I'm looking for a good tv that supports any of those features but Sony tvs are too expensive for me and other tvs with Chromecast built-in are cheaper brands :/

I created a video where I tried to implement the paper The Lottery Ticket Hypothesis: Finding Sparse, Trainable Neural Networks "from scratch". I made a lot of simplifications in order to fit everything in a single video (e.g. only working with the multilayer perceptron and using the MNIST dataset). I also ran a couple of experiments to see whether I could get similar results to what the paper presented. The video also contains a quick tutorial on pruning in PyTorch. Lastly, the video includes chapters so that it is easier to navigate.

I'm using xdg-desktop-portal and xdg-desktop-portal-wlr to try to do screencasting with WebRTC (tried Firefox and Chromium with the corresponding flag set).
I saw in the systemd-journal that everytime I try to start a screencast xdg-desktop-portal crashes with a segfault:

I was watching TV today in the living room while eating breakfast, minding my own business. Apparently they didn’t like that and wanted the room and the TV to themselves. So they sat down and pretended they were watching with me. They know it makes me uncomfortable. They know I avoid them and don’t want them near me. They don’t care about my boundaries and have done this before.
So I started to leave but before I did, I screencast my phone to the TV and put on a gay orgy video. Needless to say, they were very uncomfortable (mainly because they’re homophobic too. Shocker.) They quickly changed the input to cable. I got a good laugh as I went back to my room. But at least now I know I can weaponize gay porn as I please. Thank you gay gods 🌈
I've been relistening to Screencast from the beginning lately which has been really fun to revisit reviews and hear news stories about things that have come and go, like the Invincible show. But Nick! You jinxed us! I'm on mobile so I can't format but in various episodes Nick has said things like "Well [2020] will be the worst year ever", or "Eventually we'll all just be wearing masks all the time", and a funny one was "Just give me Game of Thrones season 8. It's going to be amazing, it's already a foregone conclusion." That one was funny to hear. I'm just making this post in jest, I just thought it was all pretty funny to hear in hindsight.
My latest generation Chromecast will not show up when I select the cast icon in the upper left corner of the Oculus app? Is there a weird setting I need to do on the headset itself ? Bluetooth Wi-Fi all enabled and same network etc.

I created a video where I tried to implement the paper The Sensory Neuron as a Transformer: Permutation-Invariant Neural Networks for Reinforcement Learning "from scratch". It is very much based on the official code, however, I introduced multiple modifications and simplifications to be able to fit it in a single YouTube video. Most notably, it only focuses on the CartPoleSwingUp environment. Lastly, I ran a couple of experiments to test the permutation invariance and robustness to noise.

org.freedesktop.portal.ScreenCast got renamed to org.freedesktop.impl.portal.ScreenCast with the new xdg-desktop-portal-gnome package and now screensharing is not working in Gnome with Wayland.
I have no idea how to fix this, or if it is even possible. Can someone help?

I'm running a specific video stream rtsp setup and I need to broadcast my screen over it. It gives me option to choose between my available cameras and I'm thinking is there an option or an app which allows me to set up my screen as a virtual camera? Like obs does in windows.
I've tried larix screencaster but the quality is not great and I need it to run in my specific streaming app.

My girlfriend is working on her bachelor thesis in library science. The subject of her thesis is the information offer from libraries with historical collections, specificly a screencast from the ZLB (Zentral- und Landesbibliothek Berlin). The screencast is about 25 min (speed is adjustable) and teaches about the basics of genealogical research in Berlin.
The video is in German! It is an unoffical/draft version. It is planned to create a version with subtitles for english speaking people.
For the evaluation she created a poll that takes about 10 min.

Hope this is the right place to ask this, but I've recently joined a tech startup and I'm going to be producing knowledge base content for them - mostly written, but with accompanying short UI videos.
I have a lot of experience with your general linear video editing apps (Premiere Pro, Final Cut) but the only thing I've used specifically for screencasts and video tutorials/walkthroughs is Camtasia. It was pretty good, but it felt quite outdated back in 2015 when I was using it daily so I'm wondering if anyone's come in and owned that market with a really good app.
What was useful in Camtasia (vs Premiere Pro etc) was drag & drop functionality for zooming in/out on focus areas, mouse-click and keyboard shortcut animations etc.
Any recommendations are welcome for paid or free apps. I really want our support guides to look super slick and be easy to follow. Thanks in advance

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro (128GB). Since there is not much space in it, I was wondering if there is a way for me to screencast or mirror my phone(I do not have an iPhone) and watch movies on it. I have downloaded some movies in streaming apps like Netflix amazon prime etc, and I will be without the internet for a few days. So I was wondering if there is a way I can watch these movies on my MacBook.
I couldn't find any extensions in chrome to do this. Since there are stuff like pushbullet I was hoping for something similar.
I am a fan of the quality of his videos.

Hi, i installed Lineage 18 To Galaxy S5 but screencast is not finding the TV but on S4 mini it works. Phone is not rooted. Is it possible to get it working on Lineage 18 or some older version support S5?

The title says it all. When using OBS Studio on Wayland, I select the screen I want to capture, and it ends up not capturing it and returning that error in the terminal. I've reinstalled the xdg portal, and tried everything. Nothing works.

Whether it’s Dave, Ted Lasso, Superman and Lois, Central Park, Bad Batch, Succession, Hacks, Mare of Easttown, or any of the other cool shows and movies coming out soon that aren’t a part of an established in-review series yet, the content is just flowing and I’d love to hear the gangs thoughts on them more than just a quick mention every now and then. I just miss it so much! What are some shows you’d love to hear discussed?
