A list of puns related to "Shear (sheet metal)"
Anyone know of any sheet metal shops in the area? Even in FtW or GP? I'm trying to find a shop that has a 48in or larger sheet metal shear and brake. Preferably a shear with digital size control. There was a place I was using but they shut down last year.
It wouldn't be super frequent, maybe a few times a year that I'd need something. We're a sign shop and occasionally need various quantities of 040 or 080 aluminum that isn't a standard size blank. Even more rare is when we need to do a custom pan sign that requires the edges being folded. Those can be up to 8 or 10 ft so a 120"+ brake would be cool.
Anybody have any experience with this company? Our shop is buying one, upgrading from an old ass Betenbender. We are getting the PX1210
I have the opportunity to purchase one of these for $300 (original price $399). It comes with a nice heavy custom steel stand. But Iβm not sure what to look for to make sure Iβm getting a good deal.
I am learning to do sheet metal work so I donβt have much experience. Are there any tests, checks or measurements I should run to make sure it will perform properly?
I donβt know how old this is. Are there older models and/variations for which I should look out?
I plan to show up with a few pieces of sheet aluminum and run some tests. Anything I should check out? I am planning to use this primarily for aluminum.
