A list of puns related to "Sanford Arms"
Does anyone know if these are achived anywhere?
I made a post on all 32 subs for all 32 teams trying to gather a little intel to make this post. I asked 4 questions and looked at the overall themes of responses and put together a bit of a comprehensive fan wish-list for early Trade Deadline thoughts. Iβm going to circle back closer to deadline to see how much these expectations/wants have or will change. A special thanks to all the subreddits who participated - I got a slew of great responses, some DMs thanking me, and a couple bits of hate. Special shout outs to
I have separated the teams into 4 categories - Sell, Buy, Stay, and Buy-if with buy if being a lot of teams feeling that they will stand pat unless certain deals with very particular circumstances come out.
The 4 questions were

In order to abolish slavery, the United States ultimately had to fight a war. Peaceful abolitionists who called for gradual abolition were still attacked. Congressβ initial attempts at compromises between abolitionists and pro-slavery factions, such as the Compromise Act of 1850 and the creation of the 36β²30 line, not only did not prevent war, but indeed may have accelerated the outbreak of war. And even with those concessions, the Supreme Court only benefited slaveowners with their judgments in cases like Dred Scott v. Sanford, severely derailing the abolitionist cause. To the Southern states, slavery was a way of life, an integral part of theirΒ βcultureβ, which the Ghiscari elite in Meereen claim as well. To defendΒ βtheir way of lifeβ, the Southern states were willing to fight a war. They did not want gradual abolition of slavery, they did not care aboutΒ βpeacefulβ methods of abolishing slavery, and they did not concede to compromises or deals. For them, it was either a full allowance of slavery or nothing at all. This is thus why the civil war broke out; slavery would not have been abolished if the Southern states were not cowed by force and forcefully brought back into the Union.
Haiti
Haiti is widely known as the first country to ever abolish slavery in all its forms. Did they accomplish this peacefully? No, they accomplished this by fighting a bloody war against France. The Haitian Revolution was not a flowery show of negotiation, peace, and compromise.
Britain
Britain is hilariously cited as an example of a country thatΒ βpeacefullyβ andΒ βunilaterallyβ abolished slavery. . While it is true that Britishers did not fight a civil war amongst themselves to abolish slavery as the Americans did, it is entirely incorrect to say that the process was peaceful. Firstly, what is erased in this narrative is that there were slave rebellions and slave revolutions in Britainβs colonies. One of the most famous examples of this is the Baptist War of 1831, which took place in Jamaica after the Jamaican people began a peaceful protest against slavery which escalated to an armed conflict (that the colonial officials and garrisons put down). This incident among others led the Parliament to take steps to pass the Slavery Abolition Act of 1833. So no, Parliament did not abolish slavery because abolitionistsΒ βasked nicely." Moreover, even after the passing of the 1833 Act, slaveowners were still compensated for thei

I guess my left thigh got numb from sitting too long or something but HOLY SHIT did I stop walking and correct my walk to regular, lol.
Has this happened to anyone else yet? You find yourself doing an "old man type walk" and have to correct yourself?
PsychoMarket Recap - Tuesday, January 11, 2022
After one of the wildest days Iβve experienced in the market, stocks carried on yesterdayβs momentum, with all three major indexes advancing as market participants digested new testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
Markets Today
During his confirmation hearing before Congress, Powell said the US economy was healthy enough to support a reduction in the accommodative monetary policy that has propped up the markets for the last two years. This means putting an end to quantitative easing and raising the interest rate.
He said, βAs we move through this year β¦ if things develop as expected, weβll be normalizing policy, meaning weβre going to end our asset purchases in March, meaning weβll be raising rates over the course of the year. At some point perhaps later this year we will start to allow the balance sheet to run off, and thatβs just the road to normalizing policy.β
Powell reiterated that the Central Bank was prepared to act if the pace of inflation does not begin to moderate in the coming months. He said, βIf we see inflation persisting at high levels, longer than expected, if we have to raise interest rates more over time, then we will.β
Powell said the moves are in response to an economy with a strong labor market, with an unemployment rate of 3.9% in December, but elevated inflation. Powell said, βWhat that [the unemployment rate coupled with elevated inflation] is really telling us is that the economy no longer needs or wants the very highly accommodative policies that weβve had in place to deal with the pandemic and its aftermath. Weβre really just going to be moving over the course of this year to a policy that is closer to normal. But itβs a long road to normal from where we are.β
The Fedβs most potent tool remains interest rates, which the central bank has pinned to zero since the depths of the pandemic. Raising interest rates could address higher demand by making it more expensive to borrow. However, higher borrowing costs would not do much to address supply-side constraints and shipping bottlenecks that are greatly contributing to the rise in prices. Pow

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
The doctor says it terminal.

How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Mathematical puns makes me number
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
