Tempur Sealy prices about to increase

Just a warning to anyone considering a tempurpedic, Stearns and foster, or sealy product... Will be going up on the 12th if I remember correctly. It seems to be about $100.

Sealy Silver Chill Hybrid Firm vs Tempur-Adapt Medium Hybrid?

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I are looking for a new mattress and we loved the Sealy Silver Chill Hybrid Firm in stores but I'm not hearing the best things about it from this sub and one alternative that I've seen is the Tempur-Adapt Medium Hybrid. No Mattress Firms carry this in stores so we have to find a TempurPedic Flagship store to try it out soon but I'm curious on everyone's thoughts about these two mattresses! For reference I'm about 5'11" and 235lbs and a stomach/side sleeper. My girl is about 5'5" about 165 lbs and a strict side sleeper.

Returning a Sealy Silver chill firm for a tempur-pedic after 3 weeks....ripping my hair out here

Hello, I know there are a bunch of posts like this here and i apologize for creating another, but after reading the FAQ and doing additional research I still feel at a loss. I've had a silver chill firm for 3 weeks and everyday I've woken up with a sore lower back/hips (I guess my hips are sinking in too much and the mattress isn't firm enough despite being the firmest hybrid from the store.) I can even feel it's not firm enough compared to my last mattress but I didn't notice until after the break in period. I am 5'11 and 170 lbs for reference, I tend to be a combo sleeper with a bias towards sleeping on my back.

This was the same reason why I bought a new mattress in the first place. My last mattress, the Camellia XII by furniture of america, was a dream but it was worn out from use after 10 years and it was sold as a new home package mattress, I'm having trouble finding a queen size separate. My options are the tempur-pedic proadapt medium or the firm, hybrids don't seem to be for me. Has anyone gone through something similar? I'd appreciate any advice.

Lawsuit filed last year alleges that Tempur Sealy, Serta Simmons, Brooklyn Bedding, and others colluded in anticompetitive practices....

Sorry if this was already talked about, but a lawsuit has been filed by a major bed-in-box manufacturer alleging that because the "major" mattress companies were late to the bed-in-box market, they responded by colluding to file false antidumping claims against the plaintiff's suppliers in order to deny plaintiff access to the components needed to compete in the market.....

Edit: Just to be clear, there are findings by the US Dept of Commerce both in the past and currently pending that certain countries were/are dumping mattresses (whole or in part) onto the US market. Presumably, investigations related to these findings are the subject of the complaint by CVB Inc.

https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/consumer-products/a-new-lawsuit-accuses-a-group-of-mattress-companies-of-violating-antitrust-laws/

A lawsuit filed Wednesday in federal court accuses several mattress companies of violating federal and state antitrust laws by making false and defamatory statements to government agencies and to the public.

Plaintiff CVB Inc., based in Utah where the complaint was filed, is a mattress supplier with a large inventory for customers ordering a mattress in a box, according to the lawsuit.

CVB is suing Corsicana Mattress Co., Elite Comfort Solutions Inc., Future Foam Inc., FXI Holdings Inc., Leggett & Platt Inc., Serta Simmons Bedding LLC, Tempur Sealy International Inc., and Brooklyn Bedding Inc., claiming they conspired to restrain trade and monopolize the mattress market.

β€œDefendants’ false, defamatory, and misleading statements have harmed competition and their rivals, have thwarted innovation, and have permitted Defendants to maintain supracompetitive prices for mattresses sold in the United States,” the lawsuit says.

According to CVB, the defendants β€œdominate and control” the markets for mattresses, including flat-pack mattresses and mattress in a box products.

Defendants Serta Simmons, Tempur Sealy, and Corsicana together sell over 70% of the mattresses made in the U.S., the complaint states. All defendants’ sales amount to over 70% of U.S. flat-pack mattress sales.

CVB sells its mattress in a box products to ecommerce retailers, such as Amazon and Wayfair, and to big-box stores such as Walmart and Target, the complaint says.

According to CVB’s lawsuit, the defendant

If you were getting a free mattress as a gift (under 10k) what would you choose and why? Within 15 years I’ve tried sealy, Serta, and now tempur for 6 years. Can’t find one I’m in love with.

Tempur-pedic; Sterns & Foster; Sealys; or Other

Looking for our first new mattress, but even more lost after doing so much research. We’ll go try beds at the store but after reading about mattress, my sense is nothing will feel the same at home and every mattress will start deforming or sinking in 2-3 years LOL.

Recommendations for a: King; side, mountain climber, and back sleepers. One runs warmer than the other. One likes it as β€œsoft” as possible, and the other likes it plush but not too plush. Open to hybrid or all foam. Under $1300. Just want something that will last as long as possible.

Asking about the TempurSealys family since we would get 75% off but if none are good we would consider other brands. Any recommendations, suggestions, absolutely avoid appreciated. TIA!
