A list of puns related to "Samsung Internet"
Maybe nitpicking but I wish the app was deeper
Caveat: The style is more oled than the eye-friendly grey still present in non-beta.
Other browsers do this but arguably don't have the full suite of features e.g
Video assistant (handy control interface which overrides default) Scroll to top/bottom Side scroll bar (left or right) Bookmark bar Tabs bar Address bar at bottom Quality reader mode Pinch to zoom Customisable menu Tracker blocker Backwards redirect block Adguard add-on with custom filters and dead space management To name but a few (..phew)
I've missed having this on my P30 (broke my FE) so it's a welcome addition.
Honorable mentions that do this are
Firefox with dark reader but it is slow Soul but it flashes white on scroll to top & makes the keyboard glitchy Power browser but the dark mode looks bleached and adblocking is unreliable Via but the browser has a few areas for improvement Bromite dark mode looks not that great
Vivaldi looks close to implementing this (probably on Snapshot initially) Brave has a manual toggle buried in settings.
Edge is like "nah"
Anyway thought I'd give a heads up for anyone looking for this feature as keenly as I was.
What things does it have that apps like Chrome doesn't?
Perhaps it is too soon or too speculative to make this connection, but it seems like Cardano has a perfect plan for its entrance into Africa. It seems very possible that Cardano's potential partnerships could end up being deals with Samsung for budget-device integration, Dish Network to assist with connectivity infrastructure, and WorldMobile for on-the-ground deployment seems destined to catapult Cardano's blockchain to the forefront of sub-Saharan life. I recognize there have been very few announcements regarding partnerships with Samsung and Dish, but does anyone else see this as being the end-goal for Cardano's Africa plan?
Disclaimer: Details regarding the partnerships mentioned above have not been announced and are only speculations.
Have a Samsung smart TVs with ads that were annoying as hell. Found out they can be blocked and tried it. It worked!
I have noticed after removing Google Chrome and installing Samsung Internet that the battery life is much better is that some kind of optimisation only for S21 because I really want to use Google Chrome but it drains my battery a lot
I have been using Tracker Control for a couple days now and for some reason it never finds Samsung Internet to block trackers.
Does anyone know why that is? It finds Edge and blacks theor trackers fine, but for some reason not Samsung Internet.
What do I need to do to get Tracker Control to see this app?
Am I missing something? How has this been going on for so long?
I've seen some posts saying that I can simply add my Firefox account on my Galaxy device via Settings - Accounts and backup - Manage accounts - Add accounts but my Firefox account doesn't appear there.
What things in Samsung internet do you really really like and find useful that other browsers don't do, and what do those features do
If any other things in mobile browers you really really like and find useful that other browsers don't do, - or do better, can just add with what do those features do
Here's a few things said so far of mobile:
Good useful things on mobile
Someone on internet said

Any mobile browsers has good easy switching between tabs? How it works in that browser?

Semi useful things
Good useful for poor people
>Opera Mini for data compression, when on limited data plan or with poor signal. -niutech
Would Assume all mobile browers would have this especially widely used ones ?
Trivial minor things

Chrome can change how tab icon looks
Someone said dark mode was best on samsung internet, they didn't explain why yet

if you check on the google play store of the watch and click on apps on your phone it should say that Samsung internet is available to download!
(At least in my country, the Netherlands. But if it isn't yet in your country please comment so i can update the post)
>It seems that some cannot find it in many countries
As title says the Internet is slow. I've done everything recommended such as restarting phone, factory reset but the only thing I can find that works is putting a vpn on seems to speed up the Internet. This is on all WiFi signals and not data. Any suggestions what the issue may be please let me know.
For making absolute reference in spreadsheet you need to use F4 to change the reference from relative to absolute. However in Samsung internet F4 binds with a shortcut to go to address bar. It doesn't seem that the shortcuts are configurable. Does anyone know any workaround to change reference type in google sheets, other than manually entering the dollar signs every time?
Is anyone else having any trouble with the New Tab Ctrl + T Keyboard Shortcut in Samsung Internet Browser?
For some reason, I cannot get it to work at all - every other keyboard shortcut seems to work fine including Ctrl + W to close a tab, Ctrl + L to address bar... but not Ctrl + T. I've tried with both regular browser as well as the Beta with the same issue.
Bafflingly the Ctrl + T shortcut seems to work fine in Chrome so I cannot figure out what's wrong! Using a Z Fold 2.
I opened Samsung Internet after the latest update and saw a cool feature where you could save a website as a web app, I could only see it once tho, is it a new feature? How do I access it?
Anyone noticing there is an increased battery drain on Version 16 of Samsung Internet? I am also on OneUI4
Can it block that app?

... keep reading on reddit β‘I am a FF Android user. I use dark mode for webpages always. There is an Add on (Dark Reader) for that.
Recently I used Samsung Internet browser on my Android phone. It is a good browser but of course I am not switching from FF. One thing I noticed is that dark mode in Samsung Internet is the best I have seen. It is so precise and colour accurate that there are no faded letters, every single word/image is crisp and clear with dark mode on.
I noticed that the dark reader add on for FF allows me to change colour profile. Does anyone know what colour profile they use for dark mode in Samsung Internet? So that I can use the same in Dark reader add on. Thank you
