Forget about the drivel from Nachalo that Fakerina was "Tatiana Petrova". Red and Dembe AND Red and Dom refer to her as "Katarina" in private. She calls herself Katarina Rostova. She never try to prove she was not Katarina, when she had access to Liz and Dom, easiest DNA way to prove it. Simply take them to Townsend and have them run DNA test to prove she was not related to the father, or daughter, of "Katarina Rostova".
Fakerina had the longest arc, and two episodes titled Katarina Rostova. She WAS Katarina Rostova. BUT was she the ONLY Katarina Rostova? Was she the Katarina Rostova remembered by Kate in Requiem, the one who raised Liz until she was left with Sam?
I do not think so. Because Ms. Verbeek, a left hand dominant person, acted SOME scenes as a right hand dominant.

So, we have to consider that Ms. Verbeek is playing not one character, but two, as young women. Mirror twins. Separated very young, one growing up in Russia with Dom, one in America with Lena. Right handed (RH) Katarina in Russia and left handed (LH) Katarina in America. It is possible that the character I call Fakerina, that others call Blond Katarina, is RH Katarina. She is certainly right handed, spoke to Liz about growing up in Russia, giving up her child so that she would not be subjected to the things she had to do, and made no effort to prove she was not Katarina Rostova, not her mother, or Dom's daughter.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. It would be awesome if the Naval Junta, Quebec, Mexico and District 8 turned Canada would band together by focus if they agreed to destroy the power monopoly of ARC and Central once and for all, by or before the Final War starts.
The Silk Path and UN Remnants would also probably join in. The AMA coalition would not entirely cooperative within however...
It would also be interesting to see the results of a war in this case

Quebec takes the other side of the Saint Lawrence off District 3, likely extending further into Nova Scotia. They would drive for better relations with Canada and the resurgent USA in hope of restoring the long-past status quo.
Canada takes all former territories along the 49th parallel, and taking Ontario from District 5. Much of Alaska would also be taken, except Anchorage which would be given to the US Naval Junta. Lastly, Canada and the new USA would trade the Atlantic territories around, with Canada getting almost all of it back except for permanent US naval basing rights and remaining port territories, namely Halifax.
The Naval Junta would rename itself back to the United States of America. They would control almost all the East Coast with a navy modernized to 23rd century standards. However, due to their naval focus, inland they would have growingly less control...
Mexico would take back Baja California off District 1, and take parts of former New Mexico. Reintegration would be difficult
The Silk Path would take more of the west coast, with muted relations with the other coalition members, they would declare the war on the past has been won somewhat.
The Central government would collapse completely and the interior heartland would likely descend back into warlordism...
The massive supercorp of ARC would be destroyed under US "trust-busting" and scattered into numerous smaller companies heavily supervised by the Federal government. The companies would lose most or all political power.
The United Nations would heavily dispute with the USA in all matters but would be forced to cooperate due to the extreme societal breakdown on the east coast needing to be put somewhat back together, and outside dangers such as further inland.
What do you think would happen if Central and ARC won out instead and how good is this idea in any case? Do reply.

From the first episode we hear what Liz had been told about her parents:

So, not a dead father and a mother who hid, which SEEMS to be the apparent narrative, but a criminal father who abandoned her and is alive, and a mother who abandoned her as well, and who is dead by her own hand.
So, that was that all about "Mother" until 2015, in season 2, when Liz found a photo of a blond woman in a swing with her, and believed this woman to be her mother, which sent her into a frenzy of investigating.

She enhances the photo, and runs it against facial databases finding nothing:

What manifests this caginess? Red's use of Katarina's entire name "Katarina Rostova", a very unnatural usage, while sometimes he uses "your mother".
But is especially notable when Liz's question is about her "mother", and Red answers with "Katarina Rostova". More on that later.
Red does not do this with Dembe, Dom, or Ilya. Only with Liz, although he is secretive to an extent with the fake Inspector Oban, the Illusionist, as well.
