A list of puns related to "Personal fable"
Hey everyone,
I have been watching a few world championship speeches and I noticed, most of them are personal stories. I am still in my level 1 3rd project and have only done 2 speeches so far including ice breaker. I usually tell a meaningful story and connect it to my personal life. Do you think it's best to avoid any nonpersonal stories?
Hi! I've just recently got back into roleplaying after years. I'm excited. I'm looking for someone to contribute to the story and to go on adventures with them. I'm flexible when it comes to stories. I can get pretty busy but I will always try to get back to you in a timely manner. I prefer to write in 3rd person and I'd like it if there was a romantic dynamic but it's not a deal breaker. As I said before I'm flexible. Now for my ideas! there are only two, however they are not the only ones I will do. You're welcome to bring your own RP ideas to the table.
The first: Silent Hill. Our characters are thrown into silent hill to face the demons and monsters of their mistakes, failures, and themselves. Silent hill is a personalized nightmare where the demons and the challenges mirror our characters' sins. I want to create creatures based on the personality and deepest fear our characters have. This scenario is meant to be a more psychological horror than anything. At the start each of our characters take a personality test to get a better understanding of their inner selves. The deeper an understanding the better the creatures. Then they wake up in a town where the fog is thick and ash falls from the sky like snow and the horrors get worse and worse, Silent Hill. Somehow our characters end up together and their nightmare is shared between each other as they survive and attempt to better understand this place and make it out alive together.
The second: FABLE. will, guile, strength. What discipline is your character drawn too? I have some ideas about the dynamic of this one. My character is a hero of strength that uses will to increase his strength. He comes off as abrasive and cold but deep inside he's a very caring person. Imagine a stern father figure. Now the guild is pairing him with another hero, but who? That part is up to you. are you an apprentice? a seasoned veteran? does she use will? Guile? maybe he gets another hero of strength for a partner! The anticipation is killing him (He won't show it though.) You can be as good or evil as your heart desires. This one we make our own stories and accept our own guild cards together. I GM the first quest card and you GM the next and then we alternate.
These are just the two RP's that I have in mind and if you have one to bring to the table feel free. I'll give you a detailed description of my character when you decide what you want to do. I can't wait to hear about yours. I use discord but send me

I think each game has their flaws, and each game has their strengths.
TLC, imo, easily has the best fantasy aspect to it and overall the best story among the three mainline titles. It also has the best antagonist among them, being Jack of Blades. Jack of Blades is one of my favorite villains in gaming. The voice, the look, the seemingly overwhelming power he appears to have when you first meet him, which is only enhanced when you find out his backstory and just how evil and old he is.
Scythe is an added bonus, as he too is shrouded in mystery upon first contact.
Obviously given it's the first game it is not as refined as the sequels. Linear paths, rather dull combat in comparison (mainly melee and ranged here. I personally never use the bows), and lack of customization. However despite all of this, the first game does a damn good job at setting up the setting of Fable. A mixture of lightheartededness, darkness, and humor combined which is hard to do properly.
Fable II is my personal favorite of the series for many reasons. The combat is far more engaging (with the introduction of guns being a key factor here) and the open-world setting it has definitely adds to its favor. Customization is far better than the first game, and Fable II also introduces the doggo. However not even this game is free of criticism. We're all aware of how there wasn't even a final boss fight (though the thematic aspect of the end game does work, I would have liked to fight Lucien myself), and how broken the money system is in this game. An improvement of the first, though to the point where you do a single job to level 5 you start avalanching your way to endless money, since you accumulate wealth even when not playing.
Where TLC had Thunder, Maze, Briar Rose, Scarlet Robe, Whisper, Scythe, the Guildmaster, Nostro, and JoB himself, Fable II does not have as strong a lineup.
Hammer is... Hammer. She's just kinda there for me. She does have solid motivations, in that she despises being a pacifist and forsakes it completely after her father dies.
However her personality outright infuriates me at times, like when she insults Garth because he worked with Lucien even though Garth had no idea what his true motivations were. Garth even admitted that had he known what Lucien was gonna do when he left the castle, he

But this time I decided to give it a chance, bought the DLCs I was missing and started playing it. As soon as I started I noticed some slightly annoying stuff, like the text and stuff being at a lower resolution than in Fable 2 some reason (playing on Series X) and a bit later started noticing a really annoying issue with textures that sometimes would just appear black, sometimes small patches on the ground, sometimes a big chunk of the floor was completely black, specially on Mistpeak Valley, but I kept playing and honestly I've just been having a lot of fun, haven't even advanced much in the story, just been doing weapon challenges and stuff, but I'm enjoying it, the game also looks amazing (when it's not bugged) and honestly just walking around Brightwall interacting with the people feels so nice, I've just started appreciating every little detail and I love it, maybe it's not playing it in such a long time, but I'm probably having more fun with 3 than I had with 2 and 1 in these years.
I'm glad I've given this game another chance, and also the combat is really satisfying, probably too simple and easy for me, but the animations and sound are great, makes the fights feel a lot more intense.
I have a really foggy memory of a story about someone trapped or cursed into servitude with the caveat that they can trick someone into taking their place and the curse/trap will pass onto them and so on. If anyone can clear it up for me I would appreciate it. It's driving me nuts.
today i noticed something while playing fable 2 with xcloud on pc, i havenΒ΄t known all those years before...
npcΒ΄s give a really diverse monologue when looking with first person view to them. im amazed and shocked, i didnΒ΄t knew that... all those years, wasted immersion. :(
While watching a documentary about vikings, the narrator mentioned that to people in the period asking them if they thought a giant or troll were real would be like asking us in a bear is real, to them it was an irrefutable fact of life and that the proof was their constant presence in both literature and decoration.
This led to me question how we know that this representations were a reflection of literal belief and not akin to us having innumerable books and media around vampires or Harry Potter for example?
