I'm on chapter 5 of Zizek's how to read Lacan, and I find it rather confusing.
Let's say you've always desired a promotion, but doing so will cause you to abandon your friends and family. So you take that the promotion, but you still feel guilt.
Sure, you know you've made the best decision because you've always desired the promotion. But there's your super ego beating you down with guilt despite you giving into your desire.
Basically, here, the symbolic Ego is punished for giving into desires. But Lacan states that the guilt is felt only when one does not give into their desires.
Could someone explain to me how the id, ego, desire and super ego work so that this question is clarified?
Why did they add a bunch of super imposed stuff to the space needle celebration? If much prefer to just watch the actual fireworks. The extra computerized stuff just ruins it.

I know how to do nested tracks, but I am not couth enough to know if videos can have an alpha channel. Maybe I could "green screen" it for one certain color to simulate an alpha channel. I don't know how Olive Editor goes about this.

And
Super impose another Mortal Kombat character dancing.
After that, swap out that character with super imposed skeleton falling like MK1's fatality.

Hello I am a new apprentice and my employer is looking for a simple program (free or cheap) to make passing information and photos in a more effective way.
Currently we use MS paint and just super impose text on the photo- it is pretty rudimentary and inefficient as we often have follow up questions/confirmations.
Ie. identifying dents / defects on a panel. Sending a photo with details including size, location, shape, misc info about each dent within the panel.
Sorry if I am being obtuse and thanks for any input!
