I am a new traveler and this is my first flight with Silver/SkyTeam Elite with a Business Class Fare. I am traveling from PRG to CDG on AirFrance with 1 checked bag. I will be waiting many hours at the airport for my friend to arrive and I don't know if I... 1) Have access to the Delta/AirFrance Lounge at CDG once I arrive. 2) I have to exit the secured area to pick up my checked bag at the baggage claim then re-enter going through security again to access the lounge.
Does anyone have any knowledge on accessing the lounge at the arrival airport (rather than the departing)? And if my ticket/status will allow me?

I currently have Platinum status, which as far as I understand means I have SkyTeam Elite Plus status. I will be connecting through AMS with a companion soon and I want to make sure we have access to the KLM Lounge there. The KLM site says Elite Plus members and 1 guest have free access. Is there anything I need to do to ensuremy Elite Plus status is reflected when they scan my boarding pass at the lounge or would I just need to show my platinum medalion “card” along with my boarding pass? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
According to the SkyTeams site, KLM and Delta share miles. Yes? Can I book a flight with Delta using Flying Blue miles?

Anyone know if ITA (Italy’s “new” airline replacing Alitalia) will also be part of SkyTeam? I used to fly Alitalia a lot and I’d like to still be able to get Delta points when I fly to and within Italy.
Just decided to look at hotel prices in the Maldives for fun and dang, they are low right now. Bungalows over the water that are usually $700 a night are around $150-200. Usual "budget" hotels that are normally $150 a night are now $35. It's low enough that we're looking at flights for 3-5 weeks from now for a little getaway. However, MLE, and that area in general, seems to be quite underserved by skyteam partners. We're trying to fly from Central Europe and it seems the only options we're getting are KLM/AF connecting to an Etihad flight, which isn't a skyteam partner. Literally no other options. I haven't tried going through a travel agent and trying to piece it together yet, but that may be the next attempt.
Anyone out there with experience originating from the EU going to MLE with a partner that would earn MQMs?
Air France/KLM used to have the best website for finding SkyTeam award space and now it's nearly impossible.
Whenever I do a search now, it shows the page loading and immediately returns to the search, saying there was nothing available.
Previously, it would show an entire month of available flights.
Really makes things difficult.
