A list of puns related to "Retrogaming"
When a new game comes out, the community waits a bit before dumping+sharing the rom, both as a courtesy and to be sure future game development isn't discouraged. Rightfully so.
I've never really noticed the specific length of time though. I usually just follow along via YouTube videos then circle back to games I'd like to play years down the road.
However, Paprium has caught my eye a bit more than usual, and as I understand it's a bit more complicated than just a courtesy grace period. From what I've heard it uses a custom chip to provide extra sound channels for the music, and an attempt was made in the code to lock out playback on all but original hardware.
Any clues on what to expect regarding when a playable rom might show up?
Step 1 take your retro consoles nes snes ps2 and put them through hdmi (nintoaster)
Step 2 connect to big lcd 1080p/4k tv
Step 3 complain about how shitty the games are with their delayed controls
Step 4 complain that light guns dont work
Step 5 step on rake
Step 6 D'oh!
Is it worth getting? how does it compare to the other ones in the series? I should note I haven't really played the other ones in the series outside of the SNES one for like an hour, but I'm wanting to try and get more into the series.
Do you know if there is some dockered software, reachable via browser, for doing retrogaming? Question 2: retrogaming requires, yet, that you have the original rom? In othet world, is it illegal?
Hi all, Any sub-reddit, club, group, webpage ... or whatever to discover the retrogaming scene in Paris (France)? Many thanks
XBox Series Controller and retrogaming question
I want to ask you about yours experience with new XBox controller in retrogaming. I'm using only old X360 gamepad and have no clue about newer ones, but heard that there are some problems with DINPUT and emulators. Microsoftvs website gives no clear answers for what working in what way. So I'm asking you. Can I using XSX Controller with 2000' DINPUT games and emulators (not all supports XINPUT) ? It's working only with cable or Bluetooth is also supported (I mean in DINPUT mode)?
Thanks for help.

Advice to connoisseurs, is Apple TV 4K a good platform for retrogaming? I ask myself the question given that it is more powerful than an Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 but that it also has many limitations at the OS level.
