A list of puns related to "Testing Anywhere"
title says it all
Iβve had two home tests come back with faint positives and I need to get an in-person test per the recommendation of the health department, but through their portal I canβt find any appointments any sooner than January 4. Iβve even checked places up to 38 miles away and nothing is available. Any recommendations on legitimate testing places?
UPDATE: Thanks so much for everyoneβs responses. I found a COVID clinic at 87th and Keystone and their website said that they accept walk ups, so we loaded up the fam and drove there, waited in line for nearly two hours to finally be told that their website was down and that they couldnβt test us today. We have appointments scheduled for tomorrow.
The home test kits we used were the free ones offered by the health department. I ordered them a couple of months ago when they announced their availability. Unfortunately they donβt seem to be available anywhere now and my exposed friends and family couldnβt find any for purchase anywhere nearby.
As of now we are going forth with the assumption that at least one of us is definitely positive. Quarantining the entire family for minimum of ten days.
Thanks again for everyoneβs replies. Stay safe out there and get vaccinated. Fortunately we are all vaccinated, so it should hopefully be quick and no big deal.
I'm sorry if this post is inappropriate for this sub.
I am a recent 3D art graduate with some coding and testing knowledge. I have taken two manual software testing courses on Udemy and Skillshare so far. From what they have both said, software testing isn't that hard (at least for manual testing), and is a great starting point for an IT or developer career. All of the "skills" these courses taught me were like, 96 percent terminology. So I go and look at jobs to apply to and they are all extremely far beyond me. Years of experience required. Expert level testing and/or automation skills required. I don't have experience in this field. My career advisor just tells me to look for jobs and apply to them; that they'll teach me what I need to know. Weird that they would teach me but ask for 2 years of experience testing.
The most recent course I took advised against learning automation until you have become a great manual tester through working as a manual tester. Is this good advice? I have no idea.
So I'm at a loss. I've never had a career before and this particular one fits my personality and mindset very well the more I learn about it and the more I practice it. I legitimately think I would be good at it, but I have no idea how I'm supposed to even get into an entry level position when the requirements are so far beyond me. They are jobs I cannot apply to. Is there any advice anyone would be willing to offer for me?
Again, very sorry if this is inappropriate for this sub, I just don't know where else I could ask this.
This infrastructure is so shitty lmao if anyone has any ideas about the above please let me know. I work bank hours and literally cannot get anywhere by 5pm.
Got a kid who started having a fever, sore throat, and cough today. Went to two Walgreens and a CVS - all out. Nothing else seems open on Christmas Day
Iβve been sick lately and have no idea how anyone is able to find a test. All the cvs and walgreen options are completely booked. I was told that I would have to pay for a doctors visit if I go to urgent care. Does anyone know I can find free Covid testing soon?
I am probably out of luck at least for the next week. It seems everywhere I call or look for either a drive-thru Covid test or at home kit nothing is available until at least Jan 2nd. Has anyone recently seen anywhere taking either scheduled tests or at home kits?
Mods, you can take this down if it's a repeat question. Just got back in town and wondered if there were no appointment wait in line drive up testing locations in the area? There were several back in my hometown over holidays that were first come first serve, but my googling hasn't found any around here. Anyone know anything? Thanks!
iβve called a million places and itβs either straight to voicemail or the results arenβt rapid. iβve been exposed directly and really need to get tested.
Urgently need to get tested. Turns out a family friend had their little boy test positive after they had visited us last week. Now need to get me and my wife as well as our one year old daughter tested.
Any locations to pick up a test or get tested this morning?
UPDATE: In a relatively short line(20 people) at the Urgent Care on St. Claude after driving around multiple locations with no luck.
Not trying to cause FUD, just need some eyes over here. Just to verify there wouldnΒ΄t be any problems with the site or my account during MOASS, I put a sell order for 999,999$, given the system limit of 1 million they have (itΒ΄s supposed to sell at market price if higher). I received the confirmation email https://i.imgur.com/2UCkqqC.png
And here is the Investor Center message https://i.imgur.com/KGuIK9S.png
However, when I click on the Pending Transactions as it says there, nothing can be seen there. https://i.imgur.com/wTwD04f.png
Where is my limit order? How can I edit it/cancel it?
Or anywhere that might be open and selling at-home rapids?
also willing to pay if anyone has extras
Hey folks! Does anyone know when GoHealth Urgent Care reservations open up? I'm asking because went to Greenvale earlier today (was a shitshow), and the people on the phone and in-person say "I don't know" when it opens up (it opens up 2 days before, but not sure what time they do). It seems like GoHealth Urgent Care isn't offering walk-in appointments anymore.
Lots of people are scrambling to find tests, figure someone here might know when these reservations open up or where it's easier to make appointments.
In the summer, there was loads of selbstests in kaufland and dm, now I canβt see any.
Does anybody know anywhere still selling them?
A family member is driving up for the Clemson game tonight, but not getting into NY until about 3 pm, to Syracuse about 5 pm. Where can they get a 15-minute antigen test to be allowed into the stadium?
It seems nothing available at: CVS, Walgreens, Price Chopper, Wegmans, Kinneys. Am I missing something?
Hi all. First let me start off by saying I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place but I NEED ANSWERS! Over the last few days I was having one or two COVID symptoms that I thought were allergies. Now I have the whole kit and caboodle of systems and I feel like ass. I have work in the morning and I would like to know ASAP if I have COVID or not.
Does anyone know of a 24hr "emergency" testing site that isn't an ER? Let me know! Thank you!
(PS- I work in healthcare so I am willingly exposed to it every day. I did not go to a bar downtown or something over the weekend maskless.)
UPDATE: I went to CVS and got the self testing kit (thank you to all who suggested it, I forgot they existed). It tested negative but I am still going to a testing site tomorrow morning to get tested again just in case. To answer all the questions- yes, I am fully vaxxed. I got my 2nd dose early June. Let's hope for the best!
Iβm not referring to CVS or Walgreens, but Miller Park?
How long is it taking to get results?
Thank you!
this in insane
I haven't been able to find anything from companies I recognize. There are websites like https://rapidtestandtrace.ca/ but some of their products seem to be approved by Health Canada and some of them aren't, so I wasn't really confident about ordering from them.
I'd like to have a few on hand for if me and my kid get sick, we can do a quick check to see if scheduling a PCR or isolating is appropriate.
Been calling and driving around town all morning and I canβt find anyone in town who offers rapid testing for kids under 8. Anyone have any recommendations?
Walgreen's doesn't do it anymore (although they advertise) and I've had to resort to a full office visit.
