A list of puns related to "Strap footing"
So I'm thinking about buying a Propel Endeavor Pro as it checks a lot of boxes for me. But one thing I was thinking I would like to do is get a bit more of a locked in feeling for trail riding and possibly mountain bike courses. Without having a kicktail there really isn't anyway to truly lock in (Ollie, manual, etc) so all jumps and drops would be straight sends.
So my thought is to pick up some foot straps from trampa (maybe with accompanying heel straps) and mount them to the board. Has anyone done this? What's the clearance in the battery pack? Is this a ridiculous notion?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I scrolled back a couple of months and tried a site search on Google. Other relevant information: live in the US and car is a lease.
Also, might be useful for camping as the tent only fits in the foot-well of the back seats which annoys the kids. Cheers.
This is my first season windsurfing, I'm 160lb, 6.2, I was recommended to start with the bic techno 293 and a 5.8 sail so that's what I have currently. I feel like I've been making good progress, I'm pretty comfortable planing now, however I am having an odd issue that is starting to make me suspect I'm doing something wrong or am having gear related issues or setup issues.
Basically, I can get in the aft foot strap, but not the front. My understanding is that the front foot should be in first, but I can't make it happen. Basically what I'm feeling is that for any speed that could allow the front foot to be in that position first, my rear foot would need to be so close to the front as to make balance a major issue. I can get my back foot in, but the front foot needs to be well forward of the strap to prevent the board from stalling.
I've assumed I'm just inexperienced, and while that's true, by reference to other much more advanced windsurfers here I'm confident that I'm at least achieving comparable speeds, and yet the weight distribution having the front foot there just doesn't seem possible at anything less than very high speed.
The bic techno 293 has 3 mast positions, I had started with the mast in the aft position when trying to get to planing speed, but didn't have much luck, it was more difficult to keep the board from stalling as I transition aftwards. After watching some videos I was seeing some people planning in the middle position or even in the front. So I tried the middle position and have had a great deal more success. My boom is roughly eye level, and I use 32 in adjustable lines, which I am using almost all of.
My rear strap is in the chicken strap position, the front strap is on the inner forward position, I do not have a strap on the side middle position.
Apparently the 293 is used in a youth racing class, and basically all the videos I see of this board are kids, which makes me think that perhaps I'm just too heavy for it to be used correctly.
Any thoughts? Thanks
Does anyone know how to change these out? I broke one on my machine and at cursory glance, can't see how to detach.
TIA!
Have been curious about this for awhile. I have an ecomobl m24, which came with foot straps but, they are not installed. What are the benefits/ negatives about installing them? If I installed them, is there a general placement template for where they should go?
So Iβve bought some sandals from a European manufacturer, still waiting for delivery, little bit worried though Iβve done messed up. Iβve been thinking about the toe post on these sandals and worried theyβll interfere with my activities. Like when you land on the ground after jumping a ditch or something, surely theyβll rip into your foot as your foot slides on the sandal, I also skid my feet every so often and worried thatβll have the same effect. Would across foot strap be better Any expirence? Thanks
I'm in Santa Cruz in CA and selling my Micro (model #5 on the website); it includes the base unit, front and back platforms and handlebars. I'm also including the foot strap and bungee as well.
Additional Details:
The package with the bungee and strap retails for $1,630 before taxes and shipping. It's very gently used and actually looks brand new since I've barely been able to use it due to my erratic schedule. There's been a 4-8 week lead time when you order from the website, so this is a great way to start your fitness journey asap...and not to mention a great bargain as well. I have additional pics for anyone interested.
