Just the other day I got a song stuck in my head that I have heard before, while I have no way of creating a "example" of it, I do have a few words in my head that someone MIGHT recognize. If not, well damn. I can also be WAY off with what they actually sing, but hey, its something.
As I mentioned genre earlier, let me first say that I'd call it a House/Disco/Dance song. As for the lyrics I remember, I'd say they went along the lines of
"I just want you to take me home tonight and I will show you 'round Dubai" - But much else I unfortunately do not remember. IF anyone happens to know of a song that might have these kind of lyrics and is in this genre, please do let me know!
Just watched it for the second time since it came out in 2011, and it was so much better than I remember it! The story itself was decently predictable, yet really good in what it had the characters do. The jokes were overall decent, but what really set it apart is that so much happened in the span of a short amount time that it made me feel like I was there in that one night. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a laid back feel-good comedy, and a great coming-of-age movie!
I recently discovered this sub and thought I’d share a story that make cause a little laughs.
So a little backstory, a couple years ago maybe around 2011-2012ish I met someone through a friend. Let’s call him Tony. Tony was a friend of the girl my friend was dating. We met briefly and I was later told that Tony had a little thing for me. My friend asked if I wanted to get to know him more. I was single and not really doing much so sure why not. We hung out a couple of times and it wasn’t really bad. He was someone new for me to get to know. Now we hung out, but it was never really a one-on-one. His friends were always around hanging out with us which I had no problem with at all. His friends were pretty cool and all seemed to enjoy my company. But because we never really had a “real” date I didn’t get to know him that much. We had kissed a few times, but that was it.
So the night in question. Tony, my ex who I’ll call TJ, and I were hanging out one night. TJ and I were really good friends, we just didn’t work out dating wise. So the three of us went to one of Tony’s friends place to hang out. There was a bunch of us sitting in a circle with tony sitting next to me and TJ sitting next to him. The night was fun. Blunts being passed around, a bottle of jack traveled around as well. Pretty chill night.
At some point in the night tony asks me if I’d like to go to his place and “watch a movie”. Now I’m sure a movie would happen but come on, we all know what Netflix and Chill means. We never even had a real date, I was not going to go to this guys house by myself. I didn’t want to get into the uncomfortable “no I don’t want to have sex with you” conversation that I felt was gonna happen. The conversation went as follows
Tony-“so you wanna come to my place and watch a movie?”
Me, knowing exactly what that is intending- “uhh no thanks man I’m kinda tired from working today”
Tony, kinda trying to be cute?- “come on just come over”
Me- “no it’s a little late besides I have to bring TJ home I’m his ride” That wasn’t a lie I had drove us to meet up with Tony and then we took Tony’s car to his friends place.
Tony- “oh I don’t mind driving him home and we can just get your car on the way back”
Of course you don’t.
He preceded to ask me a couple more times if I wanted to go back to his place to watch a movie even though I kept saying I didn’t really want to as politely as I possibly could. TJ is listening to this conversation just laughing to himself at To

I keep seeing the common misconception that "Take Me Home, Country Roads", a song released in 1971, is the most recent song to be released that is featured in a Fallout game. However, "In the Shadow of the Valley" (a song featured on New Vegas's Mojave Music Radio and Black Mountain Radio) was released in 1998, actually making it the most recent song to be released to my knowledge. Furthermore, a number of songs featured in Fallout games are actually ones that, while being from around the turn of the century, are edited versions from as recently as the 2000's.
I am personally in favor of Fallout games occasionally venturing out a bit and featuring some more recent songs as long as they are lore friendly (i.e., more recent folksy tunes would be fine while modern day pop would not). What do you all think?

Title. Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver is one of the most annoying songs I’ve ever heard, IMO. I honestly don’t know what it is about that song that bugs me as much as it does, but I can’t stand it. Everyone around me loves it, which makes it even worse. I feel like I’m the only one who thinks this, so I thought I might as well post it here!
I grew up visiting my grandpa's home in West Virginia. I miss walking through the woods and going hunting with him.
Playing this game and hearing his song has been a nice reminder of our good times.
