A list of puns related to "Radio K.A.O.S."
Listening to Radio K.A.O.S for the first time in about 25 years. My god! It does not disappoint. Masterpiece...
I personally like Roger Water's 1987 album Radio K.A.O.S., am I alone?

I've only heard 2, so for me it's just Amused To Death > Is This The Life We Really want, although I love both
Radio K.A.O.S. has good ideas but ultimately suffers from the overwhelming 80's production. Roger said himself that his attempt to modernize the record ruined it and he dislikes it to this day. The album has a great concept IMO, but it was never fully realized because the album was shortened to a single LP. Adding the b-sides to the album add crucial parts of the story that are left out otherwise.
Mock tracklist:
Seeing what Billy Corgan is doing with the Machina re-issue makes me think of the possibilities here.
Thoughts?
First off, I like this album, even if it is a bit... eighties. But this particular album doesn't get talked about so much and I've always wondered about a few things like what was Roger really going for and who the hell is "Billy", aside from being some Welsh kid? He's referenced in most of the songs and at some breaks between songs. Thanks for any insights.
I was listening to Roger Waters' Radio K.A.O.S., and I got to the track "Four Minutes" and the man at around 45 seconds, he says "I'm Jim and this is Radio KAOS and with only four minutes left to us, let's use this as wisely as possible. Out at Dodger Stadium. It's the bottom of the seventh, the Dodgers are leading three to nothing over the Giants, and for those of you who are looking to go surfing tomorrow, too bad."
I was watching TV, and as he said that, the sports network showed highlights from the Dodgers vs Giants game. In the bottom of the 7th. The Dodgers are leading...

and it was amazing.. I really liked it.. I'm going to listen to Amused to Death later on :)
am i the only one who , all through the album, kept thinking "This is a terrible album" and by the end thought "Wow, that was incredible!"
Hi, I'm new to the Reddit community and was AMAZED that there is a whole category on Pink Floyd and many other great bands. Anyway, I would like to ask the Waters fans what is your favorite album of his solo career? I don't really count Music From the Body or Ca Ira because one is co-written by Waters and the other is an Opera.
I'd read articles about this before. In those articles, they referred to a BBC computer, which I took to mean, some sort of specialized computer in one of the BBC's facilities.
Turns out (thanks to whoever updated the Wikipedia entry for Radio KAOS with this info), it was just a BBC Micro.
You can emulate this:
BeebEm (Windows, Linux): http://www.mkw.me.uk/beebem/
Speech! software synth: http://www.emuparadise.me/Acorn_BBC_Micro_ROMs/Speech!(1985)(Superior)[h_TSTH][bootfile][SSD]/123946-download
Install BeebEm and extract the .ssd file from the Speech! zip archive.
Run BeebEm.
File -> Load Disc 0. Select the Speech! .ssd file you just unzipped.
Shift-F12. This will restart the computer and boot from the disk.
Choose option 1 - *RUN SPEECH
Type (You need the asterisk. There should be no space between the asterisk and the command): *PITCH E
Type: *SAY HELLO, IME, BILLY,, I HEER RADIO WAVES IN MY HED
Phonetics tend to work better than literal spellings in some cases, as above. The period causes the voice to drop to make it sound more conversational (barely.) Comma is a pause without the drop.
There is an option when you boot to run a demo. Worth doing to see how to tweak the voice synthesizer in various ways.
Because they're all not 'C's.
what do you guys think? of the album/concept
