A list of puns related to "Shimoni Primary Teachers College"
My son is having issues with another boy in his class, itβs been going on a while and so far I have stuck to tell the teacher, said boy looses βminutesβ from a treat on a Friday when caught.
I know of his family and letβs say itβs not a good one. I donβt doubt this kid has a troubled childhood but my son shouldnβt suffer because of it.
I have liaised with his teacher and the head. No improvement. How can I keep telling him to tell the teacher when nothing happens
Nursery teachers also included!
Will we follow QLD? Will we start online? Will we just go straight back as normal because the gov wants the vote of the tired parent who doesnβt want their children at home? How do we feel about knowing for sure most likely the night before weβre scheduled to go back?
Personally, Iβm not keen on starting the year online. So impersonal. But I also donβt want to be working on a covid hotspot frenzy nightmare situation. From what Iβve been reading for the QLD teachers, starting later isnβt as simple as it seems?
Very few of my grades 1-12 teachers really impacted my life. Of your experience was anything like mine, It always felt like there was something "missing" from the teachers. Like almost none of them seemed to care very much about their job or even the subject they were teaching. My highschool economics teacher was one of the few exceptions from this. He actually developed an economic instrument for business to use and that made him a millionaire. He was genuinely passionate about teaching the future generation about his field. The problem is that few teachers are as altruistic as him. People with right half bell curve brains don't want to take a left half bell curve salary.
Now I'm in college and things are starting to add up. I've talked with lots of education majors majors on my campus. The conversation is the same every time.
"So what makes you want to be a teacher?". "My grades were too low to get into the field I wanted"
"So what makes you want to teach math?" "The engineering program was too hard"
The way I see it, people who go into education are "settling" for a career. Very few of them are scholars and they definitely arnt passionate about educating the future generation. Maybe it's just my experience but I think we need smarter teachers.
Back then I just saw it as a nice day off school but thinking about it now I feel like it happened a bit often, obviously I was too young to realise but was something going on with the government back then or something? Also I accidentally went on Ireland gone wild when I was looking for this sub and oh boy
I donβt know if thereβs any CHED policy regarding here, I already searched but got no definitive answer. Iβm so fed up about my Marcos loyalist and DDS professor which are trying to persuade my gullible classmates to vote for Gadon and the likes.
I'm just curious.
I'm a qualified teacher who is doing supply. My agency has given me a fortnight as a teaching assistant and when I questioned if it would be better to have me available as a teacher, they said there was likely to be no work.
I'm in two agencies and neither have suggested I should make an effort to be available as a teacher rather than as a TA. It seems that the news is constantly stressing that there are no teachers due to Covid - is it mainly a problem in secondary?
They see a skinny boy each day with broken glasses that never get fixed and they donβt call anyone? Youβd think that never having his glasses fixed or him wearing baggy clothes for P.E would raise suspicions.
So, she was the reason I got tested and hence diagnosed, which made my life so much easier, she was also the only teacher who ever understood me and didnβt just think I was some brat. I didnβt show my appreciation at the time and was even angry that she had called me autistic as I was an ableist little bigot. So, I found her instagram, follow requested her and she rejected, follow requested again but then realised I could DM her without following her, so I did, I explained who I was, how much of an impact sheβd made and thanked her, just checked instagram and sheβs blocked me and the messages arenβt marked as seen. I believe it probably said I had requested to message her and she prob just blocked me straight away without accepting to see, prob thought I was some creep at this point. But also, what if she did see and I was just too personal or she hates me? I understand teachers canβt have students on social media but she doesnβt work in that school anymore and Iβm not there either, Iβm in highschool now. I donβt understand why she blocked me:(. I really need to thank her.
I'm a primary school teacher. I graduated this summer and started working in September. I've always thought that teaching is amusing and fun specially when it comes to kids but these 4 months totally changed my mind. My students are honestly the worst. They misbehave and they show no respect. I've been under pressure to the point where I think I'm going through a teaching burnout. So my question is how can I solve this problem before I lose my mind?
I did independent published research, so I was wondeirng if my science research teacher (who wrote me a primary LOR) could also write me a LOR for the research supplement since he was my only research supervisor. If this is not allowed, should I just not submit a research supplement?
Shuriken
Hey everyone. Iβm sure many posts like this have been made before, but I was baptized 5 weeks ago, and yesterday I was called to be a primary teacher. Any advice?
(And thanks to this sub for support through my journey from belief to baptism amid some family conflict)
Question why is no one talking about it? Well itβs Sheffield and council is more bothered about gala and giving permits to mates.

Iβm curious about other primary schoolsβ systems to deal with non-desirable behaviours and general classroom disruption.
My schoolβs is:
I donβt really feel like my schoolβs system is effective. We have a LOT of low level disruption as well as some major outbursts from our trickier SEMH pupils.
I do a lot of positive reinforcement and catching pupils being good (dojos, house points, stickers etc) but I still spend almost every lesson being shouted over or chatted back to. I do feel like I have a good relationship with my class - lots of parents commented at consultations that their children enjoy school and like having me as their teacher.
We used to have a βminutes offβ system with golden time which was very effective for the middle-of-the-road pupils who needed a sharp shock to stay on track and make better choices but admittedly it didnβt work for our a lot of our SEMH need pupils who definitely required a different approach.
TLDR: Whatβs your schoolβs behaviour system and do you think itβs effective?
Also any tips on good courses or courses to avoid would be really helpful!

My boyfriend (Eric) graduated with his master's in the spring, and his parents threw him a big party to celebrate. He's hoping to become a teacher and is currently working as a substitute. We've been dating for almost three years after meeting in college, but when I stumbled upon something that I bought to his attention, he made me out to be the enemy while accusing me of "not being on his side"
Eric is involved in a few role-play groups on Twitter, and he has a few accounts that portray various fictional characters. He's also into D&D, but writing stories for his RP group to act out is his hobby, and while I'm not a part of the group, I followed some of the accounts to keep up with his storylines, and he sometimes asks me for opinions on his stories. However, I stumbled upon an account that I wasn't supposed to find, but did because some of his RP accounts followed it (as many of his accounts follow each other), and it was an account that impersonated one of his friends. Long story short... there's a guy named Evan who is in his D&D group, and Evan is one of his closest friends. Evan also has a younger brother (Todd) who sometimes tags along to D&D, and he is a talented artist who has drawn many of Eric's characters and profile photos for his RP accounts too. And while I'm not an active member of D&D, I've met him a few times when I've tagged along on days when Eric would invite me
Evan and Todd come from a military family where both of their parents served, but Evan went to college. Todd wanted to go into the service upon finishing high school, but Eric would try to convince him to go to college because he believed it was better than the service. However, Todd still wanted to enter. So, Eric spoke to Evan to try and get him on his side, but Evan reinforced that the choice was ultimately Todd's and that there are benefits to both the military and college. So, neither would be a bad choice, and I agreed with that too. However, when an injury would prevent Todd from being able to enter, Eric believed that he would opt for college, but he landed an internship through a connection with his father that would allow him to learn a trade instead, and that is what led to what happened recently
Eric made a Twitter that
