During the 1930s, Polish monarchists, who later became part of the Government-in-Exile, considered Prince George, Duke of Kent for the Polish throne. Unfortunately Prince George was killed in action in 1942, before the liberation of Poland and the GIE was never restored.

Potential 5th candidate for King of Poland: Prince George, Duke of Kent
Apparently, during OTL WW2, there was some talk within the Polish government of inviting Edward VIII's younger brother, Prince George, Duke of Kent, to become King of Poland. The plan fell through of course, but what if, in Kaiserreich, Edward VIII decides to put George forward as a candidate, as a long shot to bring Poland into the Entente? Ed doesn't really have anything to lose by doing so, and since Poland can already join the Entente, I don't think it's that far fetched.
Plus, he's prime husbando material: https://78.media.tumblr.com/446d0b4aed9da897ecc3949f91234228/tumblr_mfg5rr1zbO1r5ljkwo1_500.jpg

POD: Prince Albert aka The Duke of York gives up smoking at the advice of his therapist, Lionel Logue. Because of this George VI doesn't die in 1952 and reminds King of England which also means that his wife doesn't become a widow & reminds Queen.
How does a longer living King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon impact both the United Kingdom and the world in the decades since?
Also because His Majesty gives up smoking, I feel that butterflies would exist in the TL that would lead to Lionel Logue still living as well.
Ideally, this AU scenario would end with both George VI and his beloved wife both passing away in their sleep on March,30,2002. [In OTL, this was the date that the Queen Mother passed away.]
