I worked on a number of Power BI visual reports with the intent to have reports automatically sent out on a regular basis. I hopped on Power Automate and created a flow only to realize that it requires Premium for Power Automate to work. The price tag to move up was at least $5,000 a month plus $20/user which we've all agreed doesn't justify the cost.

I need to figure out a free or low-cost solution that'll allow us to:

• Pull data from SQL
• Transform / calculate new fields
• Present data visually
• Automate e-mailing reports

I could use SSRS which is free and can send e-mails automatically. But unsure if its visuals are up to par. What about Qlik @ $30 a month? Zoho Analytics? Excel?

I’ve been living in NYC for a year and it’s been hard to meet people. Hopefully, this will help me to make new friends! (29, Korean, male)

I don’t know how many people are struggling to find a job or grow from their current situation. However, I wanted to extend help! I’ve already been teaching a few coworkers and ex-coworkers SQL!

If anyone is interested, I’d be more than happy to teach you! However, I would only teach in-person as I a very poor teacher virtually.

I’ve worked at Airbnb and Microsoft, and so, I can personally share how SQL is used in big tech.

Over the last year whenever I order something online from a small business I make sure to write "write a dad joke on the invoice" in the memo section at checkout.

I've gotten some lame ones like what did the ghost say to the bees? Boo-bees

I've gotten some good ones, even had a gun store give me the shatner panties joke

But today's just hit peak dad joke status....

They included my invoice sheet and a separate sheet of printer paper with nothing on it but the words "a dad joke" in like 200 size font.

It's short, sweet, super corny and makes you facepalm, but still had me laughing out loud for about five minutes.

This sub seems to have both DEs and SWEs. Could I get some guidance on how and from where I should learn SQL and Python to become a skilled and competent engineer?

Edit: I forgot to mention this. Most tutorials and courses seem to focus on the querying part of SQL. Where and how do I learn to design, structure and create Data and databases?
