A list of puns related to "Peter van der Merwe (cricketer)"
Was listening to the the Thistle Rugby Pod and they brought up that Duhan is an alternative spelling of Dwayne. Is this bullshit?
Hi Reddit, I'm Vincent van der Merwe, a National Geographic Explorer focusing on cheetah conservation with the Endangered Wildlife Trust. I have been working in cheetah conservation for ten years now and have coordinated the capture and relocation of over 250 wild cheetahs between protected areas to prevent inbreeding. I have overseen the reintroduction of wild cheetahs into 20 protected areas, and currently co-ordinate the management of the only growing wild cheetah population worldwide. My research interests include the historical distribution of cheetahs, their genetic status and the global decline of wild cheetah populations since the advent of agriculture. My hobbies include hiking, playing squash, travelling in Africa and farming avocados. AMA!

EDIT: Hey guys. I had plenty of fun answering your questions. I need to head out to prepare for a Cheetah capture tomorrow. Many thanks for joining our AMA session and to National Geographic for the support that they give to my work.
Have a super day :)
Cheers, Vincent
Dr. Van der Merwe is the leading medical expert on board, but now resides in the brig, awaiting a decision on his future.
Evidence has been found of Dr. VdM performing morally gray genetic modification experiments. 6 individuals are reported as in ill-health and a pregnancy has had to be terminated as a result of these experimental modifications. Dr. VdM has produced signed consent documentation, which the victims deny signing, and evidence which suggests the procedures skirt the lines of illegality. All in all a judgement call has to be made, and as no one seems willing to make it the call has risen to the top of the chain.
Casting a further shade of grey over the situation is that the results of these modifications show promise in helping adaptation to a new planet. Several gene sequences introduced into the genome of these patients, allegedly without their knowledge, have shown a higher expression of metagenic factors in the blood. The evidence report goes into this with high technical detail but the essential summary is that this research if perfected could modify the genome of a population to make them more adaptive to new environments. VdM's own scribbled footnotes state "Evolution in decades not millenia!!"
Dr. VdM is content that the reward of this research outweighs any discomfort or death experienced by his patients, and holds firm that he acted only with their consent.
The patients demand punishment and corrective treatment, without which they will likely die due to unforseen issues, which Dr. VdM believes he can correct for in future iterations.
So far this situation has been kept on a need to know basis, with patients confined to the infirmary under standard quarantine procedures, but with every day this goes unresolved there is greater chance of information spreading around the ship.
How do you deal with the situation?
