I attended a Plan to win party last night. They urged people to sign up for phone banking shifts and said their goal is to reach one million people in ten days.

This developed into a battle between Sam and Ed, with Ed earning enough to have a chance at winning the $100,000. Going into FJ it was Ed with $15,400 vs. Sam at $13,600. Alisa finished in the red at -$1,800, so she would end in third place and receive $25,000.
DD2 - $1,600 - LATIN MOTTOES & PHRASES - The motto of Johns Hopkins University, "Veritas vos libirabit", translates to this familiar phrase (Sam won $2,000 from his score of $8,800 vs. $6,400 for Ed.)

Only Sam was correct on FJ, adding $2,000 to finish at $15,600 for a two-day total of $35,600. Sam takes home the top prize money along with an invite to the Tournament of Champions. Ed dropped $13,700 to end with $1,700 for a two-day score of $6,300, good for the $50,000 second-place award.

Mayim's Musings: Coming out of the second break, Mayim offered a statement of thanks to the "tremendously inspirational" group of professors. Also, at the end of BEFORE & AFTER, she declared the category "awesome".

- Jennifer Quail, who earned $14,500 yesterday; and
- Veronica Vichit-Vadakan, who carries over $6,400 from game one.
Jennifer had a great chance to make a big move on DD2 with $10,400 to wager, but chose to bet $2,200 and was correct. Sam then found DD3 and regained the lead in the game, carrying the edge into FJ with $20,400 vs. $19,000 for Jennifer and $9,200 for Veronica.

Only Jennifer was correct on FJ. With the match in hand, Sam bet only $12 and with a two-game total of $58,388, took the title and the $250K grand prize. Jennifer finished the two games at $42,000, good for $100,000, while Veronica's match score of $15,600 earned her $50,000.
