I'm interested if folks with optics experience can confirm (or not) the explanation of this puzzle.
I'm a physics teacher, and another physics teacher brought this to my attention and couldn't explain it, and it's a pretty interesting discrepant event that I hadn't seen before.
Basically, two circularly polarized Real3D glasses usually let most light through (constricting them both to be either right side up or upside down), except for one particular orientation AND one particular order out of 8 possible.

A major contributor to the current vicious political climate are the incentives created by a monopolistic democracy in which power is great and much wealth can be obtained by having friends in power.
Such a system creates a circus around those in power, Washington DC in our case, and out from this place comes those whose job is to keep their side in power, that is, to run election strategy.
And now it has been discovered that the masses have been sufficiently dumbed down by the education system that they can be driven to vote in a certain way purely by use of emotion and outrage politics.
It used to be that people like Rush Limbaugh would say you can't just be against something you have to be for something to win an election: that a purely negative campaign would tend to fail.
And they used to try to teach principles to the public and promise to govern along those principles, even though they never did.
Today the political game has devolved to generating outrage against political opponents, to the point that both sides try to portray the other as not merely wrong but evil. Why? Because angry people vote reliably, so both sides do all they can go make their side angry.
In a democracy, you win or lose by how well you can get your side out to vote, purely. The game is to demoralize the 'enemy' and rile up your own people.
And increasingly the republicans attempt various voter suppression measures as well, while the democrats try to make it ever easier for anyone to vote, even foreign nationals.
Two sides of the same sick coin.
And this is only a single problem of democracy among many. Some people like to propose this or that solution to the two party system, a tweak, a new voting technique, but these cannot address the other problems in democracy.
A big one is the lobbying problem. I thought about this problem off and on for decades, and never once did I find a proposed solution to the lobbying problem that couldn't be easily avoided by those in power.
People today instead simply tend to accept that our legislators become filthy rich in office, and they know that it's through various forms of corruption, but seeing no solution they accept it. Journalists don't even bother trying to expose this corruption because it's considered endemic to the game. Get a powerful position in Washington as a congressman or senator and wealth will definitely follow from just a few backroom deals, and no one even bats an eye, everyone is doing it.

Can Laser Projector(s) that use the Phosphor method still create the proper Polarized Light for Passive 3D?
If so, does the extremely sharp reflective angle of ultra short throw laser projectors cause any noticeable issue with the polarized light (either at the extreme angle coming thru the projector's polarizer and/or issues of the angle of reflectance near the outer edges of the picture on the silver screen)?
This can be done relatively cheaply if someone can do some basic electronics assembly for them. The effect is amazing once you understand what is going on. Color that is created naturally is nearly always not polarized. Artificial/man made colored objects mostly give off polarized light. If you have a filter that constantly shifts polarization it will cause all artificial objects in your field of view to stand out. It's like viewing an LCD watch with polarized sun glasses, from one angle you can see the display and as it rotates the display goes invisible. It's also possible to computer enhance this to further improve the contrast and it's not that hard to do.
This checks a lot of boxes for me. If there are actively camouflaged military aircraft in the sky they could possibly become visible using this technique. Or if aliens, maby they will become visible as well
