I am looking for a pitching machine for the Kenya national team. Any leads on good specs and costs are welcome. We barely have enough but we really must get a batting machine, hopefully it will help the team with batting practice.
I want to help my son practice hitting to get his batting average up, but I don’t have the arm and skill to throw him strikes consistently. I want to use an Iron Mike pitching machine from a local batting cage. I know it’s hard to time it like a real live person throwing because you cannot see the release point but can he just track the ball midway to the plate and swing from there? How do you time the ball and when do you decide when to swing? Sorry for my naivete, I never played baseball but I am just a dad trying to help my son get his batting average up because he is hitting into groundballs a lot lately.
Anyone have any recommendations for a mini-wiffle ball (golf ball wiffle balls) pitching machine?
My requirements:
- Rechargeable battery powered so I can take it to a field somewhere and practice
- Batting practice
- Catching/Receiving (I have a webglove for this drill) for catchers
- Catching/Receiving for outfield - need to be able to aim this thing in the air
- Speed variability so I can do BP in the garage at shorter distances (slow) and still be able to chuck these things fast enough for when I'm at the field
I know ugoprobaseball has exactly what I'm looking for, but I was wondering if there was a more budget option. There are so many of these dinky pitching machines to choose from, so I'm having a hard time justifying $250+ for something if a cheaper version is available.
If anyone has used the ugoprobaseball mini-wiffle ball pitching machine, your experiences with it might help convince me to get it, too. My baseball training aid budget for 2021 has been well surpassed, ha.

Are there any outdoor batting cages with pitching machines within around 20 miles of Gwinnett county ?
My girls are 12u and we need a pitching machine. Does anyone know where I can find a decent one at a decent price? I’ve searched everywhere I can think of and haven’t came across one. We are a rec team playing at a rec park that has little money. My girls defense is really good but our batting isn’t up to par because they don’t see fastballs coming down the strike zone enough. I have 3 pitchers but they can’t pitch the entire practice and I try to throw them in there fast but it’s just not up to par. Please send me any recommendations you have!

But since it uses a ball instead of a puck, will it actually help?
Unfortunately hockey is not popular in the state I live in so the closest ice rink is hours drive away so an additional question I ask is can I substitute training with a puck by using a ball just like the machine shoots for ice hockey?
Or should I start buying puck specific devices and clear a part in my apartment room to train with pucks?
