A list of puns related to "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert"
I just finished a three-week itinerary to Jordan, Turkey (Kapadokya region) and Greece.
Not going to lie, I became bored at times in Turkey and Greece. Yes, the photos I took were nice, the places were quite scenic, but the tourist-centric vibes of the "towns" were a bit much for me.
I think I was so surprised at the fact that in Kapadokya I hiked the valleys on two separate days, exploring all of the fairy chimneys and rock formations, but I only came across like five other hikers the entire two days. So much natural beauty that everyone is missing out on. Don't get me wrong, I treasured all of the views that I had to myself! But I was a little sad that the beauty of the region seems forgotten by everyone in lieu of the balloons.
But Jordan! Jordan was spectacular on every level. Such a small footprint of a country with so much to do - so much adventure! One day you're in the desert, the next day you're exploring ruins, and within a few hours' drive you're swimming with fish in the Red Sea! The river canyon trek (Wadi Mujib) is not to be missed, I think it's the coolest thing I've ever done in my life. What cemented the experience was that the quality of the other travelers I met was also wonderful, too - everyone was basically there to explore, adventure, and get out of their comfort zone.
So reddit, what other destinations are like this? I'm energized and I want to get moving again!
EDIT: WOW the response to this thread is amazing! I love meeting other adventurous travellers and I hope to run into you guys in this life.
I'm sorry this is all I can remember... but I have a clear image of the man standing in his apartment bedroom with a mirror (room color scheme was like dark blues and blacks), which was the portal to a fantasy world. It was definitely on PC. I played it in the early 90s as a tiny kid but it might have been older than that, my dad was a big computer game nerd and showed me a lot of different games. Thanks for your help!!
All I can really remember of the plot is that there is a teenage girl (think she is maybe blonde and her name starts with a Z but not sure on this), who has a kind of robot companion (with wheels?), set in the distant future - kind of post-apocalyptic - and she has a torn up piece of a book cover that has some seemingly random words/ letters on it but she finds out at some point that it's The Wizard of Oz. I also seem to remember there being a library that is destroyed - I think this is what sets her on her quest. They travel through a sandy desert at one point. I read this book in 2012/13, I think it was most likely published between 2010-2013. I can't remember if it was strictly a graphic novel but it had a wealth of illustrations, and there was a website you could go on that was linked to the book, where some of these illustrations would be animated.

I'm coming from overseas and planning on stopping in Bryce Canyon and Valley of the Gods. Got a RV, hoping some people on here can guide me to a good location
Got bored one day so why the hell not? Some of fictionβs βbestβ parents with good track records of children try to raise the normal anime character. Who manages to raise him well, no powers.
In Hoard of the Dragon Queen players are meant to be carried from Levels 1 through 4. The next book The Rise of Tiamat, is supposed to pick up immediately after the events of the first module. However the introduction to this module also states that it's intended for players starting around level 8. If this book is meant to immediately follow the first module, chronologically speaking, where do the players get to jump an extra four levels? Am I missing something? Or am I meant to include an adventure in between?
EDIT: I appreciate all the extra answers but my problem has already been solved below! Apparently I was using the PDF for the encounters and not the actual adventure module, a simple mistake I'm sure but an embarrassing one! Thank you everyone.
The race in question is the Mineralites
