A list of puns related to "Piece Hall"
Hey ya'll, I know we all know how great this game is and how multi-layered it is with the narrative, plot, and gameplay. Last night, on my 192nd run, I found another new (new-to-me) bit of dialogue and I was so excited about it that I wanted to share it to see if anyone else has gotten that bit of dialogue as well.
It happened when I got back to the House, and >!went over to the bust of the old man. I poked it a couple of times and got the usual "Hello??", "Erm.. Hello?", "I know you're in there" dialogue from Zag. Then, when I dashed away, I got dialogue from the narrator saying that Zag, the stone-poker, didn't find anything on the bust. There was another line that I got after I went back and poked at the bust again several more times. !<
I'm just so stoked at the layers of nuances and things you can discover from playing this game long enough. I feel like SGG rewards the players who keep coming back with these nuggets. Anyone else feel this way?
I got this from a YouTuber which I thought was very interesting.
Hall of fame/HOF = Aka people who are considered the greatest just after the GOAT(in this case pirate king).
In my opinion this is how I see it:
UNDISPUTED GOAT: Roger(Pirate King)
HOF:
Tier 1= Rocks, White Beard
Tier 2 = Shiki
Tier 3 = Big Mom, Kaido and Shanks
Tier 4 = Black Beard
Tier 5 = Luffy
So I recently just got into the world of Games Workshop tabletop games by playing Blood Bowl 7s with my friends. They're big into Warhammer 40k too, but it just never appealed to me because I'm not a huge Sci-Fi fan. I always said that I could be interested in Age of Sigmar because it's more up my alley like LotR, but lo and behold I discovered there was a way to actually cut out the middle man.
I've been pouring over all of the factions, and I was immediately drawn to the Mirkwood Elves because they seem exactly like my style (I've been playing Wood Elves in Blood Bowl too). I think this is in no small part because of Thranduil's model on his elk, and I think it's absolutely gorgeous. I would love to get into the game, but I'm unsure of how many boxes I would need for a functioning army. I looked up a lot of competitive lists and they all have somewhere in the range of ~12+ Mirkwood Rangers/Armored Elves, which would mean 2 boxes of 10 each? That seems like a lot.
From there it starts to get really daunting because would I need the captains and palace guards too? I suppose Legolas and Tauriel are necessary, as well. What about infantry Thranduil? The whole process starts to get very overwhelming for a first-timer, lol.
So I'm not sure where to even begin. I was thinking the Battle of Pelennor Fields starter kit might be the best bet because it's the most value and I can immediately play with a friend who doesn't want to invest in the game, but I really want to play those Elves. I think my budget is around ~$200 to start with. I've heard estimates on what my friends have spent on their "plastic crack" 40k armies and I don't want to approach anywhere near that number, so some help here where to begin is really appreciated. Thanks!
