A list of puns related to "Serial Line Internet Protocol"
gdbstub
is an ergonomic and easy-to-integrate implementation of the GDB Remote Serial Protocol in Rust, with full #[no_std]
support.
By implementing just a few basic methods from the gdbstub::Target
trait, you can get a rich GDB debugging session up and running in your emulator / hypervisor / debugger / embedded project in no time!
After over a half-year of development, gdbstub
0.6 has finally been released!
This massive update delivers a slew of new protocol extensions, internal improvements, and key API improvements. Some highlights include:
GdbStubStateMachine
API, enabling gdbstub
to integrate nicely with async event loops!
no_std
platforms, this new API enables gdbstub
to be driven directly via breakpoint/serial interrupt handlers!vmware-labs/node-replicated-kernel
and betrusted-io/xous-core
to enable bare-metal, in-kernel debugging.gdbstub
is now entirely panic free in release builds!
rustc
's compiler optimizationsno_std
platforms.gdbtsub
is licensed under MIT OR Apache-2.0See the changelog for a comprehensive rundown of all the new features.
While this release does come with quite a few breaking changes, the core IDET-based Target
API has remained much the same, which should make porting code over from 0.5.x to 0.6 pretty mechanical. See the [transition_guide.md](https://github.com/daniel5151/gdbstub/blob/dev/0.6/docs/transition_gui
I don't know why, but this line protocol goes up, then down every 2-3 seconds. I have been experiencing this issue on two of my routers that I had directly connected for a PPP configuration lab. The lab went well, but afterward this problem kept occurring. It stops when I either shut down the interface or change it back to HDLC.
https://gyazo.com/87fa9d47718293b0d88e7d672981a31d
HDLC works with no issue - when I try to connect the two routers with a serial connection, and specify a specific username and password the line protocol will keep bouncing up and down, no OSPF adjacency is established and I cannot ping across the link.,

Im planning on using the LTC6812 as BMS Slaves. Can anyone explain how arbitration is done through ISOSPI? Suppose i have multiple slaves in daisy chain and a the master node is requests for data. How do the slaves transmit in an orderly sequence to not cause bus traffic or if does not follow any sequence, how does it enable smooth communication with the master?
And what is the Message Format/Frames of ISO SPI?
Hello All,
I am not sure whether it's the right thread to ask this question, if it's not then I'll move it to a suggested thread.
I want to learn to code properly for UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Bluetooth, and WiFi using embedded C. So far wherever I go, I find people using the library but when I am planning to use a not-so-popular IC for which there is no library available, I am unable to work with it. Also, I think if someone wants to be a proper hardware developer engineer, they should learn it the proper way.
That brings me back to my actual question, It feels like the first suggestion that I may get is to read the datasheet properly but when someone starts fresh they may not even know how to read the datasheet or what registers they have to configure, or how the whole thing actually works.
I would really appreciate it if someone can direct me to some proper study materials (Book, Blog post, video Tutorial, etc.) where someone starts from the explanation of the protocol, explains why and which registers to look for, and how to use those register and register level commands (WITHOUT LIBRARY) in the IDE to write the code to establish communication (using Embedded C).
The study material can be for any microcontroller platform, as those serial communication protocols are mostly of standard types, the knowledge should be transferrable to other platforms as well.
Best Wishes
England
Hi all,
So recently some UK Carriers have started blocking Appleβs βPrivate Relayβ feature.
For those who donβt know, βPrivate Relayβ is essentially a VPN within the same country you are. The idea is to change your IP per website or app so that itβs one less way of apps and websites being able to track you behind your back.
The VPN will be based in the country you are, so this is not some type of censorship avoidance thing. At least in the UK anyways where as far as I know, websites arenβt censored.
I tried looking online if this was legal for ISPs to do but I cannot find a definitive answer. The Americans have pretty much taken over all of the censorship search results.
It seems to be taken for granted that the future for the vast majority of applications is IP based. I have some idea of why this is, but I'm looking for someone more versed in the field than myself to articulate why this is.
Is this move mostly to take advantage of the existing knowledge base, technology, ubiquity, etc.? I know a lot of what protocol will be used is determined by who sponsors it with the most money, but I'm wondering what advantage IP based protocols bring that would make AB and Siemens choose it as their main protocol.

The girl guy was probably searching for clues or something in the house of the bad guy, and when discovered by the bad guy, she he actually wanted to leave. But the bad guy managed to trick her him by politely inviting herhim for a drink or something, and the girlguy decided to stay on, thinking that shehe might not have been discovered (snooping on the bad guy). Shortly later, the girlguy was subdued (can't recall if it was by drugs or by force).
The guy then asked/told herhim why shehe/they (referring to past victims) always choose to politely stay on even though they already have a very high suspicion.
[Edit]: After having found the answer by the helpful people of reddit, I must clarify/correct my post that the victim was a him (Daniel Craig) instead of a her.
The bridge allows users to transact with native Ethereum assets at faster speeds with lower cost and store them directly on-chain.
On Wednesday, Psychedelic, a Web 3.0 development studio that creates solutions for the Internet Computer, launched Terabithia, an asset mirroring and contract communication protocol between chains. Starting with Internet Computer (ICP) and Ethereum development ( ETH ), users will have the ability to duplicate and use any ETH token, fungible and non-fungible, on the Internet Computer blockchain and vice versa, turning ICP into a scale solution layer two for ETH.
The protocol attempts to address the problem of congestion on the Ethereum network development and high gas rates. Meanwhile, the Internet Computer uses a "reverse gas model" in which developers provide the funds necessary to run the applications or contracts that use their gas, known as "cycles."
When asked about the technological capabilities of the Internet Computer, Dominic Williams, founder and chief scientist at ICP Dfinity developer, told Cointelegraph:
"The Internet Computer is quite fast. For example, while Solana is the closest competitor in terms of speed, the IC is about 700% faster, with 250 millisecond reads and 2 second writes / updates."
According to Williams, the Internet Computer is "much more efficient at storing data than most other strings." While Ethereum currently costs $ 199 million to store one gigabyte of data per year, the same amount of storage costs only $ 5.52 per year on the Internet Computer . "This enables decentralized applications that really run at the speed of the web, with unlimited capacity" in terms of data or cost, he said.
Williams further added that "the unlimited capacity also means that the NFTs can be stored completely on-chain." It claimed that the Internet Computer is the only blockchain that stores non-fungible tokens entirely on the chain "and the only one that allows zero-fee transactions." It further added that "NFT metadata is regularly stored 'off-chain' normally due to the cost of data and the inability to scale many blockchains."
Last month, the total value locked in layer two solutions on Ethereum development hit an all-time high of $ 5.64 billion. Cryptocurrency enthusiasts have been migrating to such networks to escape rising gas prices. Whi

Hello all!
My buddy and I started a podcast diving deep into the strange corners of the internet. We cover creators, cults, and personalities all around the net. Our most recent episode is our first step into internet-related true crime. We are taking a look at the internetβs first serial killer John Edward Robinson. Iβm very excited as true crime podcasts were my primary motivation and inspiration to start our podcast.
I would love to hear all your impressions and critiques to make the show the best we can.
