Hello my fellow plexling's. I'm working on an app that extends the rather lacklustre Android TV channel support for Plex. I'm looking to gather feedback, take feature suggestions, as well as gauge general interest. Ideally, it would be amazing if I could find 5 or so people to help test the work that's been done so far.

Edit: To be clear, this will only work with regular android tv devices. The chromecast w/ google tv doesn't have open apis to use as of this time.
Here's the feature list more or less
- Add's New Movies, New TV, On Deck, and recommendations (more on this below) channels to the home screen
- Dynamic "recommendation" channels. These are channels like "Top movies by Peter Jackson", "More in Comedy" etc... These are dynamic in the sense that they will change every day. They are not ads and only show content from your library.
- Syncs On Deck items and progress with the Play Next row (kind of makes the separate on deck channel redundant, but I left the choice to see if people prefer one over the other, or both)
- Full metadata support - shows images, titles, descriptions, episode counts, review ratings, content ratings.
- Movie and TV trailers (experimental for now)
- Extra landscape art from TMDB
- Customize channel / app label / app icon (experimental for now)

Thanks for your time! As a final note, I'd like to get an idea of how much people feel an app like this would be worth to them. I created a Google form to collect any opinions.
Personally, my thoughts are on releasing, let's say, a 14 day trial, after which the app might be in a "view only" mode where the channels still show on the home screen, but clicking an item won't actually open Plex. A small one time fee would unlock any gated features. This will help ensure future development, features requests, or changes required as Plex updates their API over time. Sorry if this is a little forward! But these things take time to develop and even more time to maintain, so I wanted to be clear about this up front.

It would be called Kermit Channel, and it will be a joint venture between Disney, Sesame Workshop, and The Jim Henson Company. It would show every Muppet production ever, including Henson Alternative productions. It would have three programming blocks; Kermit Jr. (for ages 0-8), Kermit Kids (for ages 8-14), and Kermit After Dark (ages 18 and up). It would have marathons for different holidays.

For months now I have been trying to figure out why some games perform quite well on this laptop and others abysmally.
Initially I landed at this post but the actual cause wasn't clear. Additionally if I forced tsc on, none of my games worked as the implementation is broken on the legion 5. The games would crash shortly after and potentially complain about negative time deltas
However yesterday I managed to find a game that actually launches with tsc on and the difference is quite large.
The Witness HPET vs TSC
TSC - 85 FPS
HPET - 27 FPS
It seems when HPET is on the main thread of the game will spam a certain system call to do with time and that kills performance. HPET is known to be much slower than TSC so this would make sense
To see your current clocksource type this command into your terminal
cat /sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource*/current_clocksource
I think if we had a known list of TSC capable hardware that would be good and also a list of hardware that defaults to HPET that should be avoided.

I would encourage those with HPET hardware to benchmark these games or the ones they have and see if the performance matches up with what they would expect of their hardware.
PS. The effect seems to be less pronounced in UE4 DX12 games but I'm not sure why that is
Saw a brief commercial for it on KITV4 5PM news, it seems like KIKU will be back in action on the 31st of this month :) The programming they mentioned was "Onihei Hankacho" I think (pretty sure that was it) and had a listing of channels it would be available on, Spectrum cable was listed as 1009, so their same channel from before.
Doesn't seem like their website or Facebook pages have been updated, maybe some time this week. Very excited about KIKU coming back!
