I found this rock song via YouTube's recommendations. In the beginning its peaceful but somewhere around the middle to the end is where the beat drops. Its a bit of an old song... I'm not sure when it was released.
I hope nobody minds me sharing =) I made this arrangement for Queensryche's Silent Lucidity. It's just a fun little project I worked on where I weave the audio in and out for four different instruments, and set it to a music video of some dream sequences that kind of fit the song theme. It's all the same track being played, and if anyone would like it, message me on Discord (and it will probably show up in the BMP repository eventually)
Because I heard it on the radio and remembered how much I loved the song. And she told me that, to my sudden realization, that it was effectively a mash up of all Pink Floyd.
I new I loved the song, but now I know why.
The prog metal band Queensrÿche had a top 10 hit in the US in 1990 with Silent Lucidity and that's actually their only song to reach the top 100. They're obviously legends in the metal community, they're still active and pretty big for a metal band (especially in Europe) but their only taste of mainsteam success was that song. Honestly I would just love to hear Todd talk about them because they are one of rather few non nu-metal metal bands that could qualify.
Most kids' music gets under my skin, so I'm working on an unconventional lullaby playlist for my 9 month old. He really seems to calm down to "You Need to Calm Down" by Taylor Swift, which I can sort of tolerate, but he's becoming more appreciative of Queen and Pink Floyd, which is finally making our nighttime teething drama a little easier on all of us. Do you guys have any soothing favorites?
