Hi sub.
I'm a white boy with dreads for over 15 years.
I'm occasionally approached by African people and people of color who give me bumps for the length and always call me rasta.
I'm hesitant to say anything back but I always acknowledge them and reciprocate the bump, chat or whatever.
I am not a religious person, having been put off Catholicism since I attended catholic primary and secondary schools.
I still believe in higher powers and respect the energy of the universe and everything exists in balance, but I would love to study more into raserfarianism.
I would love if someone could please recommend some books or scriptures I should begin reading so I can have a better understanding of the religion.

Greetings, In the world we live today, one may ask if they should get the COVID-19 vaccination. To answer this, let us consider what Jah teaches about life. Life is a beautiful, delicate thing. We eat right to keep ourselves healthy, thus preserving our health. This honors Jah. Rasta doesn't need to rely on man to protect his health, because Jah will. For as long as the Rasta is pure with good intentions, Jah will be his guide.
I am a research scientist. From this scientific perspective, the vaccine wasn't prepared properly. Any vaccine must undergo years, many times decades of trials and testing before it is considered to be safe to apply to humans. Scientists have been trying to find a vaccine for AIDS and Hepatitis C since the 1970s. But yet, Babylon proposes this vaccine under 12 months. From a purely scientific perspective, it is unwise to take it.
However, more importantly, let Jah be your guide. Do not take this post as advice against the vaccine, for I am not a doctor. Look within and think for yourselves. Do not be like the sheep being led to the slaughterhouse.
