I’ve recently been growing in my devotion to Our Lady of Walsingham, I’d love nothing more than to actually be able to make a pilgrimage to Walsingham one day.
Does anyone here have a devotion to Our Lady of Walsingham that they regularly practice? If so, what is your devotion? ☺️
Bill, the movie, is supposed to take place in 1593, and the film includes the fan favourite character Sir Francis Walsingham. However, this is kind of a historical retcon of sorts as he actually died in 1590 as mentioned in the IMDb goofs section, which is 2 years before the movie's events. But also, this is kinda intentional as we hear characters in Bill constantly mention "Walsingham! I though you were dead!" throughout the movie. While it does make sense and is kinda funny, it did make me think the actual inside lore of the film to how he actually came back to life. Was it witchcraft of some sorts? The dark arts? After 6 years of service in the USAF and an honorable discharge I returned to civilian life to discover a deck stacked against me. Inadequate access to healthcare, student loan debt that I may never be able to repay for an education that I can’t use because the school is insolvent, climate change and a stagnant government has created an atmosphere of despair that was slowly smothering me. I live to serve, it’s what led me to the Air Force and it’s what’s motivating my canandicy now. I cannot sit on the sidelines witnessing suffering if it feels there’s something I can do to alleviate it.
I was so inspired by Andrew Yang, his authenticity and compassion was enough to get me to give the Freedom Dividend a second look because I was NOT a fan at first. But the more I studied, the more curious I got and the more it made sense. It took awhile for me to come around but now I’m all in. I have realized that not only is it POSSIBLE for our economy to support a guaranteed income for all but that it has the potential to alleviate, or at least lessen, so much of the suffering that continues to be perpetuated by systemic inequality.
The specific details of how a UBI will be funded and how much we could actually afford to pay each person are still up for debate. If elected I intend to push that debate forward every chance I get by seeking mutual understanding and cooperation with compassion and empathy. I am so grateful for all the hard work and sacrifice of everyone who came before me but we’ve been following a false story over a cliff and the ground is coming up fast. It is clear to me that the America my parents and grandparents still dream of is not an America that’s worth leaving to my kids.

He orders everyone a round.
"Hey, you! Soldier! Get over here! What's your name?"
"John."
"John?! What the hell kind of army do you think this is? John! I never call my soldiers by their first names. It breeds familiarity and leads to a breakdown in discipline. I only ever call my soldiers by their last names: Smith, Jones, Jenkins, and so on. And you will refer to me as sergeant major. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, sergeant major."
"Good. Now that we've got that settled, what is your name, soldier?"
The soldier breathes a heavy sigh and answers "Darling. My name is John Darling, sergeant major."
"Okay John, here's what I need you to do..."
The title pretty much sums up this unresolved mystery. The only reference we found to this incident was in the April 20, 1972 Las Vegas Review-Journal. We found no follow up articles or other information about this bizarre occurrence.

"A human skull wrapped in a brown cardboard box was delivered to the Las Vegas police station Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Officers indicated the box was wrapped in a plain brown wrapper and was delivered to the desk sergeant by a male adult.
The box was addressed to Sgt. Jack Phillips of the department's homicide division. Inside was the cranium of a skull with sand and dirt encrusted on the crown."

This is something I can't get my head around, Henry VIII wanted to keep the Church of England Catholic, but he destroyed one of the most important shrines in England, not to mention that of Thomas Becket. When watching documentaries they often don't make clear that Henry did not want to reform the church but instead wanted to be the head of the church of England. I see why he dissolved the monasteries, to gain the land and wealth, but I don't know why he would destroy the shrine of which he himself visited to pray for son.
I’ve heard every label used against Democrats and I’ve been called all sorts of things. DEMON-CRAT, DEMO-RAT, COMMIE. It’s fine. I have a thick skin. What that says about the people leading the charge in these attacks is that they are scared! They are scared that voters might want to try something new. Labels keep voters in line. My policies are based on ideas that we’ve been trained to dismiss because if you believe, like I do, that each of us is worth more than we have been led to believe, then the balance of power will shift away from centralized bureaucracy and lessen the power of those who lead.
Labels tell voters to shut their eyes and close their ears. Elections are becoming more about boxing us into a corner rather than an exercise in free thinking.
I am Blair Walsingham. I am not Nancy, Chuck, Hillary, Bill, Barack or Bernie. If I had to pick a face to define what I stand for, it would be the face of any voter in the country who is seeking health, freedom and financial security.
The worst part about this gang style political environment is that what it really means is that voters have given up. They have decided that the individual means so little that only the faces on tv matter.
