A list of puns related to "Skeet Shoot"
Yeah itβs difficult, but if I were to hand load 3β shells heavier wouldnβt it even the playing field a bit compared to a 20 guage?
Friends and I are going to shoot skeet this weekend. And I have a few places marked that are in the national forest but wanted to see if anyone knows cool spots to go shooting in the Eden area?
I am not new to shooting, but my exposure to clays has been all hand thrown or manual spring loaded throwers. I have a Winchester 1300 pump in 12 GA. I do ok with it, but would love to take the next step. I went to a skeet range a couple days ago and I can see myself going monthly. The guys I shoot with are older (60's - 70's) and shoot 20 GA O/U. I would love pick up a bunch more guns (don't we all) to include a semi-auto and an O/U. My current bug is for a gun primarily to shoot skeet with. I can't decided between Semi auto and O/U, nor can I narrow it down to 12 vs 20. My budget is right around $700.
My local shops have Stoeger Condors, Savage Stevens 555, Weatherby Orion, and various semi autos from the same Companies, plus some Browning offerings. There is also a Baretta Silver Pigeon on Clearance for $1700 that makes me want to pull out my credit card.
I would enjoy all options, but want to make sure that I am not wasting my money. Would love any advice.
Title. Basically current NYC resident but permanent NJ resident that is looking to learn how to skeet shoot. I have experience with firearms but pretty much exclusively pistols. Also, any recommendations on classes or anything like that for long guns in general?
Do you guys hunt for it online or is there a goto store in jersey that reliably stocks shotgun target load ammo?
I just got a shotgun and I'm looking to shoot it somewhere.
Anyone any idea? I searched a couple places but I also heard some of them not taking members anymore because they want to be more βeliteβ and donβt want casual shooter be with them.
I totally understand regarding that. Bringing up noobs like me is time intensive. However, I still want to try to shoot skeet. (Never did) (Plus there is no short supplies of 7.5 shot, I guess is a good way to shoot my 12GA in-expensively?)
Any places that welcome a newbie like me? Please let me know. Thanks.
Prefer around capital region please. Thanks.
Iβve had a hard time trying to find the answer online, hoping you guys could help. This would be at island lake.
BOTS won't bounce and it's probably mode related, but for now you can still open console and type:
"/edit b_nounoustar_01"
It will work ! Just make sure you've downloaded the map from the workshop.
(thanks Oxford)

It has all weapons included, 50 jumppads for maximum randomness, 5 floors (a 6th soon to train tracking from above). It's available in brawl/FFA.
Notes & known issues :
Visiting family for a week around thanksgiving and looking for a place to go Skeet Shooting.
Place Iβm looking for would have to have shotgun rentals and be open to the public!
I havent been able to find a concrete answer anywhere. All I can find that it is illegal to discharge any firearm in Maryland, period. Is that true? I have a 52 acre property in Kent County and I'd at least like to shoot skeet or something. And would there be a restriction to shooting over bodies of water if no one is out on the water for a mile? (Body of water I'm on is about a mile wide and theres rarely boaters.) Theres also hunting blinds out on the water here as well so bit confused?
An arcade game type activity using the same game-play as the Scientific Method/vex conflux part of The Technocrat Empire Hunt. It could have three modes, single-player (shoot enemies), multi-player (shoot enemies) and mayhem (shoot each other and enemies) at Cadmus Ridge.
I imagine it like skeet shooting, with the Vex spawning at 2 or 3 points on the north ridge, while the players stand on or near the platform with the conflux. The Vex pour over the top, and the players have to shoot as many as possible in 1 minute (or 3 minutes, or whatever), with a point-scoring system like Nightfalls. There could be different difficulty settings (i.e. tougher enemies), and maybe even have single weapon handicaps (e.g. snipers only, hand-cannons only, etc.). I think you could use this as a basis for some kind of tournament.
Could be fun if you just want a quick dip into the gameβ¦
I feel like there should be a trophy for throwing a gas can in the air and shooting it with a shotgun round before it hits the ground as I have made a habit. Anyone else do this?
I donβt necessarily mean outdoor ranges. I have my own launcher and clay. I just want a spot maybe out near the lake that isnβt densely populated and I could safely discharge a .12g with small game loads. Is there anywhere like that?
