A list of puns related to "Seamless branching"
I have some 2in1 MKV rips that I used to play in MPC-HC with Haali Splitter back in the day. Can't find anything about playback of such files in MPV. It plays default (I guess) version of the movie but doesn't engage Haali so I can switch to the other one... Is it even possible in MPV? And whats the solution?

Just wondering why this is the case, seeing as it's a pretty common feature with most other releases featuring multiple cuts.
A good example is Candyman, where the only difference to the film itself is a couple alternate camera angles during a single scene.
Seems odd that they would go through the trouble of pressing an additional disc for what amounts to a second or two of differences between the R-rated and Unrated cuts.
Has Shout! ever commented on why they do things the way they do?
Anyone encountered this? I'm on the latest Jarvis, and have my Blu-Ray collection ripped as folders on a NAS.
Movies play fine, but if there's seamless branching (typically Disney localizing on-screen text) then it skips around till its a minute or two past the branching, then smooths back out.
I've opened the folders in TMT 6, so I know it's not that the device is under-powered (ASRock BeeBox N3000).
What's the best way to handle seamless branching in Kodi? I've tested MKV with ordered chapters using Xin1 but that's only accessible through certain players. If I load the blu ISO Kodi gives me the option of which version to play. Would it be possible to strip all the extras from the disc as MKV's and rebuild the disc so just the seamless branching movie is in the ISO? Is there a better method?
Recently I platinumed Ghost of Tsushima and have been thinking about how it managed to feel both refreshing and routine at the same time. Sucker Punch have taken many clichΓ©s and trends from modern games and applied them with a deft hand to produce and amazing, if familiar game.
Thatβs not to cast shade on Ghost! Really, itβs like eating an incredible vanilla pudding. You know what to expect while eating your pudding, and the execution of said pudding is sublime. As far as vanilla puddings go, this one canβt be beat. And thatβs how it felt to play Ghost.
From the get-go Ghost gives Far Cry vibes, but in Japan. The fusion of outpost clearing, crafting, stealth, combat, ancillary weapons, hunting animals, etc. was all very familiar. And it refined many of these things into a seamless experience.
Weβve been there, done that. Nearly every modern open-world RPG does and tries to improve on these things.
That influence from other modern games continues while exploring the island where Jin summons his horse, ala Witcher 3, and gaily gallops around. Itβs difficult to ride for more than a minute before a side activity jumps for your attention. Tsushima is full of stuff to do and most of it youβll uncover organically. I really liked how many activities focus on slowing the player down and meditating on the moment.
Although, it gave me whiplash when Jin started scaling cliffs and jumping across platforms like heβs Nathan fucking Drake. Not sure about you, but when I think of the feudal samurai, Iβm not picturing a man leaping from cliff, to tree branch, to yurt roof. The jumping and platforming mechanics are narratively and thematically jarring when compared to the rest of the game.
Then you have the combat. Originally, I thought Ghostsβ combat was like home-brand Sekiro. The emphasis on parries, ripostes and dodges were all too familiar, however the timing and aggression of enemies was more akin to Batman Arkham City. Even turning up the difficulty didnβt bring any more challenge to battles because once you get the parries down, youβre golden.
Early in the game, I thought Ghost was basically open-world Sekiro for the less patient. Especially when the grappling hook was introduced!
However, Ghost really came into its own once I embraced stances. I imagine some players ignored the mechanic but playing on the higher difficulty forced me continuously stance switch which really gave Ghost a unique style. Perhaps Nioh is like this as well?

##Do you think Visions succeeds as an introduction to anime for Star Wars fans and/or as an introduction to Star Wars for anime fans?
Does well in introducing Star Wars to anime fans and Star Wars fans to anime
Visions with a few exceptions fits right into the modality of Star Warsβs binary moral ethos and self-reverent delivery. In that sense it is an accurate intro to what Star Wars is like to anime fans, just delivered in bite-sized chunks.
On the other hand the variety of the shorts, especially in highlights like the bombastic pastiche βThe Twinsβ and elegiac tragedy βAkakiriβ, is a good intro to the sheer aesthetic and narrative breath present in anime as a medium to a wider mainstream audience of Star Wars fans.
/u/AdiMG
Does well in introducing Star Wars to anime fans, doesnβt do well introducing Star Wars fans to anime
Visions is couched in a lot of Japanese culture, which allows for a much smoother introduction, as anime fans will most likely be familiar with a decent amount of the iconography and mannerisms in this anthology. Some of its core motifs and themes, such as constantly present parallels between samurais and jedi

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I basically want to remux my blu ray collection into an mkv file to play via plex. I've used eac3to along with mkvmerge, mkvmerge on its own and makemkv to remux but each I'm still struggling to pick a definitive remuxing tool. eac3to is very good for discs with seamless branching and does what looks like a decent job along with encoding the audio aswell but it does take time when doing a few movies. mkvmerge is good and saves alot of time but doesn't deal with seamless branching and also hasn't the ability to encode to flac or any sort of audio format for that matter, I could just remux movies with only the one m2ts file and not several m2ts tracks which use seamless branching and keep stuff like the pcm soundtrack. Last program is makemkv which has the ability to do things alot quicker and also has option to convert audio to flac, I'm not so sure though as the program doesn't give you alot of control over the remux. Another thing to point out is I've encountered movies with padding and coloured bars at the beginning which are obviously not supposed to be there. Neither of these programs deal with this problem for some reason or other. Anyway I'm just looking for peoples opinions on what they use and what they believe is the best remuxing tool to use? Thankyou

Hi! I and turning to the running shoe hive mind to help me brainstorm some ideas of shoes I might like to try.
I am currently without an everyday trainer and I'm just not finding something I love. Previously I'd basically everything except races in my NB1080v10. I do not like the v11 at all so I'm looking for a replacement. I loved the comfortable upper of the v10 and the good amount of cushioning.
I have a narrow midfoot, so I like uppers where the tongue and everything is more seamless as I get a lot of puckering at the bottom of the laces with shoes at are more separate.
I've since tried:
Saucony Shift - I like them, but they feel a little stiff and bulky for every day runs, I tend to use them maybe twice a week and my toes seem to go numb anything over 6 miles, I don't know if that is user lacing error.
Saucony Triumph 18 - just generally too much shoe and I don't think I'm used to a higher drop
Saucony Kinvara 11 - I might go for the next model in these as they are a very reliable shoe, though a little stiffer feeling than what I'm looking for.
I have the original Speed model for races.
I am obviously stuck in a Saucony rut - I wouldn't mind branching out but I don't know where to start.
I currently use eac3to along with mkvmerge and whilst this option gives good results it takes a considerable amount of time to create a remux. I'm looking at simply creating a remux directly with mkvmerge thus eliminating the use of eac3to. However I've been told that mkvmerge struggles when creating a remux from seamless branching movies or movies with more than one m2ts. Can anybody tell me whether that's still the case? I'm using the latest version of mkvmerge (willows v63.0) Thankyou

I know there's always a lot of talk about Cooler's longevity, and this sometimes branches into units that have upside when used as floaters, but I was wondering what people would think about leaders having a support passive for their categories as a rule, rather than an exception?
The leader of a category is one of the greatest constraints for a team's success, and team-building constraints, of course, as you need to run two. As these units are usually non-support type, you are either trying to find a way to run both main rotation, or end up often awkwardly running at least one off rotation, which in my experience is usually not as rewarding for the rotations they are in the 3rd spot.
Apart from Cooler just being an inherently strong design, it is his ability to be a support unit that makes him arguably the best "all-round" designed units in the game. To be clear I'm not saying he's the best unit, just that aside from slapping something obviously broken on a unit like auto-guard and defense stacking that will always age slowly, his design is allowed to last for much longer than units with a similar level of APT/Defense.
Allowing your leader to be 2/3 floating units gives you huge freedom in how you build your team. It lets you try out many different main rotation options without feeling like you miss out on seeing those main rotation units operate at their best. It totally opens up a category to be played in more ways, makes changing rotations in the middle of a battle almost seamless and just creates overall better play patterns imo. This also allows these leaders to continue to populate the friend system for far longer, and importantly therefore makes you feel like you've gotten your stone's/$ worth out of a unit, especially considering how unforgiving the game can be at times.
I'd be interested to hear what people think about this, and if you agree or not that it would be an overall positive for the game if this was a running pattern. I don't think this would even mean banner units wouldn't get to be great supports, especially now as it seems they're blurring the lines to allow for supports to be far more tanky or powerful in their own right, as we've seen over the last year.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC

We're pleased to announce the fifth Alpha pre-release of our upcoming 10.8.0 version. This release is built right from our Master branch as of this afternoon, and is thus just a glorified Unstable build, but this is the first in a series of Alpha -> Beta -> RC releases we plan to make in preparation for the final 10.8.0 release. Unlike 10.7.0 we're not just calling them all "RCs"!
Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. "Alpha 4" failed to build which necessitated a new tag, so this is functionally "Alpha 4". And I forgot to change the title to match, so just bask in the confusing numbering!
Developers, take note that we are now coming up on feature freeze; that will come after the first Beta is released which I am tentatively planning for January 14th or 15th. Please get your PRs in before that date!
Note that this release includes our Tonemapping HWA improvements. To take full advantage of this, you will need to upgrade Jellyfin FFMPEG to version 4.4.1 - packages are available at the download links below or in the main repository, and is included automatically in the Docker containers.
Please note, of course, that this in an alpha release. We do not recommend running this release on your production, user-facing servers if you don't want to deal with user complaints. ;-) And don't forget to take a full backup of your instances first, just in case! Upgrading from the previous Alphas should be seamless.
That said, we would greatly appreciate wider user testing. Several developers have already been running unstable builds on their servers with success, so we'd now love to see some more bug-searching and acceptance testing from the wider community. If you do find any bugs or problems please open a new issue on our Github Issues pages with "[10.8.0]" in the title and we will tag it appropriately.
The main packages can be found on the main downloads page, under the "Next Stable Pre-Releases (10.8.0)" link for your respective platform: https://repo.jellyfin.org/releases/server/ and look for the "10.8.0-alpha5/" links. Don't forget the FFMPEG (if available) to take advantage of Tonemapping!
Docker images are up with the 10.8.0-alpha5
tag.
The changelog since Alpha 3 is available on the GitHub release here: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/releases/tag/v10.8.0-alpha5
Please note that, due to CI and versioning limitations, the actual running server version and packages (e.g. `
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi! So my parents and I have had Frontier DSL at 25Mbps, which is the only other ISP in our area besides Optimum. They've been a great ISP in our eyes, however, there hasn't been any word of them adding fiber to our area, and it's getting to the point that 25Mbps isn't enough -- Zoom meetings, file uploading, streaming, downloading, etc.
Recently I found that Optimum offers their Fiber 1 Gig plan in our area, to our surprise. At least, I think so -- I know there's talk about advertising only the download and not the upload, as the two being equal means fiber, and if they're unequal, it's coax. Here are a few screenshots of what our options are when we input our address:
Sources: Optimum's pricing packages and Fiber details page (click the "i" for the fine details).
From all this, is it indeed the case that we could get their actual fiber plan and not their coax plan with the same advertised download?
If so, a concern I have is about pricing: In the checkout page, it says that it's only $55 or so ($50 with auto-pay and paperless), but on the pricing plans page, it's $130, so what's the actual price? They don't mention any contract, so is it really just $55/month as long as we're in good standing and all that?
Aside from the pricing, my folks and I have a few questions we're hoping you could answer:
Is their customer support bad enough that we should avoid using them as our ISP? We could in theory have Frontier DSL and Optimum Fiber, just in case Optimum turns out to be bad, but if we do need them to service our house, we're concerned it may not happen due to the poor support. Another aspect is how hard it would be to cancel if it turns out it's not what we thought. Is that ever an issue?
Are there ever any outages? We have Optimum for television, and back in Summer of 2020 with Tropical Storm Isais, we had no television for multiple weeks (though that was most likely because most of the customer base was knocked offline). Just curious if they respond to outages effectively, communicate about them in advance if they're planned, etc.

I've been ensnared by fragrance review tiktok for months now, which has led to me gathering a modest collection of decants and travel sizes (https://imgur.com/a/rzJOokg). I'm currently in the midst of deciding on what perfume will be my first full-sized purchase. Below are some thoughts on the scents I've tried most!
***
DIPTYQUE (travel sizes)
Philosokys EDT - I've never been to an orchard of fig trees, so I can't comment on this scent's photorealism. To me, it conjures memories of sun-dried summer farm fields, of nestling in a hay loft, of peeling apart green straw and chewing the stem.
L'Ombre Dans L'Eau EDT - Sharp and green and invigorating. The faintest hint of rose underscores its herbaceous leafiness, like I spent a rainsoaked morning elbow-deep in tomato stems and thorny bushes.
Do Son EDT - A beautiful white floral (and better replacement for an old gifted bottle of Tuberose Gardenia from EsteΓ© Lauder). Linear, but doesn't need anything fancy. I wear it when I want to smell like springtime.
Eau Rose EDT - As many others have praised, it's a great photorealistic rose that includes the stem as well as the flower. Rose isn't my preferred fragrance, but I do wear this around the house in evenings sometimes.
Tam Dao EDP (decant) - Like pressing your nose to the inside lid of a vintage wooden box that maybe once held somebody else's perfume. Rich and unusual--and unfortunately fleeting.
Eau de Lierre EDP (decant) - I was so attracted to descriptions of ivy after rain, of photorealistic gardens and dusty wood. But on my skin, for some reason, it turns too sweet. It smells transparent and juicy and almost minty, like the scent that fills your mouth on the first chew of refreshing gum. There's this note of artificial sweetener that lingers almost like watermelon once I'm done inhaling.
Eau Capitale EDT (decant) - Within moments of opening this godforsaken little sample bottle I spilled the entire thing on my sweatshirt.
SNIF (samples)
Poppy Issues - Like yellow petals and salt rubbed into suede--like maybe a floral hand lotion spilled inside a leather purse and I tried my best to wipe it away. Like the inside of a wooden armoire stacked with vintage accessories and a few forgotten sachets. Like the city when golden hour drops to dusk. It's haunting me and I'm this close to getting a full size.
Sweet Ash - Like rummaging through an Abercrombie & Fitch sale section in 2007

Rarity tools is a fantastic website for finding new mints, as well as underpriced rares. When it comes to upcoming projects, you're able to see which projects will be released and also links to all their social platforms so you're able to do some research on whether this project may do well. It may also give you the chance to get involved in any whitelists opportunities that may still be available. It's also great for finding underpriced rares in a collection; pick the group you are interested in. In addition, users can set the filter to buy now, and rarity will populate the site with an ordered list of purchasable NFTs from the collection with their prices. Find your price range, and you might find a nice deal.

This is where everyone talks about projects they like, dislike, what theyβre buying, holding, and selling. In this case, users can create lists to organize common topics and branch out. Also, users can see who interacts with who and proceed from there. Finally, you can engage in Twitter spaces to see what the people you follow are thinking in live time.
