A fine-tuned ruleset in place and reasonable settings lets you play knowing that your hard work won't be wiped while you're leading your busy lives. We also have never and will never wipe - this can be a place to call home for the long haul. With structure and dino decay in place, there's always more room for new players.
We boast a unique rotating wipe dynamic as of 11/01/2019. Once every 10 weeks one of the core maps will wipe and will be survivor only transfer for 8 weeks. This allows players that want the thrill of that initial rush of a wiped map to get what they want. This will also allow you to carry on your progress as time goes on for those who want to strong breeding lines and to accomplish all of the ascensions. For added fun at each wipe cycle we will have an event map that will only be available for that particular cycle. This map may have additional mods or an event that the map is themed around. Salamandastron is a PvPvE server, where we focus on an equal balance of PvP and PvE. A fine-tuned ruleset in place and reasonable settings lets you play knowing that your hard work won't be wiped while you're leading your busy lives. We also have never and will never wipe - this can be a place to call home for the long haul. With structure and dino decay in place, there's always more room for new players.
We are introducing a new rotating wipe dynamic as of 11/01/2019. Once every 10 weeks one of the core maps will wipe and will be survivor only transfer for 8 weeks. This allows players that want the thrill of that initial rush of a wiped map to get what they want. This will also allow you to carry on your progress as time goes on for those who want to strong breeding lines and to accomplish all of the ascensions. For added fun at each wipe cycle we will have an event map that will only be available for that particular cycle. This map may have additional mods or an event that the map is themed around. Our many tribes reflect the range of playstyles. We have fortresses, castles, log cabins, and everything in between. ORPE and passive protect can keep you safe, as we all know how important life outside of the game is. PvP still happens, but it isn't the focus of our community. Salamandastron is what we like to call a PvPvE server. Our members love the constant, looming thrill of the threat to their bases. What we don't like is the inevitable constant attention and time that true hardcore PvP takes. We're adults here. We have work. School. Lives.
But we love to play.
That's why our community has grown together to form this hard fought and well-defended, balanced server, while maintaining a vanilla experience. Quality of life is important. Our time is important.
