This isn’t meant to be hate, I genuinely wanna know. When I first found stranger things, I binged the first 3 seasons extremely fast which is something I don’t normally do. I was obsessed with it. As time has gone on, I find myself having forgotten half the plot and not even paying attention to season 4. Everyone else I know who equally loved the show are just treating it as “I’ll probably see it eventually” as opposed to “I can’t freaking wait!” I almost feel like its had trouble staying relevant, in a way where other shows haven’t?
It feels like not only has too much time passed, but I guess I’m also realizing that I don’t want to have to wait this long every time a season of the show ends. Part of the appeal was watching these young kids navigate through ridiculous scenarios, but it isn’t even like that anymore? They’re now just young adults who’s social media presence I’m extremely aware of… if that makes sense.
So I want to know if anyone out there is still getting hyped for season 4, or if you’re just pretty meh about the whole thing. It would interest me to know.

Ladies and gentlemen, those questions of yours will be answered as we move ahead with this post, but for now, I present to you what is essentially the main part of this post. But before we begin, I'd like to share with you that this stuff is divided in two parts:

MY THOUGHTS - I :-
- >!As a whole, I see no reason for them to shave her head. Maybe it has something to do with, what one might call, character development, but what I call, 5 years IRL and 3 years in-universe time of amazing (lool) hair [which, for a fact, are/have (IDK what to call) bangs now] being wasted for unanswerable causes. Basically, I don't see how, as per few people's thoughts I've read online, shaving El's head again would develop her more as a character, when that would clearly trigger her more, hence leading her to uncover her traumatic past from the lab, either way.!<

Hi all, Dutycycle here. I mentioned back in the 004 teaser breakdown post about the interesting shots seen featuring the door in the desert and the tubular tunnels where the soldiers were having a shootout… we are ready to share some info on this. Without getting into details on the how (just assume some of us saw something we weren’t supposed to, but by no fault of ours) the secret behind the door in the desert is actually known to some of us.
In fact, at first we did not even understand what we were looking at (we thought it was the Russian facility) but after some research we were able to figure out just what it was we were seeing. That was a secret we were planning on keeping until… well, until release day. But, to our surprise they dropped the breadcrumbs in teaser 004, so… now we feel ok to reveal a few things...
Just on the face of it, looking at the door in the desert, many folks will deduce on their own that it is the entrance to a secret base. You are correct to assume that. And if that confirmation is all that you need without any further details or possible spoilers, then you should stop reading here. There is an underground base in the desert. Cool. Below are some details/spoilers about what is behind the door.
>!So, this underground base is a former US missile silo.. maybe a retired Titan or Atlas silo (or hybrid of the two as from what we’ve seen they share different design bits…. The topside door belongs to an Atlas F silo complex (thanks MightyFluff) and the lower base, which we’ve seen in detail, looks like a Titan I or II. It was a total accident how I put this together as the interior has distinct wall tiles and by chance I was reading a recent news article at the time about nuclear proliferation treaties, and the stock photo used had the identical tiles and flooring… I was bowled over. Even prior to that revelation, I had already figured they were in an underground facility and recalled the VSF movie The Cell, where the bad guy has a secret underground torture-chamber hidden on a farm beneath… a grain silo. So having gone from grain silo to missile silo was pretty jaw dropping. Of course, with the 004 footage out it all seems very obvious now.!<

Maybe they didn't because the episodes are odd. If they had been 8 episodes maybe they would have released 4 episodes and the other 4 a few months later, but they are 9. Instead of releasing all 9 episodes in the summer, an exaggeratedly distant period (3 years essentially exact from the third season) in my opinion it was better reduce the wait by breaking the season in two, at this point maybe first 5 episodes and then the last 4 three months later, as Money Heist (La casa de papel) did with Part 5
Based on all the clues that season 4 is going to be messier, darker, gory, and scarier, I’m having a feeling that the rating will be changed for Mature audiences now. Maybe there will be more f-bombs now than before. What do you think about season 4 being TV-MA? Do you think it will raise the stakes?
If I’m being honest, I’m split down the middle? I’m hoping this season will be better but season 3 already relied too much on the comedic aspect for my taste… and the amount of time it’s taking them to release s4 has also kind of bugged me. I’m actually kind of expecting at this point that it just won’t live up to expectations.
The teaser was giving a completely different vibe, and not a good one. The 4th season will simply not be good. And they are making people wait too long - summer 2022 j to see Jonathan Byers smoking pot?
