My daughter passed away 6 years ago fighting a rare genetic condition. The condition was also responsible for my late wife's death when my daughter was only an infant. I don't want to discuss anything related to that now. Let me talk about the issue at hand.
I'm now married to my amazing wife. I have a stepdaughter who will be starting high school shortly. I made a lot of investments for my late daughter. I thought I could give her a head start in life. But that never happened. So I decided to donate the money to a charity ( which helps kids with genetic disorders ). The investments I made mature in an year and I plan on donating all of it.
Now my wife wants me to use the money for my stepdaughter. She tells me that this will help her have a head start in life and that would partially fulfill the purpose of the investments. She thinks this will also help us finance her college education. She doesn't want her getting bogged down by loans, which is a sound argument. I love my stepdaughter, but I don't think I'm ready to do this. I want to donate the money. WIBTA here?
The characters feel real, like they could be you or me. The dialogue is fantastic and the way the actors deliver it elevates it to the next level.
Before I started watching the show last year I was on the "this is probably trash " side , but I have nothing to do atm so I give it a try. Then I watched the first Episode and boom I became a really big fan of the show.
The relationship between Maeve and Otis in particular is beautifully done.
S2 again was freaking fantastic besides the ending which is super frustrating, but it has to happen I guess, otherwise we wouldn't get another season.
Long story short: It's going to be a tough year until S3 drops.
Mormons as a people should look at that stockpile and see that it is collectively THEIR money in that fund, but they will never see a dime of it. They won’t give it to their children to buy a home or start a business, won’t give it to a charity and see it do good. It’s just gonna stroke the egos of people like oaks and Nelson and sit there waiting to be pissed away on something stupid like pointy buildings in Missouri.
