With the winter wait for the next half of Season 4 upon us, we realize that there are going to continue to be more and more repetitive speculation posts on what may yet happen in the remainder of Young Justice: Phantoms. The majority of these threads really don't need to be threads, as they are more commentaries on things that belong to episode/post discussion. Thus, we are continuing the trend of a pinned post entirely for centralized speculation, to diminish the aforementioned problem.
From now on, some threads, if deemed so, are going to be removed and redirected here, to keep the subreddit clean as well as discussions more focused and less repetitive.
Keep it crash, and if you feel confused/think you missed something (S4 related) feel free to ask it in here too, rather than making a whole thread about it.
Our first speculation thread was replaced by the trending event we enacted this past Thursday to coincide with the mid-season finale, and that post is now being replaced by a new speculation thread. Still, I'm sure many of you are wondering how it went, and we're happy to report that #RenewYoungJustice trended on the Entertainment page of Twitter for several hours, even making it to the top ten for a stretch. We had thousands of Tweets over pretty much half the day and got plenty of engagement from YJ cast and crew. Y'all crushed that magic and we can hope that HBO Max, WB, and the other powers that be took notice. If we want to see Season 5 realized, we can continue to share our love for the show on social media and keep it trending on HBO Max during the off-season. But hey, that's business as usual. We got this!

Caught this scene from Billy Liar (1963) which reminded me a ton of the New Years scene in Phantom thread.. similar location, shot from the balcony, the intense spot light.. all very similar. I'm pretty sure we even catch a glimpse of a conga line in Phantom Thread too..

So, recently I got to see some phantom green Folds irl. Showcase models. In another city.
I remember people posting about the colour of the Folds just as they were released. Got mine on day one, and also was shocked by how not green it looked like.
So recently I held my one against some phantom green ones and they are much greener than mine :D
Didn't take pics sadly, just remembered this now and thought I'd share this information with you.
Has anyone else noticed that some regions or day 1 phantom green Folds actually look black? Don't know what is the real case. Didn't find any info on this.

I don't understand his casual reaction being poisoned, unless the film was going for an absurdist angle - which would be incongruous with the rest of the film imo.

I've recorded a classical piece on a Steinway acoustic grand piano. But there is a lot of accent on all the notes, even as what I'm playing is very legato and I'm hitting the keys as smoothly as possible.
I would like to get a sound similar to this recording, from the Phantom Thread soundtrack, starting around 0:30. It's super smooth and hardly any accents on the notes.

I'm working in protools, I have 2 stereo tracks, one from close to the open lid and one from the back of the room. I've tried using heavy compression to curb the transients and bring up the sustained sound to even everything out. But it just ends up sounding squashed with accents still apparent on each note. Any ideas?
EDIT: Thanks to everyone so far for their input! Seems like many agree it is either felted or the muting pedal. However, here is another example of a recording which, although it has a very different tone, achieves a similarly smooth and sustained sound with little accent. And this one is definitely recorded on a "normal" grand piano. Granted, he is one of the best piano players in the world, but it's still an amazing sound and texture in the recording. Merry left after she talked about her "dream". Renko's conclusion? it wasn't one. Merry seems to have crossed a boundary and entered another world, the objects she brought back are evidences of it. So what does she want to do now? It is quite dangerous to wander into foreign worlds without even realizing it. Renko does have an idea...
Starting with a classic train sound, the theme leads the listeners into a mysterious, unexplored and a potentially dangerous world. The piano tells the beautiful tale of a fantasy world, where many wondrous secrets are hidden. And a synthetic sound (not sure what it bases upon) tells the opposite. Dark, dangerous and threatening. Not everything can welcome a foreign person, after all.
Another lovely theme with a mix of beautiful and dark atmosphere I adore. And this train sound effect has also its charm despite it not being present too often. Or maybe, that's exactly the reason why.
