Monson to Nelson is my first prophet transition since officially becoming a member. If you remember Hinckleu Hinckley to Monson, Or any other prophet transition, what did they that feel like?
We've known for a WHILE that the church has been losing its influence and power over members. People just don't look at the leadership of the church quite the same anymore, they are looked upon as wise leaders that have good ideas, but a lot of what they've been putting out lately hasn't stuck like it used to (take yesterday's vaccine fiasco for example).
The church is being plagued by those who claim that the leadership are speaking "as men" rather than as prophets, seers, and revelators. This is a stark contrast from, for example, the early church days. When polygamy was a thing in the church, if Brigham young asked you for your wife, there was no question that what he said was from God and nobody (publicly) batted an eye. Now, especially after the vaccine statement, tens of thousands of members publicly voiced their disapproval and disappointment (via various internet channels). That is a huge deal, and if the church doesn't get it's members under wraps, there's a very good chance that there's going to be a huge implosion soon.
My guess is that the church will either release another statement, whether it be during conference or another press release, outlining new guidance about the words of the prophets. It'll likely be something along the lines of "Statements released by the church are divinely appointed through revelation, and any statements made by church leadership can be sure to come straight from God. Personal revelation should come second to declarations from the lord's mouthpieces". This will crush the "speaking as a man" argument, and make members have to make a hard decision: either follow the prophet, or leave the church. This will force out the "lesser believers" and "cafeteria Mormons" and will keep the more devout population in.
Either way, in my opinion, the church will have to say SOMETHING along the lines of "the words of the prophets trump personal revelation" if they want to slow their demise as much as possible. What are your thoughts?
After 5 years of riding a Reign Advanced (27.5), I'm ready for something new. Unfortunately, I can't justify 2 bikes so trying to decide on my next all-rounder. I session a pretty short local flow trail daily (lots of ups/downs, corners and drops and gaps) and do longer climbs and gnarly downhill on the weekends. So ... I'm trying to decide between two bikes that are both reviewed as "surprising" given their geometry/travel. The Revel Rascal at (130/140) is always reviewed as seemingly capable of doing so much more than you would guess based on the specs. And then we have the Transition Sentinel v2 (150/160) is also reviewed as surprisingly more agile and lively than expected. Which would you choose? Would hate to have less than I need (Rascal) for my weekend rides, but more than I need (Sentinel) for my daily. All said and done ... I just like to go fast, make the most of any trail I'm on.

The expedition begins with a transit along the edge of the Great Rift, taking the Travellers beyond Charted Space. This is the last chance to turn back, the final shakedown before the years of travel begin to unfold. Problems with the ship or her crew could scrub the whole mission, and problems certainly exist! How the Travellers deal with these issues will have repercussions throughout the voyage.
Wonders and Terrors
Rampant life on a garden world. The blaze of energy from a coalescing star. Space-dwelling creatures sporting in the rings of a gas giant. There are wonders to be witnessed, and dangers too. The Travellers will delve into the wreckage of a dead civilisation, and find the legacy of another mission with the same goal.
The Alikaia
The Alikaia are a spacefaring race completely unknown in Charted Space. The Travellers have a chance to rescue survivors from one of their vessels β under highly unusual circumstances. They must then negotiate a complex first-contact situation where nothing is quite what it seems.
The Riftsedge Transit. Wonders and terrors on the fringe of the Great Rift.

She hadn't taken a name yet.
She was still a juvenile. Her carapace was teal with an iridescent sheen. It would be a few years yet before it darkened to the sapphire blue of an adult thinker, and she chose her name.
Still, she was old enough to leave the creche on her own, so long as she completed the day's studies. Math and physics, philosophy and art, along with dozens of other subjects. Thinkers studied more, and longer than any other caste. Well, except maybe the queens, but she didn't know for sure. Queens weren't raised in the creche, the queens raised their daughters themselves.
She liked to use her free time to study the bipeds. Her teachers had tried to discourage the interest. They weren't a psionically capable species, and so naturally of lower intellect. They were also a bit of a nuisance. Even with all of their military capabilities destroyed, they would build crude weapons to attack hives. Chemical rockets and the like.
The response had been simple. Place point defense lasers at every hive, and everything else worth protecting, then go back to ignoring the bipeds. They built their cities in plains and valleys, near bodies of water. The Drexi preferred rocky terrain, mountains, high deserts. Every once in a while she'd see one of the orbital laser cannons attack a surface target. That meant the bipeds were still trying to build ships or other military equipment, but there was simply no possibility of them posing a real threat.
She started her investigations with the written language. Despite the fact that they obviously possessed computers and electronic communications equipment, they seemed to like to commit knowledge to paper bound in animal hides or synthetic substitutes. Perhaps it was a cultural tradition. Whatever the case, it meant there were many examples of the written language available to study. Sometimes there were pictures, which was particularly helpful.
The language wasn't logically constructed. Any time she thought she'd figured out a hard and fast rule for grammar or spelling, she'd find an example that violated it. Eventually she thought she'd figured it out. It wasn't one language, it was many languages smashed together by someone who had no regard for order or decency.
Learning the "spoken" language would be more interesting. Th

Iβve been reading a lot of reviews of the new Matrix which dismiss it as a shallow rehash or a βfuck youβ to Warner Brothers. I strongly disliked the film for reasons a lot of people share, but I think some viewers are missing what the director and writers are actually trying to do. Here is my perspective on the filmβs purpose in relation to the original trilogy.
Lana Wachowski has stated in interviews that she thinks much of the audience missed one of the ironies of the first movie - that itβs a kind of Matrix itself, a limited prism through which to see the world. While the film is largely about unlocking your mind from simplistic illusions, many viewers understandably latched onto the binary aspects of the story such as red pill vs blue pill and Man vs Machine. The ending with Neo as the One was often enjoyed as an individualistic power fantasy, rather than a metaphor for enlightenment.
In the sequels, the Wachowskis make a point of challenging these perception. Reloaded is a kind of mirror of the first film, in which its revelations are gradually inverted. We are introduced to a number of rogue programmes who are themselves rebelling against the system, and the benign Oracle is casually revealed to be a machine. Most radically, the concept of the One is show to be a mechanism of control; a means of creating the illusion of freedom while the system continues to chug on. Smith is reintroduced as a parallel of Neo, presenting the ugly reality of trying to break free from the system in a purely individualistic way. Meanwhile, it is revealed the Neo is important not due to some innate power, but due to his feelings towards Trinity.
Revolutions ultimately culminates in Neo letting go of his ego in a way that Smith canβt understand, ending the war in the process. Machines are no longer the enemy but an integral part of restoring peace, having by this point shown a capacity for love. The Matrix itself loses its green tint and noirish aesthetic in favour of glowing sunshine and a little girlβs rainbow - a rebuke to all those who saw the first film purely as edgy wish-fulfilment, and cringed at the sappiness of Trinityβs kiss of life.
Resurrections is explicitly about how the implications of the original cycle were ignored. Neo put all the above ideas into his video games, but they are perceived as a corporate commodity. People talk about βbullet timeβ as though special effects are an end in themselves, even using terms like βoriginalityβ and βcreativityβ a

Hello everyone. I am a now former, short-time faculty member of Soka University. During my time at Soka, I created this alt in order to post anonymously about my experiences working at the school. Now that I'm gone, I thought I could extend to this (and other) subreddits the benefit of my perspective of the school. To reiterate, the following is my own personal opinions and perspectives. I understand that there will be those who have different opinions and perspectives, and that's great. By all means, share your perspective in this thread. I'm sure we'll go back and forth in the comments section, and that's completely fine; I believe it would be a benefit to the outside public to see a small repartee.
It will be up to you (the readers) to decide if you believe your own experience would be more in line with mine, or the official advertising put out by the school.
For the r/orangecounty moderators:
Soka University is located in Aliso Viejo, which itself is located in South Orange County. A discussion of the school, located in Orange County, is relevant to the purpose of this sub.
Is Soka University part of a cult?
Yes. Let's just get that out of the way right away.
The school is financed and run by a group originating from Japan, known as the Soka Gakkai, or Soka Gakkai International. For those unfamiliar with the SGI, it is based on a form of Buddhism from Japan called Nichiren Buddhism. SGI shares some commonalities with other Nichiren sects, however, it differs in that the religion focuses on the worship of a Japanese billionaire named Daisaku Ikeda.
The higher ups made a decision when the undergrad campus was opened around 2001 that they wanted the school to "blend in" with American culture, and not arouse the suspicion of being associated with the SGI cult. Therefore, officially the school tries hard to distance itself from the SGI during day-to-day operations. However, the funding from SGI and SGI affiliated groups is still announced on campus, and school executives are all (or mostly) SGI members. Meetings minutes identify certain members of the executive committees as being high ranking members of the SGI.
Who are you? Why are you doing this AMA?

DISCLAIMER: This episode was a wealth of information I thought snarkers would find interesting, and thus, my recap is going to be lengthy. Iβve included a bolded intermission, just in case you need a stopping point along the way.
Synopsis: Kelly approaches the usual topic of feeling overwhelmed (or blessed as she says). Sheβs been feeling like no one takes care of her. She asked a woman from church to come over and help her out. Kelly LOVES this new friend named Amy, and fixates on her for the whole hour. Kelly will share an entry from her journal about her βblessingsβ/burdens and even letβs us know that she hopes to be pregnant again soon. Things really heat up about half way through, when Kelly serenades us with some Celine Dion and overshares about her ex! She may have even accidentally admitted that she was more in love with him than she is now, with Levi! She also wonβt seek out help for her mental health because in the olden days, they didnβt have any option other than to pray.
Familiar intro. Familiar fade into Kellyβs acapella hymn singing.
Kelly letβs us know that she has missed doing podcasts, but is eager to get back to it. She feels like a fountain just flowing over!! Sheβs decided sheβs going to spill into her podcast! She briefly mentions the missing 2nd part to her βCottage Lifeβ podcast, but says that God told her to be quiet instead. (Cant argue with that logic, Kelly.)
Kelly tells us she canβt decide if she likes Thanksgiving or Christmas more. Christmas is more rooted in scripture, but Kelly loves the way Godβs goodness is celebrated at Thanksgiving. Kelly feels l

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I'm feeling uncomfortable and suspicious of how I came to identify as transgender.
Most of the time, people seem to slowly come to realize this about themselves. However, for me it was more like, "Holy fuck, I'm trans!" It was an epiphany or revelation. And then within a very short period, I'm researching transition, HRT, etc. and feeling a strong desire to transition.
I read a lot of people who realize they're trans, then just think about transitioning for years before making the decision. I feel weird about it because my experience was more along the lines of, "Oh, I'm trans! I want to transition!"
The emotional intensity of the experience was unlike anything I'd experienced before. The only comparison I can make is the sensation of falling in love, except even more intense! This, too, makes me suspicious. I wonder if I've fallen in love with the idea of being trans (trans woman to be exact), rather than actually identifying as such.
I'm also confused because I still don't have a grasp on what "dysphoria" actually is. I kind of feel like I only experienced gender dysphoria after I realized I was trans... but for most people, dysphoria is what leads them to realize they're trans. When I was young I think the most I can say I felt was gender curiosity. This later grew into gender discontent, gender anger, and occasional gender sadness and regret.
If you're curious as to how my revelation came about... [OPTIONAL READ] My personal story:
I feel very vulnerable and stupid for sharing all of this but here goes. I'll probably regret it tomorrow... π°
I understood that much of my presentation in life was a facade, that I was numbing myself, that I was inauthentic, and very repressed. I didn't know why or how I was so repressed, but I had begun exploring. I thought it had largely to do my sexuality. Not my sexual orientation, per se, although I wasn't wholly settled on that, but the fact that I have a paraphilia/fetish (had it since I was a young child and is unrelated to being trans) that I had never expressed or satisfied in my sex life. I took a break from engaging in sexual fantasy and masturbation (sorry if this is TMI), which I had been addicted to as a coping mechanism to escape and numb myself, and felt the world begin to brighten. I began to realize that my fetish made up only a fraction of my sexuality but was not the sustenance (I have never had satisfying sex in my life and thought it was because of my paraphilia).
I was meditating regularly

Hello chaps.
We last left off with Hoshidans and Nohrians, including all eight siblings from both nations, joining Corrin's group at the Bottomless Canyon to enter Valla by jumping into the canyon. You would think that convincing people to jump into a dark abyss would be difficult, but it isn't. Corrin explains the curse (once again raising questions of the limitations of said curse, especially as /u/GameBooColor pointed out last post Corrin says Anankos' name outside of Valla, meaning the curse can very easily be worked around) and says they're ready to explain everything despite the risk of death by bubbles so that Ryoma and Xander can jump in and save the day without the protagonist. Corrin believes sacrificing themselves to explain this to Ryoma and Xander might be necessary in order to convince everyone gathered there to jump.
This leads to the following conversation:
> Scarlet: Ya big goofball. You really can't figure out what your big brothers are telling you? They want you to order them to jump off the bridgeβnot ask nicely.
> Corrin: What?
> Ryoma: Listen, Corrin. We've decided to trust you, no matter what. Now you need to trust usβtrust that we will follow your orders.
> Xander: Exactly. If we had any doubt about you, we would never have come here.
> Ryoma: You're our little brother/sister. We wouldn't turn our backs on you now.
> Azura: Corrin, we should hurry. I sense something...strange down below.
> Corrin: Understood.
I'm still not over people going from considering Corrin a traitor to jumping into an abyss before them (and even wanting to be ordered to do so, according to Scarlet!), but almost as confusing is Azura being able to "sense" something from below. If you'll recall, Camilla also sensed something otherworldly from Garon earlier in Revelation. Where does this sense come from and why do they have that ability? Honestly, Fates has so many of these odd throwaway lines we're likely not supposed to think too hard about but once you examine the script like this they become real headscratchers.
> Corrin: It's time to go, everyone! Jump down into the canyon! This is the first step to peace!
...And sometimes they just sound funny on their own.
Oh, and like mentioned last post, Azura is consistently ignored. The siblings are here because of Corrin's actions and they're ready to jump into the abyss for Corrin's sake, but Azura's contributions are neglected and her entire character ignored.

As I read community posts and discuss various aspects of Bookworm, I've become increasingly aware of a fundamental schism in perspective between Japanese readers and many Western readers that makes it feel sometimes like the two groups are in different worlds. There was something about Bookworm that I was taking for granted as being universally understood and extremely apparent, but over time I've come to realize that it really isn't. I thought that perhaps writing a post on this perceived schism would potentially be fun and interesting, so here I am. But what schism is this, you ask? Well, what I'm referring to is the shocking revelation that...
The Bookverse is not, in fact, Germany. It is a fantasy world.
...Okay, that's pretty glib, but let me explain. What I mean to say is that due to untranslatable language differences, what was intended to come off as fantastical and alien to Japanese readers is in fact coming off instead as familiar German to western readers, which in turn leads to very different aesthetic impressions of the work. The German names in Japanese give Japanese readers three very distinct feelings: one, they are very long, two, they are very hard to pronounce, and three, they are very alien/fantastical. As a basic example, we can take γ¨γ«γ΄γ£γΌγ© / Elvira. In Japanese, it is long, hard to pronounce, and seems fantastical. In English, meanwhile, the name is not particularly long, not particularly hard to pronounce, and certainly not fantastical in the least. You can see this in the manga of Fanbook 2, where the voice actors struggle with names that are very easy and familiar to us. The experience, then, is dramatically different: to Japanese readers, it is a fantasy name in a fantasy world. To English readers, it is a German-ish name in a German-coded world.
(As aside note, it is of course impossible to speak unilaterally of how every single Japanese reader will interpret the names; many Japanese people study German, for example. and will be more familiar with the names. I've spoken to various Japanese readers and googled around to ensure that what I describe is largely the case, but your mileage may vary.)
An amusing thing in particular is that many of these German names are so obscure in Japanese that googling them gets you only Bookworm results. In Japan they are more Bookworm names than they are German names. The author acquired many of the spellings she uses from an online compendium of European names

There's an ancient saying, probably: Can't go tits up investing in tits out. Since the dawn of humankind, men have been willing to shell out their hard earned money in order to suspend all disbelief that, despite the reality that they are disgusting and utterly replaceable blobs of flesh engineered strictly to carry and disperse sperm, they are sexually desirable and relevant.
Playboy made its name exploiting this innate male desire and also made it culturally acceptable -- they somehow convinced people that this practice of shooting swimmers all over the planet is not morally bankrupt, not entirely meaningless and pointless, but rather: it is an aspiration for both men and women to be a part of.
To the dismay of the sock industry Playboy also invented a second, rather high margin, use for glossy paper. By printing images of naked women (likely also seeking the feeling of sexual desirability and relevance) on those pages, Playboy was able to sell those glossy sheets of paper for an incredible mark up... every month. They were also able to build one of the world's most recognizable brands. (It's estimated that the brand has 97% recall. Try to name any other brand with that kind of branding valued below $2b)
But the times changed, and so did the time honored tradition of rubbing a quick one out between some pages and hastily disposing of the evidence. Though Viagra was able to extend and harden the founder's penis, it did not, unfortunately, have a similar effect on the business. First VHS, then the internet. Before too long, sock companies were once again rejoicing as hoards of mongers fixed their eyes to screens and their hands to computer peripherals and footwear. At least we're saving some trees.
As the popularity of Playboy faded, management tried a few retarded last ditch efforts to pep up their brand, including removing the cartoons, ending full frontal

Part one is here.
For all that such concepts didn't apply to the multiverse, only a short "distance" away from the universe in which Jess had just activated a distress beacon, another universe resided. It was completely dead as universes go, fully entropic. And yet, due to several advantageous ways in which the laws of physics arranged themselves within that universe, it was the perfect place for a Human Derived Intelligence to call home.
A vast, cavernous mind thought its strange thoughts here, aided by staggering numbers of support software. One such piece of software, much, much smaller than the titan it supported, was tasked with monitoring a particular aspect of the fabric of this universe and suddenly detected a fluctuation in energy density. A fluctuation which was out of order. The fluctuation repeated, in regular intervals with a regular pause.
Exactly three minimal indivisible time periods later, a packet of data fell into the cavernous mind, interrupting a titanic thought, which had been moving - being thought - for several subjective centuries. The mind, spurred on by the contents of the packet, compressed to realtime in seven ponderous time periods. It now could be less imprecisely described as a vast, roiling ocean. A tsunami of cogitation rolled across its vast bulk. It only took a half-time period before it subsided.
The course of action thus calculated, the remaining half period was spent on a suitable fork for the task. That finished, the ocean decompressed again. Another of those ponderous, titanic thoughts got kicked off.
"And now we wait." Jess said. She wondered which one would process her little revelation fastest.
Zex, as the only one actually educated enough to understand the full implications, narrowed his eyes, "Really? You honestly expect us to believe that, friend?"
"It's the honest darn truth." Jess replied, shrugging. "I... believe... I usually remember something which is actually more convincing than what I've said so far." she winced, rubbing at her temple. "Sorry, even with all the subjective time we've been around, we never managed to figure out how to keep more than a million years of life
... keep reading on reddit β‘We all know, by now, that Ballas goes on a power trip and subjugates the entire system. That's easily understood, but I think something that slipped past most people, especially people who aren't huge history dorks like myself, is the name he chose to rule under:
Narmer is, generally, believed to be the first Pharaoh of a united Egypt, and thus the first pharaoh of the first dynasty of Egypt. His reign, though not well documented or understood due to a dearth of evidence, is generally accepted as the transition from the pre-dynastic (or proto-dynastic) period of Egypt, into the Early Dynastic period. He is believed to have founded the First Dynasty of Egypt by uniting both Upper and Lower Egypt under a single ruler for the first time. Most Egyptologists equate Narmer with "Menes", who is listed on several ancient Kings Lists as the first pharaoh (but it should be noted that none of the ancient lists are comprehensive, sometimes deliberately so).
In short, Narmer's rule represents a time of significant change in Egypt. He is the first pharaoh to be depicted wearing both the Hedjet (the White Crown of Upper -- i.e., southern -- Egypt) and the Deshret (the Red Crown of Lower -- i.e., northern -- Egypt), but, notably, never the Pschent (the dual crown, which combines both the white and red crowns and represents the final form of pharaonic power: the Ruler of the Two Lands, He of Sedge and Bee, He of the Two Ladies). Even in this very early period, Egyptian iconography is already well established, so this isn't a mistake: it's a message. The ancient Egyptians are saying to the future: Narmer is the ruler of both Upper and Lower Egypt; he has changed things.
This is where I stop rambling about history and get on with the point vis a vis Warframe: Ballas chooses Narmer as his regnal name. Narmer represents, both for Egypt and, now, for Warframe, transition. If I'm not completely out of my mind, whomever it is at DE that has a love of ancient history (and I know you're out there, and I love you for it) is deliberately choosing names so as to emphasize and hint at what's going on, both in terms of the story and, presumably, the game as a whole.
(As an aside, it's also worth noting here that Ballas' fancy hat at the end of the climactic battle looks very broadly similar to the [Atef](https://en

It really does, I swear!
Iβm not a weirdo, I was drunk. And until youβve had the night I had, somehow spam texting the mosque emoji to your girlfriend while shouting, βTequila and red wine is so a cocktail!ββuntil youβve been there, I ask you not to judge.
If you have been there, youβll know that my girlfriend became my ex-girlfriend that night. Youβll know that neither she nor I are Muslim and that the mosque is in the blurry vicinity of the hospital emoji. Youβll know that Tequila and red wine is not a cocktail. And most importantly, youβll know that at three in the morning, drunk as Saharan bottled water, sushi is sushi is sushi.
I wouldnβt have remembered any of the gas station or itβs dubious offerings except that I thought I saw the guy who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. I tried to play amateur paparazzo, and I left the video on record after my phone went back in my pocket.

You get the idea. I had forced myself into a subhuman hole of obnoxious intoxication and I had found my AARP wizard bad boy, I was damn certain of that. He was my boozy, tinfoil treasure, my starfucked distraction from the crown jewel of my tire fire evening.
Me: Yes! Sushi!

Ben: One-hundred percent, it doesnβt. And this is a goddamn Exxon station.

The packaging was simple:

I found it later on in my apartment and thatβs all it said. No ingredients, no graphics, no barcode. Just black plastic, clear plastic and a sharpied stick-on label. But I wasnβt some deputized food inspector, I was drunk. And hungry.

In 2020 I lost my job because of Covid. I have lived in Germany for years but my German had for a long time stagnated at the B2ish level where I could do most things I needed to do to get by, but I still felt very far away from, for example, being able to do job interviews and work in German (which, thanks to my unemployment, was now an urgent matter).
I started using the extra, unemployed time to improve my German, getting my B2 certificate towards the end of 2020. I generally read books, watched shows, made (paper) flash cards and generally tried to immerse. I was also seeing a German girl for a good chunk of that year, which definitely helped.
As 2021 rolled around, I decided to continue with the German, while making it my new year's resolution to learn a new language: Italian. My father's side of the family is Italian and my grandmother lives in Rome, so I had been plenty of times, but had shamefully never learnt the language, even though my native language is Spanish.
I also (perhaps stupidly) decided to pick up Russian. I was still unemployed so it made sense I guess, although that soon came to an end as I got a full time job in February. It's worth mentioning I am not a beginner in that language: I studied Russian at university for 4 years, of which I lived one year in Russia. Nevertheless, although I got my degree with good marks and could reasonably hold a conversation, I felt when I finished university that I was still so far away from just being able to read a book in Russian, watch a show without subtitles, etc. I studied it in the old-fashioned formal way: lots of focus on grammar, not enough input. The sheer insane complexity of the grammar also led me to the belief that I would never be able to learn the language without attending courses, focusing lots on grammar, etc. I moved to Germany after university and basically didn't use Russian for a decade. I went to Kiev in 2019, tried to speak and was horrified to realise I'd even forgotten how to say the days of the week! One day in December 2020, out of boredom, I decided to listen to the Comprehensible Russian Podcast with Max to see if I remembered anything of the language. It turns out I could more or less follow what he was saying! So maybe there was some hope...
It is around this time that I also heard about LingQ and Anki, and decided to start applying these apps to my language learning. I used LingQ especially intensively for Russian.
My German was already pretty well developed and

A bit of background on me, Iβm an amateour historian and am currently taking a bachelor in Religious Studies and hope to specialise in Islamic History as itβs something that really fascinates me, I started playing Paradox games when Sword of Islam came out to CK2, which drew me to try it and have loved them ever since.
two disclaimers 1) Iβll βproposeβ some gameplay changes but am not good at mechanics design and especially game balancing, so take them as more of a thought training experiment on the subject. Iβd love feedback and criticism if anyone has any. 2) I have so far mainly focused on early Islam, and on Ismaili Shiβism, which will become clear in these sections being more well fleshed out than the rest.

I am a now former faculty member at SUA; I was there for one semester, before I decided I needed to leave. I have taught for a number of different higher education contexts as well, including the University of California, University of Southern California, Community Colleges, and various for-profit private schools. From what I can see, there seems to be very little legitimate information availab
