed the test as to whether they fit in such a specific style of band.
I've been re reading Thrawn last week and I had forgotten that every chapter starts with a little internal monologue of Thrawn, some of which reminded me of the intros to songs from Sabaton's album The Art of War which are taken from Sun Tsu's book.
That got me thinking, that an in universe book like that, written by Thrawn, would be something I'd be very interested in reading.
What do you guys think?
Intros, outros, and extra tracks/covers not counted
The Last Stand - 1/10 - 10%
Heroes - 10/10 - 100%
Carolus Rex - 0/10 - 0% (duh)
Coat of Arms - 8/10 - 80%
Art of War - 6/11 - 54.5%
Metalizer - I am not sure about this one sicne I haven't listened to the album extensively yet
Attero Dominatus - 3/9 - 33%
Primo Victoria - 3/9 - 33%
I really love the cover and I'd love to have it as a profile pic but preferably without the text on it
Iβm so glad I got into this band (which I absolutely fucking love btw) and Iβm so glad I got in when I did because I love how much they go into detail with the audience because idk how many bands go into why they chose cover art, that topic or even the story behind said topic like sabaton does. And Iβm glad I got in when I did because I get to see the songs come out when they come out. And sure it started out as a meme because when I started it started with for honor playlists and then it moved to βhey these songs are pretty goodβ to βFOR THE GRACE FOR THE MIGHT OF THE LORDβ. Also I love how the actual band members have personality. And to be entirely honest theyβre definitely one of the best bands Iβve listened to. At this point I listen to almost only sabaton. Thank you for listening to my crazed ramblings. Best of luck.
I'd like to know what you guys think. Seven Pillars of Wisdom is about the Lawrence of Arabia I think.
Attack of the Dead Men is obviously about the Defense of the Osowiec Fortress.
82nd all the Way is most likely the American division.
Red Baron and Fields of Verdun is obvious.
Devil Dogs is about USMC.
Great War and The End of the War to End all Wars is most likely about the war in general.
I'm unsure about The Future of Warfare and The Ghost in the Trenches.
If this is it then I'll be quite sad as we'd probably not get a song about Battle of Tannenberg,Brusilov Offensive or the Czech Legion.
Okay, so in history in school, I'm currently learning about the Cold War. And I thought to myself "There's more than enough here to make a Sabaton album with" and there really is. Just some ideas for song topics I had included...
The beginning of the Cold War / End of WW2 The Berlin Crises / Airlift The Hungarian Uprising The Bay Of Pigs Incident AND Fidel Castro's government takeover The Korean War and The Vietnam War ( They were both US efforts to "contain" communism I'm sure everyone else here could find more song topics aswell, but then at the end of the album, have a song about the end of the Cold War and The dissolution of The Soviet Union, and have the song bear some similarities or be a similar style to Rise Of Evil
Seriously, anyone else think this is a good idea?
Personally, I would like to see:
The Betrayal at Istvaan III
The final battle between the Traitors and the Emperor at Terra
The Burning of Prospero, maybe a bit with Magnus ruining everything
The Fall of Cadia
A Waaagh! for the Orcs
I can't figure out which is my favorite song, since it changes so much. However, I say my favorite album from Sabaton is The Great War.
