Could be the same sort of model used for Hudson Yards on the far-west side, and would buy the company and Bezos some much needed good-will, rather than displacing thousands of low income residents.

I know many of us don't consider Queens as part of Long Island, but I've been thinking about the East side access project lately and wondering if there's any way to make it more financially viable. For reference, the ESA is hoping to connect grand central station to Jamaica within the next 5-10 years.
I know that Amazon is looking to launch a sister headquarters in a major city, so my thought is that maybe the ESA project would make more sense if a big company was able to develop on top of the line. I know there aren't many skyscrapers in that area, but having an Amazon or equivalent tower would be pretty cool. Super convenient for commuters too. As a side question: can anyone think of another place Amazon could develop if they decided on NY?
