A list of puns related to "Silent Letter (album)"
I just finished watching the VODs of Woolie and Reggie's playthrough of the first Silent Hill and it's one of my favorite playthroughs since thesw1tcher days. I'm very excited that he's moving forward with the series. I know that Silent Hill 2 is a game very dear to a lot of people's hearts, and it's one that many of us have spent a great deal of time analyzing and exploring, but I want to stress something to a community that is very eager to share knowledge of their interests with people.
Much ink has been spilled and video recorded expounding on the intricacies and subtle layers of the symbolism present in the game. For many of us, so many years out from release, these videos and articles may be the primary way we engage with the game now, especially since it's not readily available on modern hardware. When viewed through this lens, it's easy to forget that it was first a game that we all experienced for the first time.
So please, let Woolie and Reggie play Silent Hill 2 and take from it what they will. They don't need college dissertations on how James pronounces his Ws after every cutscene to make sure that he "gets it."
We have a unique opportunity to see someone go in essentially cold. Just enjoy it.
Also, please respect the fact that there are others in this community for whom this will be their first time with the game as well.
Do twins ever realize that one of them is unplanned?
Why is the letter W, in English, called double U? Shouldn't it be called double V?r>
Maybe oxygen is slowly killing you and It just takes 75-100 years to fully work.
Every time you clean something, you just make something else dirty.
The word "swims" upside-down is still "swims".
100 years ago everyone owned a horse and only the rich had cars. Today everyone has cars and only the rich own horses.
If you replace "W" with "T" in "What, Where and When", you get the answer to each of them.
If you rip a hole in a net, there are actually fewer holes in it than there were before.
When aliens first came to Earth and their ambassadors and historians wanted to know more about our various cultures, they asked if they might access our public historical records.
The most infuriating thing for them turned out to be, silent letters. Why would any species that documents data in written format include additional letters that are never spoken?
:P
While I was watching the videos of the recent trip of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain to Sweden, the Spanish lady reporter said βSus Majestades los Reyesβ but I noticed that the s in the word βlosβ was not pronounced. It was instead pronounced as βloβ. Why is that? Sorry, my Spanish is not very good. Thank you to whoever can answer this.
You're the love of my life. I've been in love with you for 10 years. Most of our friendship. You're everything to me. You're my soulmate. You make me feel like I'm important and like I matter and like I'm worthy of love. Imagine that. Me, worthy of love. I wish I had told you sooner. Because now you're married and so unbelievably happy. But sometimes I catch myself thinking I could make you happier. Sometimes, I still think about holding your hand. Wrapping you up in my arms and my sweaters. Holding your face in my hands and kissing you with my entire soul behind it. Making you understand that the deepest parts of my being all worship you and you only. Why did I wait and wait? I would tell myself to be brave. You would be with someone and then break up and I would think wow, this is it. This is the moment. And then I couldn't bring myself to do it because I just knew you wouldn't take me seriously. It's alright. I can still be your friend without being your girlfriend. Your best friend without being your wife. I can still be here without being there. I can still love you from afar. I'm so good at looking but not touching. The commitment you made was forever, and I'll support you if it makes you happy. And one day, maybe I'll find someone who love me like this and makes me feel less for you. Maybe one day, I'll feel less like a stupid pick me girl, even though I never uttered a word. Maybe I'll feel anything at all.

I created this because I was curious how it would look if the Silent Hill games were made into movies in the year they are set in. Silent Hill 2 happens in the early to mid 90s, so I made a fancast of who would play the characters in, say 1991, as well as who would direct it.
Side Note: I know Devin Ratray would have been way too young to do this, but i couldn't find any noticable actors that had a lot of weight on them without getting into, like, John Candy comedic actor territory
jum. ?!
You know they died, and yet the letter is referring to things only they should know. Obviously, if it was handwritten and you recognized the writing as theirs, that would influence your answer. But what if it was typed? Let's also assume in your decision-making that your "special place" isn't knowingly a horror town filled with monsters.
Honestly, I'd probably go. If the letter was typed, it would have to contain knowledge no one else really should know. Logically, it doesn't make sense to go besides peace of mind knowing I tried to see whatever was waiting for me. Regardless of beliefs though, despite living in a world of science, no one really knows that supernatural things don't occur. These types of things could happen and they wouldn't really be provable to the masses.
Is there a purpose or reason behind having silent letters? Americans usually like to write the spellings similiar to pronounciation, for example color instead of colour. So why do they (and everyone else) keep writing the silent characters. It doesn't seem very intuitive to make everyone learn spellings that have random letters present for no apparent reason
Also is there any other language that uses silent letters in its spellings?
For those students of English who have found English spelling maddeningly inconsistent, this article can help provide either fuel to the fire or comfort that you're not alone as it points out that almost every letter in the alphabet is silent (i.e. unpronounced) in some words.
They must be waiting for their turn.
Recently answering a question, I thought about one detail that haunts me.
The letter starts in the same way both at the beginning of the game and at the end, it is just more detailed. But according to the plot, it disappears. First the text, then the letter, then the envelope. Mary managed to write only one real letter to Laura. The scenes at the end, on the bed, are also not real, but why then is there a moment in the three endings where James receives letters? Was the first imagination and the second not?
Theyβre waiting for their turn
Theyβre just waiting their turn...
