I was at the game on Saturday, and we got downtown a couple hours early to eat, but every place we tried to get into was full capacity (also tried to book resos a couple days in advance to no avail). Atlas, match, and anything within Rogers is still closed, so we decided we would try our luck with a super affordable $26 smash burger and beer combo at the concession. The picture had a cool charred oilers logo on the bun and I’ve been digging the whole smash burger craze around town. If the picture was Connor McDavid, the actual burger was Tyler Benson (sorry about the shade Tyler!). To start, instead of having the oilers logo charred on the bun, it looked like somebody had try to apply a temporary tattoo, by taking a seat on my burger. I don’t really care what a burger looks like, but still decided to take a peak under the hood. The bun was cold and also surprisingly stale, and burger was topped with a puddle of soupy mayo with a few chopped onions swimming around. That was it for toppings, apart from a slice of processed cheese. The patty itself was straight up false advertising, the actual meat tasted like something from the Walmart frozen discount bin, and the patty had the likeness and rigidity of a hockey puck.
This is pretty harsh criticism of concession food I know, and I will probably get a lot of comments like, “well what do you expect to get..”, but this is also a PSA for anyone else going to a game this year. I’m pretty sure when Rogers opened they had fancy chefs curate a menu of food for the concession that was supposed to blow people away.. what happened to that? I would pay a fortune or at least double the price of one of those burger to watch Daryl Katz attempt to scarf one down.
I'm probably just ranting because of the $150 hole in my pocket from the food along with a few 13$ beers and 20$ highball drinks, but c’mon oilers do better… Safe to say I will be booking my resos weeks in advance of the next game elsewhere..

My spouse and I are looking to relocate to Bentonville to be closer to work, but all of the websites for apartments and townhomes in the area closer to NWACC have a one pet limit. I'm looking for something 1200 or less a month. Advice?
As many of you will know, at the start of the season Rogers Place had a new bag policy meaning all bags/purses larger than 5"x6" were not allowed, basically anything wallet-sized and smaller only.
As of tonight, they've gone back to the size limits from last season, which were 12"x12"x6". Anything smaller than that is okay, but still very large purses, bags, and backpacks are not allowed.
However, do not get all excited and start bringing larger bags and purses again. It may be in your best interests to still not bring any bag at all, because shortly they will be receiving X-ray machines and will be X-raying all bags that enter the building (NHL mandate). As far as I've heard, there will only be one (1) x-ray machine at each entrance, and anyone with a bag/purse of any kind will all have to go through the one line up that has the x-ray machine.
I don't know when the x-ray machines will be arriving, but it'll be much faster to not bring a bag and avoid that lineup.
I’d like to get my father in law hockey tickets for Christmas. He has a bad knee and hobbles around. It’s not so bad that he requires an aide, but I know he’ll push it more than he should.
Does anyone have any hot tips on areas / sections / rows that require the least amount of stairs?

I’m 18 years old and bought tickets for myself and a buddy for the Preds game this Friday. We’re both 18 so we aren’t old enough to have credit cards so I was wondering if any of the parking lots within a 10 minute walk of the arena accept coins or a debit card?
When I used to go to games with my dad we parked in a lot near the Main Street-Science World station. But I know he paid with a credit card.

Hello! I’m from Calgary here and just wondering if the food/drinks prices at the Rogers Place are the same or if its cheaper for the Edmonton Oil Kings game. It’s cheaper here in Calgary during the Hitmen games compared to during a Flames game.. (last time I went it was but this was in 2019) not sure if its changed. I am planning a corporate event and cant seem to find pricing for budgeting reasons. Thanks in advance!
